You look quite nice. I'll agree with Teddy; the one with the tree is pretty good.

As far as I'm aware, this is the first photo of me for about six months, although my parents might have a few. I'm usually good at dodging cameras, but a couple got through on this occasion.

Annoyingly, my beard here is about halfway between clean-shaven and "proper beard" so looks pretty scruffy. Inevitably, almost as soon as it started to look respectable again I had to shave it.[SPOILER]Yon picture.

And on the topic of computer and/or physical stationery, I've always preferred my pencil and exercise book combination. Add in a pencil case full of other useful tools, a stack of extra books and a folder with a combination of lined, graph and blank paper, and I'm all good.
But then, I find portable technology annoying on a very regular basis. At least a pencil doesn't need anti-virus software.

Basically, I got the impression that he was paying you a compliment (and that it was most definitely not a sex pun, whoever suggested that), the compliment being that people like you enough to allow you to... err... deface their face.
