Re: Currently Recruiting Players
I'm looking for a few good people.
With that out of the way, here's a link to our current OOC thread that has the lineup as it stands along with some information about the starting town and its environment. The IC thread is in my signature for those who would like to peruse.
Fortune's Favor takes place in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, where adventurers can find mystery, intrigue, magic, and, naturally, dungeons. The Big 16 is below, so shoot me a PM if you're interested in joining up.Last edited by Kelvin360; 2013-05-31 at 10:57 PM.
D&D is the only game I can think of (with the possible exception of Calvinball) where the only way to lose is by playing to win.

Pokemon Tabletop Adventures; Conflict for the Souls of Kanto: an Indigo League Campa
I'm currently hosting a play-by-post game, which will take place on this site. Right now, just post your OCs here:
http://forums.pokemontabletop.com/topic/9879901/1/#new
It's a group of four, maximum, and I'll be homeruling some things as we get into it. All classes except for Coordinator are available for this campaign (because there are no such thing as Contests here), and you'll be starting as a level 1 Trainer with one starter at a moderate level (average: player choices will dictate whether you start with one level 37 starter or two level 32 starters)
If you have any other questions, PM me on the PTA site.

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of complete darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success. —Ernest Shackleton.
Looking for 1 to 3 players to playtest a new system.
Setting: A Steampunk world with airships, trains, and high magic. Incredible monsters, intrigue, and fast paced adventure are to be expected.
Location: The Washington/Virginia/Maryland area; I'm mobile and will adjust the locations as needed.
When: Weekends. Exact time to be coordinated as needed.
What to Expect: You can expect to encounter a table top RPG like you have never played before. Badass warriors, Steampunk tech, high magic, combat that is streamlined and deadly, and an adventure like you have never played before in a grand world of exciting new vistas, Steampunk tech, and epic wizardry. Unfortunately, no wages, but the bitter cold and long months of complete darkness are optional =P
The system in question uses a mechanic similar to dicepool with the d10. The skill system is more robust than most systems and non-combat interaction is organic with no "roll 35 diplomacy" to win. The other major change: it is a truly classes system that allows player to pick their abilities as well as make new abilities.
Playtesting will be going on for the duration of the summer, so if a spot opens up in the group, it will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. PM me if you're interested and I will let you know when/where the playtest group is meeting.Last edited by TSGames; 2013-05-29 at 06:27 PM.

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
I am looking for a total of ten to twelve players for a Dawn of Worlds game.
I am using a few altered rules and already have the core map set up here. Feel free to look around.
I will invite anyone who asks, up to 12 players. Any invited player that does not create a deity within 24 hours of being added will be dropped to open slots for other players.
Players inactive for 5 or more turns without notifying the me will also be dropped and be considered a lost or dead god. If the player count drops below 10, I will ask for more players again as "new gods".
PM me here with your obsidian portal ID, or at obsidian portal to ask for an invite.Last edited by Wytwyld; 2013-05-17 at 08:43 AM.

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
I am currently running a game of 3.5 D&D in which the heroes consist of four monks and an Abjurer specialist, all part of a government organization designed to take down evil, destructive mages. It is a PBP game taking place on this site. The main thread is here. This game is partially for playtesting my new monk fix, which involves four different styles of monk, based loosely off of various real-life martial arts. This fix puts monks in low tier 3.
The best way to contact me is either to post on the thread, or PM me.

Isles of Nënt'le
[IC link will go here] OoC
Most of the rules are the same as D&D 3.5, but my homebrew setting has a couple of rules of its own.
My setting. Please tell me if the link is broken and I'll fix it right away.
Big 16 are in the OoC thread.
I'm looking for 5 or 6 players of any experience level, especially beginners. This is my first time DMing.
This will be a roleplay-heavy campaign. I expect at least a paragraph in each non-combat post.
I'll make a DM post every day, and I expect the players to be able to post every day in their own timezones. I understand if a player misses a day every now and again, but please try to warn me about extended absences.
PM me or make a post in the OoC if you're interested.Last edited by MeanMrsMustard; 2013-05-27 at 12:16 AM.

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
I'm still accepting players for The Color of Shadestone.
The short and sweet is that it's a roleplaying sanboxy Pathfinder game in my own homebrewed setting with a set of interesting house rules and other such oddities. Its vibe, at least where you start of, is more Wyrd West than Sword and Sorcery (there's even a steam train now!).

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
Currently running a 3.5 homebrew steampunk campaign situated in great flying cities, with relatively low (conventional) magic and lots of gadgets. The OOC thread can be found here, which has all the information on setting, homebrew and the big 16, and brief synopsis of the setting can be found in the spoiler below:
SpoilerSet amongst the great flying cities of Ornys, which winked into existence 217 years ago, and are powered by great mechanical devices known as Engines. The world has adapted quickly utilise the technology drawn from reverse-engineering these devices, creating smaller facsimiles of the great Engines that have been put to use powering smaller vessels known as airships. From the huge city of Caelestis, fastened to the ground below with gargantuan chains, to the nomadic city of Nün, and the machine-worshipping fanatics of Brae, technology swiftly replaced magic with the classical arcane disciplines being tossed aside in favour of the study of artifice and magical engineering. Now governed by the powerful Trade Organisations and the vast flying cities, Ornys is a world ripe for adventure.
I am recruiting for a player that is willing to fill a melee combat role, as the rest of the party are largely not suited to this. The current party include a Gunslinger (adapted from the PF base class), an Artificer, a Sorcerer and a Swashbuckler. The old melee position was filled by a Mechanist, and if anyone wants to take him over, his rather fantastic array of rolls are also up for grabs, although you will need to devise a character sheet and background of your own for him.
Please either post interest to the OOC thread, or PM me.Last edited by Waitingnomad; 2013-06-07 at 07:38 AM.

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
Have you ever played Call of Cthulhu? If you have, you may have heard or said one or more of the following:
- Oh, my character has a swordcane. He, ah, picked it up when studying in the Orient.
- Is it alright if my investigator has a shotgun? I mean, he goes hunting sometimes.
- I might have survived that, if I had just had some grenades. Maybe a pipe bomb...
- I go to the hardware store and buy a chainsaw. What? It's a legitimate strategy!
If you have said these things, The Call of Cybercthulhu may be the game for you!
Enter a futuristic city in a cyberpunk setting, where there are giant, totalitarian corporations and angry, anarchistic street gangs. Where bionic limbs are about as common as tonsil removals, and leaving home unarmed is considered unorthodox. Where strange things are now happening, and you just know you need to look into it.
Come and join the future of investigative horror! This is a Skype game, we currently are scheduled to meet Saturdays, 7pm-midnight, EST, but may be able to adjust based on player feedback.Last edited by Komodo; 2013-06-12 at 02:54 PM.

[ONLINE] Colonists & Councilors - IRC - Pathfinder [3.P] - [E8]
Game Notes:
https://github.com/BlackRobeRising/c...s-player-notes
Notes are a WIP.
Original Ad:
I'm thinking of running an E8 game where PCs are notable citizens of a minor city state which has found itself surrounded on land by more powerful powers (Think powerful city-states like Athens or Sparta surrounding some pathetic town whose name is lost to history, you'd be in the town :P).
The game would be early Iron Age (I won't be changing the stats on you, just trying to give you a feel of the culture...it would be more Ancient Greece or Roman Empire). The PCs would be merchants/adventurers/retired military/etc, capable of people with significant personal resources but no real option to move upward within the City (the city is controlled by people more powerful/wealthier than you) and with the destruction of the Masdan Empire across the sea (think the Mediterranean, a relatively short journey) a few decades ago, it is possible for you to move out from the idiot politicians' thumbs and establish your own claim in a very rich land (which, of course, is crawling with the monsters that destroyed the Masdan Empire and long since turned upon each other, fun times.)
It would be a mix of adventure (PCs clearing out monsters, slaughtering necromancers), competing with others with a similar idea (covertly, militarily, and/or economically), and trying to build a new major power in the region (strategic decisions, sorta like Kingmaker but more freeform and less 'MAGIC ITEM SHOPS EVERYWHERE!').
When:
Mon, Tues or Thurs 6pm PST/9pm EST (3 players confirmed, which of those days is TBD by other players joining) - Need to recruit ~2 more.
Hopefully, starting the week of the 17th but some chance of it being the week of the 24th depending on schedules/timing.
Game sessions will be 3-4 hours. There may be some side RP during periods of extended downtime if PCs have offscreen activities they wish to engage in during downtime.
Where:
Campaign/IC : irc.freenode.net / ##Colonists
Hangout/OOC: irc.freenode.net / #d&d-inn
Please contact via IRC after 7-8pm EST. Thanks.
Seeking:
1 Arcane Spellcaster
1 Divine Spellcaster
Group so far is leaning towards a Neutral-to-Good party. As such, Evil alignments are probably going to get a “No” from me. That said, it is possible to make a case for allowing an honorable LE character without me immediately saying No.
The party has 2 rogue-types, 2 frontline-types [one of which will have significant divine casting].
We probably have 4 players (2 certainly, 2 are pretty sure they’ll be joining) so the most I’ll accept at this point is 2 players total.
Goal is 5 players (1 more), will accept 6 tho to be sure we have a full group.
Basic Requirements for PCs:
1) Provide me with a link to your character sheet or a markdown document I can put up on gtihub.
2) Enjoy a game that will likely range from 90% RP in a session to 90% combat in a session, depending on moods/player decisions.
3) Be proactive rather than reactive as this is a sandbox game.
4) Be old enough to handle mature themes maturely as this game is going to be closer to Game of Thrones and Dark Fantasy than your average D&D game. This is mainly due to the time period (E.g. The civilization of that time period engaged in slavery which is an automatic trip to Evil alignment for that power center).Last edited by AlastorFrost; 2013-06-12 at 08:25 PM.

Re: Currently Recruiting Players
Just posted today!
A gestalt Age of Worms campaign. I have run the first third of the adventure path before and am looking to restart it with different players as a PbP.
I have modified them from the original modules so that players experienced with the modules will find it familiar but different enough to be challenging.

I'm currently recruiting for my Iron Coast campaign. Pirates, derring-do, terrible monsters, and evil plots! (That's just the players). The game is in a custom setting, starting at level 4. Solid hook and some direction for a few levels, and then a little more sandboxy. Come check it out!
