"Yes." Ilphy replies specifically to Wenomir. That'd be an accurate description.

Darcy swallows hard as she tries to take this in. "So... there's another you... who doesn't have someone to love her?"

"Well..." She hadn't much thought of it that way. "She has Mister Squiggles." That was one of the trade offs the two agreed to.

Wenomir is silent for a moment, unsure what to say. In the end, it's Ilpholin's decision... although he can't help but wonder what this means for the plan to direct AMEN.
"In that case... welcome back," he simply says.

"Thank you." She replies to Wenomir, somewhat relieved.

"Well, I went to Libra for a favor a while back and ended up going to Cessie's world since she couldn't provide it and meeting Dawnwolf, an aspect of the Oni Libra represents. Cessie's world is dying and the Oni is trying to keep it together. But to do that, it can't have foreigners showing up there. The Oni agreed to give me powers and make me its representative in the Nexus. I just have to keep an eye out for reality changing threats, make sure no one's opening massive portals to Cessie's realm, and not abuse my power." The closest she's found for the first one might be Enshadu? Ilpholin's not sure she'd bother the Oni about that though.

She doesn't really answer the spirit question, since she honestly has no idea what metaphysics are involved here.

"Hmmm. I think I'll take Shawna. It's been a while since she was in action. I'll also bring Yazon along. He proved himself when those gnolls attacked a while ago, and we'll need someone to watch our backs."

"Shawna? I have heard she's planning to quit. And are you sure you don't want to bring a more utilized team? You and Yazon have quite similar ways of fighting. Might be useful with someone who brings something unique to the team." The sorceress questions.

"No army, I'm afraid," Wenomir says. "We'll just have to try to get a drop on one of those groups and neutralize them quickly."

"Well then, tell me you have at least some means of cool transportation," Shinako says, "hovercrafts, fighter jets, teleportation circles - stuff like that."

She was extremely surprised. He puts the dagger away and shrugs. I hypothesize that it would cut clean through a demon's innate defenses, but would not hurt the demon as much as a blessed weapon. Furthermore, I lack the strength to kill a demon with a single hit.

"Well lemme know if you ever find one in my size," Adir says jokingly, flashing the mage another grin. "My pap's silver knife should be good enough for now, though."

"I would personally pick people with different expertise's, someone that can handle direct combat, someone who brings more utility such as healing or other type of support. I would suggest perhaps bringing someone of a more eldritch character. I understand that Yazon could use more field experience but I think we need to choose between that and overall effectiveness here." The sorceress argues.

"You make good points. I'll think about it. I'll try to have a team ready as soon as we're clear about the political implications."

"Very well, just ask if you need anything. I'm going to continue to work on some experiments in the keep." Cessie replies before walking off once she nodded politely to the demon hunter.

Spyridon nods and takes out his spellbook to refresh himself on the rituals to conjure up certain undead for combat. It's just something to do while they wait for one of the leaders of Watchtower to get back to them.

Kate and a child version of Libra are suddenly right in front of the gate of WATCHTOWER. "Ta-da! Watchtower!" She exclaims with a gesture at the tower. "Cool place huh? We got it in my world too!" The sound of someone knocking on the door will suddenly ring through the building. Libra didn't even touch the door however.

Kate wasn't expecting that! She was thinking of some magic forest, not one of the organizations. "I'm not going to have to explain this, right? Because if I try to explain this they'll think I'm crazy."

Kate has momentarily forgotten that this is the nexus, and that she honestly would be able to just apologize and walk home if she needed to.

"Because my personal life and my professional life were coming to a cataclysmic end. If we stayed at AMEN, Darcy almost certainly would have been killed for what she did. If we left, we'd have a rash of angry AMENites on us for the rest of our lives. I didn't want either of those things for us. For you." Ilpholin says, reaching for Darcy's hand.

Wenomir folds his hands across his chest. He thinks Ilpholin is overestimating both the AMENites' ability to harm them and their ability to focus on anything for more than five minutes. But he stays silent for now, as it's between Darcy and Ilpholin. He'll voice his own opinion later.
