Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
Zane thanks Serph and accepts his offers. Indeed, I would be most grateful for both the new technique and the meal. Also, at some point I would like to show you a way to break out of stone, it's quite useful, but rather time consuming. He waits for Serph's lead.
The crusader wouldn't exactly notice much trouble around the place, at least notable trouble to himself that he would need to defend from, then he notices the ones outside, he just approaches while sheathing his sword back, but keeping his shield just in case.
"Uh... hi, do you know what-...uh, what-."
he points at the withered tree, or whatever's left of it.

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
"So long as you're alive kid, you've got nothing to complain about." Serph leads the way into the DFI.
There he will take a seat on an available table and call an NPC to order his meal. For food four orders of roasted quail, two orders of each type of curry, three pork chops, three mutton chops, two roasted hydra heads and a custom order of fried ride to fit all the meat he ordered. For his drink just the regular Spryte.
After he orders he'll wait for his companion to order his meal. Since the food may take some time to arrive he places some idle conversation. "So..... what uh... brings you to the crossroads of all realities?" Also called the Nexus.

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
A grey skinned human forcefully opens the door to the inn, and walks in. At least he looked like a human. In truth he was of the Shadar-kai race as one might tell by his lustrous black eyes that lack distinguishable pupils. On his back is sheathed a large, single-edged greatsword. His attire consists of elaborate black and white plate armor defined by its sharpness. Short, spiked hair with a color to match his eyes does well to compliment his choice of outfit.
He glances from person to person, silently judging them. There was an odd assortment of patrons in this inn, even more so than the other nexus inns. At least in the other place there weren't... ponies? Yes, those would be ponies. The man notices one person who looks like they also just walked in: a knight in armor like he, but instead uses a shield/sword combo and dressed in blue. Probably a paladin or something.
For now, he would order a drink.
"Ice Liqueur," he directs at whichever PC is presently taking orders.

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
Nothing happens, since there aren't any NPC taking order or at least if a NPC takes his order he won't get it. DFI has 100% PC waitress and due to naku beeing away there is only Fade left. And he is just comming in from the outside as well.
"Can I bring you anything expect a extinguisher?"

Still on the bar is shadow Fade. Technicly the same as the real one just in shadow grey and with an echo in his voice.

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
And then Songdancer prepared to sing the longest song he has ever sung.
Spoiler
"A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And, maybe, they’d be happy for a while.
But february made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldn’t take one more step.
I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died.
So bye-bye, miss american pie.
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Did you write the book of love,
And do you have faith in God above,
If the Bible tells you so?*
Do you believe in rock ’n roll,
Can music save your mortal soul,
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?*
Well, I know that you’re in love with him
`cause I saw you dancin’ in the gym.
You both kicked off your shoes.
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues.
I was a lonely teenage broncin’ buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck,
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died.
I started singin’,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Now for ten years we’ve been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin’ stone,
But that’s not how it used to be.
When the jester sang for the king and queen,
In a coat he borrowed from james dean
And a voice that came from you and me,
Oh, and while the king was looking down,
The jester stole his thorny crown.
The courtroom was adjourned;
No verdict was returned.
And while lennon read a book of marx,
The quartet practiced in the park,
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died.
We were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Helter skelter in a summer swelter.
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter,
Eight miles high and falling fast.
It landed foul on the grass.
The players tried for a forward pass,
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast.
Now the half-time air was sweet perfume
While the sergeants played a marching tune.
We all got up to dance,
Oh, but we never got the chance!
`cause the players tried to take the field;
The marching band refused to yield.
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?*
We started singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Oh, and there we were all in one place,
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again.
So come on: jack be nimble, jack be quick!
Jack flash sat on a candlestick
Cause fire is the devil’s only friend.
Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No angel born in hell
Could break that satan’s spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw satan laughing with delight
The day the music died
He was singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news,
But she just smiled and turned away.
I went down to the sacred store
Where I’d heard the music years before,
But the man there said the music wouldn’t play.
And in the streets: the children screamed,
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed.
But not a word was spoken;
The church bells all were broken.
And the three men I admire most:
The father, son, and the holy ghost,
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died.
And they were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
They were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die."

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
"Bad mood? I'm in some mood, though I don't know the differences between them anymore."
The man will take out payment for the drink and place it on the counter.
"Thanks."
He takes off his gauntlets and sips on his drink intermittently. Suddenly songdancer begins to sing american pie. What a lengthy song! Hopefully he has a piano to play on to compliment the singing. Turning his gaze at Fade once more. Something provokes him to speak.

"I'm under orders from my pyromancer superior. I have to look for any weapon that can permanently delete something called heartless in our world. Nothing anyone has found is working so we're still looking. You wouldn't happen to know anything that might be used against them?" His purpose is no secret.
To the Fade he repeats the food and drink he ordered anything else. He wondered if the fade could cook though...

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
Clegg Thenardier nods. Since the whole fatal fall off the waterfall in Cylar, Thenardier had found a fondness in his heart for Irish drinking songs or such. Seeing as the ex-vigilante now is a heavy alcoholic he knows a fair amount of the songs. Though he's a pirate and a crook, he still has a heart for music. Actually, li'l pony thingy, 'ow about ye play an' ol' favorite 'o' mine, The Rocky Road to Dublin. 'Ere some lyrics. He will toss a piece of papaer at Songdancer.
SpoilerIn the merry month of May, From my home I started,
Left the girls of Tuam, Nearly broken hearted,
Saluted father dear, Kissed my darlin' mother,
Drank a pint of beer, My grief and tears to smother,
Then off to reap the corn, And leave where I was born,
I cut a stout blackthorn, To banish ghost and goblin,
In a brand new pair of brogues, I rattled o'er the bogs,
And frightened all the dogs,On the rocky road to Dublin.
n Mullingar that night, I rested limbs so weary,
Started by daylight, Next mornin' light and airy,
Took a drop of the pure, To keep my heart from sinkin',
That's an Irishman's cure, Whene'er he's on for drinking.
To see the lasses smile, Laughing all the while,
At my curious style, 'Twould set your heart a-bubblin'.
They ax'd if I was hired, The wages I required,
Till I was almost tired, Of the rocky road to Dublin.
Here's a youtube video of the song.

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
Songdancer's band of friends comes back and they get ready to play another set. Songdancer goes into human form, as does Banana Creme Pie.
Yes, she can too. She becomes an attractive 18 year old with blonde, curly hair, green eyes, and a tan complexion with freckles.
Oh, and a dress.
Anyways, they both grab microphones and begin their song!
(For those who want to hear it, it's called I Know You Too Well to Like You Anymore)
"Hey! Ho!
Hey! Ho!
Hey! Ho!
Hey! Ho!"
"I know you too well to like you anymore
I know you too well to like you anymore
There's a nightmare where my dream girl was"
"My prince charming is a bore"
"And I know you too well and I don't like you anymore"
"When we first started, even if you farted, I'd laugh and ask for more."
"And in the beginning we always were grinning, we didn't know what we were smiling for."
"We'd hold hands and then break dance, or rap like Dr. Dre."
"And side by side, we'd drink all night, disgusting all our friends with our PDA."
"You felt so good deep in my heart, and that's for sure."
"But now I feel sick when I'm around you.
It hurts my head to think of how"
"I know you too well to like you anymore
I know you too well to like you anymore
I'm stuck with someone I can't stand"
"I can't stand you even more"
"And I know you too well and I don't like you anymore"
"I hate the way you always say you could find somebody else."
"And you've got me on such a tight leash that I'm starting to strangle myself."
"You criticize, I know that I'll never be what you want me to be."
"When you used to be such a sight for sore eyes, but now looking at you is like a knife in me."
"Your heart is filled with daggers"
"Your kiss is like razor blades"
"You'd rather stroke that*champagne bottle"
"I'll toss you a hand grenade!"
I know you too well to like you anymore
I know you too well to like you anymore"
"You're mean and you're unfriendly"
"Well you're an attention seeker"
"And I know you too well and I don't like you
But I love you. Please stay.
No one makes me more miserable so please don't go away.
'Cause I need you always."
"I'll never be able to forgive you."
"I wish that I had never met you!"
"How did this all get so ugly, you became so strange."
"You're always coiled back, ready to attack. Your lips curled over your vampire fangs."
"They say be careful what you wish for, it just might come your way."
"Well, I dreamed about you baby, but now I'm dreaming of my escape."
"I knew you were a bad idea, but I had to have you anyway."
"Now of all my worst mistakes this one is here to stay!"
"You're a son of a gun, you know that?"
"I know you too well to like you anymore
I know you too well to like you anymore
There's a nightmare where my dream girl was"
"My prince charming is a bore"
"And I know you too well and I don't like you
I know you too well to like you anymore
I know you too well to like you anymore
I'm stuck with someone I can't stand"
"I can't stand you even more"
"And I know you too well and I don't like you"
"You're a jerk"
"You're an arse"
"You're a boar"
"You're a hick"
"You make me flipping sick"
"You've got all zits"
"Well, you're just a prick"
"I'm so sick of your crap"
"Well you're a hag"
"And you're a drag"
"You drive me flipping mad"
"Well I wish you'd go to hell
But I love you
Oh well..."

"Noted. Thank you."
After sipping on his liqueur a few more times, the man drinks the rest in one gulp. He thinks over his options for a little while before taking another sweep around the room. It didn't seem there wasn't much for him here at the moment. Walking over to Songdancer and the group, he will pay them a sizable amount of coin for their performances. It's what keeps entertainment going after all.
"You there, wearing the blue bucket-helmet," he declares, motioning at Luka.

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
Well! Naku's back!
Amidst a cacophony of noises that decided that right about now would be the perfect time to interrupt anything going on in the DFI, Naku made her grand re-entrance.
The most pervasive of the noises would be the gunfire. Lots of gunfire; though oddly muted. Following that, an inhuman shrieking noise, as well as Naku screaming some truly, truly unladylike things.
A few seconds after the noise becomes, well, noisy; the source finally comes into view!
It's definitely Naku--as her wildly flying purple hair will vouch for--but she's kneeling on a large, humanoid dog-like thing, and is busy pulling the trigger of the machine-gun she has shoved down its throat.
A second after that, they fell onto the floor with a loud crack. The teleport had put them about 5 feet up.
"**** you, you walking sack of sh-People." She says as she rips her rifle out of the beasts' mouth, stands up, and finally notices where she is.
The intervening time has not been kind to her; her clothes--she had managed to find a new set somewhere--were mostly burnt and clawed up. Whatever the color of her shirt had been, it found itself stained with enough blood that it eventually gave up and just turned red.
Shirts were silly that way.
Naku's trademarked, pristine, floor length hair was matted with blood, and had attracted enough dirt that it was nearly useable as a weapon in its own right. Her face had somehow avoided most of the dirt, though it, her chin, and her neck were coated with still-fresh blood. Only from about the nose and down, however. How very odd.Spoiler: Quotes

Re: [Nexus] Dancing Fox Inn VI: Wait, there used to be a Ribbajack here?
Shadow Fade, now free in his action, turns to Naku.
"Oh your back? Didn't thought you return so soon. Seems like you got a bad day while you are gone."
