Nidalee because it's like 6 champs in one.

    Support cat.

    Top Cat.
    Top Human.

Even before you get into AD vs AP vs Bruiser Nidalee.
Not Person_Man, don't thank me for things he did.

Nid is fun but hard to master.

Gragas is super awesome because A) he is melee B) he looks like a bruiser C) he plays like a mage. Gragas is one of the few mages I feel comfortable playing.

Also: expect lots of nid FOTM now that Stanley has shown the world she's still good.

I don't think that anyone ever thought that bruiser Nid was bad, and Bischu (suuuuch a cutie) and Scarra have caused a super awesome albeit somewhat small resurgence of AP Nidalee. More accurately, AP Midalee.

Though Support Nid and ADC Nid aren't very good at all.

Well, that puts Nidalee to 6 votes so it seems like she'll be the next champ I get.

Interesting fact, now that I'm thinking about it, I've never actually played nidalee ever, which is weird because I've played most champs atleast once when they were free, but never nidalee. I know she can go ad top for lolz or AP (THE SPEAR!) but other than that, I really don't know anything about her. Anyone want to give me some build advice?

I never really played Nidalee either. I just tried her on the PBE and she's pretty cool.

Also, I wouldn't underestimate her heal, TBH. Get some good AP and the infinite mana that is Chalice + Blue and you've got what amounts to a "what's going back to base?"

When going AP you can do two things. Tanky AP or Orbital Spear Cannon aka "Rods from God" build.

Tanky AP goes the general tanky ap build of Chalice, Abysall, Zhonyas and spends most of her time in cougar form trying to flank the squishes (Not the easiest play style or laning phase)

Rods from God goes pure glass cannon AP style but you still want a chalice to keep your mana up and make laning easier (assuming you are middle). This is the easiest build because all it requires is you the throw out your Q and hope it hits and watch the enemy lose 40-50% hp.

When going AD top the main goal is HARASS!!! Get AD and ArmPen runes and ruin the day of any melee range champions. Start boots +3 and on first back try to get 2 doran's blades. Between your passive, AutoAttacks and your heal, you can usually win any exchanges and after 6 you WILL win exchanges.

Biggest problem with AD nidalee is she falls off HARD late game and is usually best at baiting people to chase her and cleaning up teamfights of running enemies.

People make this mistake a lot, and I think it's something that should be clarified. There is a big distinction between "bad in team fights" and "falls off". AD Nidalee is a very mediocre team fighter, except as you mentioned at cleaning people up. But she's very very strong in 1v1's at all stages of the game, and can't be caught, so if she just split pushes her "late game" is amongst the best.

Is it just me, or would Nashor's Tooth be a pretty good item on Lulu? Aspd for the passive, CDR and AP for everything else.

Because really, if your passive can be better used when you give it to an ally that doesn't seem too good.

So, finally tried out nidalee for the first time in my life and wow. I can see why people like her, but I found her cat form awkward to use, though I think that'll become better with time and practice. And I finally understand what her q in cat form did. So this was a good buy, thanks guys!

Yeah. She's actually the best primary mage crossing over to the support role that I've seen thusfar. Fiddles, Galio, and Lux were okay but Zyra feels really solid in that role.

Basically, the issue with Nashor's on Lulu is the same as the issue with Nashor's on everyone: the melange of stats it gives doesn't scale together well enough to be worth the squishiness of the item, and the playstyles of AS and AP don't hybridize well. If you play onhit Lulu, you're better off with strictly onhit items like Wit's, Mallet/Trinity, Spark, MBR, and the like. If you play AP Lulu, you're better off with strictly AP items.

Just caught up on 6 pages of posts. So happy that TPA won! They are an awesome and humble team :) Toyz and Stanley my role models now.

Just a comment on starting boots+3: I start this in order to support/init ganks. On heavy ganking junglers like Diana, Shaco and ALISTAR, boots is a must. In fact on these I usually run MS masteries, MS quints and on Ali, the "Initiator" mastery on the Defence tree.

You don't need to be fast in the jungle, you need to be fast when ganking or escaping, considering almost every laner starts Boots+3.

No I will not come back and spam with a million smurfs like XJ9

Nor will I make rage threads about it like others.

I expected this, it would be almost weird to me if this didn't happen.

Anyways heres the letter I planned to post a week ago after my last ban

    Hello, Iaw here.
I have been posting on this forum since early 2010 and finally
I have decided to stop 'trolling' and retire from the forums. Before I do I would just like to point out a few things

    1. You may have noticed that I emphasized the word 'trolling' in the above sentence. You see heres the thing, I NEVER once seriously considered myself a forum troll. There are trolls who TRY to incite rage in people and they earn their name. I never wanted to make people angry, moreso I just wanted to break up the boring whining on General Discussion and make people laugh.

This brings me to my next point, and it honestly makes me sad when I think about it. The only reason I was ever considered a troll, was because I like anime. Thats it. I NEVER trolled the majority of you. You simply decided to blindly hate something you don't understand, like anime and troll yourselves into getting angry at my posts. I remember when Shurellia was here the majority of you did the same thing and labeled her a 'troll'. Its sad that in the modern day, on the internet, a place where no one knows each other that we can still blindly rage at someone just because they like something that we don't. I'll tell you one thing about me personally, where I live, the majority of people are basically straight out of Jersey Shore in terms of personality.

I don't give a **** about what Jasmine's wearing to the party, or how much you bench(I actually go to the gym regularly and I STILL DONT CARE HOW MUCH YOU LIFT). The internet is supposed to be the place I can come and talk about something other than Jersey Shore, like anime. Sadly even that is being limited.

    2. On to my next point. I'm sure many of you are thinking "Iaw WHY do you spam gifs all the time here?". Funny story I don't do it for attention. The main reason I do it is simply to point out how barbaric these forums currently are. Why don't we have avatars and signatures in 2012? This isn't hard to implement Riot. I post on other forums as well as this one and I NEVER post pictures on those because guess what? If I like an anime I can simply make it my avatar and sig and i'm done.

    3. The Upvote/Downvote system is the most toxic thing I have seen on a forum in ages. Now personally I don't care if people hate me and downvote my threads to closed. I really don't. However there have been a few flaws with the system in the last few months that have been rather apparent to me.

A.Downvote bots. Yes they exist on THIS FORUM. You are free to believe me or not but when one of my threads can go from +10 to -20 in under a minute and theres only been one post in that time SOMETHING is wrong. I actually tested this about a month ago by having other people include my name in their OP when the bot was online and all the threads got instadownvoted to closed within 2 minutes. Regardless of content.

Ex: I think we should buff Karma she could use a few (iaw) tweaks

Note that this only worked when the bot was online typically during the day.

    B. Honestly the herd mentality of this community disgusts me. Back to the example I made earlier, I have had threads before at +10 and the first few pages are "GJ Iaw, posting in a IAW thread ♥" then the bot comes along and the thread spikes to -20 and suddenly people who post after the downvotes are like "You've lost your touch iaw, 0/10 I expected better"

Hell its not even me, its the fact that the majority glance at the number of downvotes a post has and just skip it if its red at all. This prevents some VERY good ideas from gaining support in this community. If you hate my threads, thats fine with me, if you love them, thats great. But when your opinion of a post is completely based off of the number of down/upvotes it has, over the content, its a problem.

For point #4 keep in mind I wrote this a week ago and lo and behold I actually got banned like I predicted.

    4. Like I said, i've been posting here since early 2010. Heres a funny story that will get us into my next point. I used to have a smurf on the forums. I did an experiment in early 2011 with it. Basically whenever I was on my smurf I would troll the forums like crazy, while I would only post serious threads on my "iaw" account. After about two weeks of this my smurf became ban on sight for the mods.

I mean I could literally post a thread on my smurf asking if I should build Trinity Force on Ezreal...BAN. "Hey guys what champ should I buy?" BAN. This is where the experiment gets funny. Whenever my smurf got banned I would hop on my main and post semi trollish threads. And of course I would never get banned on my main because mods didn't know my name on sight.

My point? When moderators know who you are it becomes a waiting game until your next ban. I'm not just saying it happens here. Before I posted here I used to post on another General Discussion forum. That forum was supposedly open to talk about ANYTHING related to the world. Well once I got well known enough on that forum I got two temp bans followed by a perma ban. I still remember how I got my permaban. Someone posted a thread asking "What is everyones favorite food?" I simply replied "Pizza"

BAM within 5 minutes I was perma banned.

Its getting to that point here, and I know that if I don't leave myself, I will be permabanned for something equally as stupid soon enough. Every 'well known troll' here has been banned at some point in the past. In fact many of them didn't leave until they got banned.

    5. I hope that if anything i've accomplished on this forum, its allowing at least ONE person to be themselves. If everyone was an exact clone of each other life would be very boring. GD is a small sample of this with the mass of whining and crying threads with the occasional "I <3 Riot" threads. Its been so stagnant, so boring, for two long years.

    6. Also I don't want to end this on a negative note. So I do want to point out somethings i've loved about this game and community

    A. The Tribunal and Leaver buster: Alot of new players wonder what LoL was like two years ago and I will tell you that it was MUCH worse. Trolling was rampant and in almost every single game. In terms of player behavior it was a GRUELING mental task just to play ranked due to how toxic it was. Like I would literally get massive headaches after playing one game because I would have to spend 40 minutes trying to convince a guy to stop afking because our jungler called him bad and kiss his ass in the hopes he would actually try to win. Tribunal and Leaver buster have done a good job at actually making this game enjoyable.

    B. Champion Balance is alot better. I still instinctively flinch when I get charged by Xin Zhao from when he was released. These days its not really that bad.

    C. The metagame being so stagnant has overall made the game better at least in my opinion. People always complain about how "Support is boring and no one plays it and people always fight to play carry" etc, when i first started playing LoL we had a meta too. It was AD mid or Annie/Karthus/TF, bot was double tank(Not bruiser literally tanks like Shen and Ali) Top could be anything but was usually an AD or AP. Back then our "I'm not supporting I only play mid" guy was basically like this

*Insta lock Teemo* "ME MID WE NEED A TANKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK PICK A TANK OR I AFK NUBS" And of course the Teemo would start with a Regrowth pendant and mana pot and rush the old malady and STACK MALADIES(Because they gave mad lifesteal and AS yo) and feed like crazy every game. And as the tank you were usually helpless to do anything about it.

While this metagame is rather bland it at least gives us some form of structure.

    D. Streams. I really really enjoy streams.

Also to all the people who posted anime gif topics with me, thanks for making GD fun to be on. Those threads were some of the few that actually made me laugh. I would love to keep making people laugh here, but fun on the forums is apparently not allowed.

In closing I would like to end my time here with the first picture I ever posted on the forums as I think it fits the situation well.

    Ja ne~

Edit: Wow, they actually managed to bring down the forum whole site under all the traffic.

Edit2: Site's back up, and a relevant red post is up already.
