WATCHTOWER 16: Quick and Dirty

Training Ground

The sight of someone at the jogging track isn't a particularly rare one. Someone jogging in full sniper gear, including a ghillie suit and a rifle, may be a different story. Boris has been jogging for about an hour now, and he isn't showing signs of slowing down.

[Murkus]

[Planning Room]

"What if... something happens? What if Darcy goes traitor, or gets kidnapped, or some crap like that?" Adir asks. Rather nonchalantly, he furrows his brow and says, "Is that on me?"

[Morty]

[Planning Room]

"Then it's another person on the list of those that need curing," Wenomir says. "And no, it won't be on you. Darcy is a Watchtower member just like you, and she can make her own choices."

[Murkus]

[Planning Room]

"Yeah, but... I dunno. I let her go," Adir says, frowning. "****. I really shouldn't worry about this stuff."

"Arright. So. Silver and dragon bones. Do we need more?"

[Morty]

[Planning Room]

"Once fighting starts, they die from the same things as everything else," Wenomir says. "But we ought to stock up on silver and find some dragon bone. We might try the plan with sending members to fish for corrupted demons in populated locations."

[Murkus]

[Planning Room]

"You want me to put a few squads together? Send em' on out with some silver?" Adir asks, crossing his arms.

[Morty]

[Planning Room]

"Perhaps not squads. We don't have that many members. But yes, we should send members into the field with silver. You can handle it if you want."

((I think this ought to be discussed OoC so as to save time.))

[Murkus]

[Planning Room]

"Well, I'll see who we can scrounge up. Anything else?" Adir asks, gaining his feet slowly.

[Morty]

[Planning Room]

"No, I think that's all," Wenomir says.

[Murkus]

[Planning Room]

"Then good day to you, Sir Wendy. Keep me in the loop with Darcy and Ilpholin, will you?" Adir asks of the warrior, giving a little wave before he walks toward the door.

((And by right away I mean now ))

[Outside the Wall]

High up against a backdrop of blue and white, a small mote of light sparks into existence. It expands and, upon doing so, is quickly shunted to the outside of the wall. From it, a figure appears, in a suit and hat the color of freshly fallen snow. He falls.

As he accelerates, he attempts to pull off his coat in midair, but seems to be facing some difficulties, probably due to his rapid, chaotic spinning. After a few seconds, he finally manages to do so, and two white feathered wings explode outwards, slowing his descent. However, it seems it came a moment too late. He glances off of the top of the wall, and falls down to the ground outside. An exasperated groan tells you that he is most definitely still alive.

Training Grounds
Anyone who's looking for Kirlia will find her in the Training Grounds!
Though I doubt anyone's looking for her.
Anyways, onto her training!
She sits cross-legged in the Training Grounds, concentrating hard as she tries to manipulate her ki and put it out in the air around her. It's one of her daily exercises, and a much needed one too.
The dust around her slowly rises off the ground due to the ki she's exuding, and it hovers in the air as she continues to concentrate.

[Planning Room ==> Outside the Wall]

After Adir leaves, Wenomir looks out the window pensievely. Just in time to see a person hit their wall and drop to the ground. He sighs and runs down the stairs swiftly, then outside the tower to check on the newcomer.

[Morcleon]

[Outside the Wall]

Said newcomer lies there, his white suit covered in dust and dirt, wings spread out beneath him. At your approach, he manages to struggle into a sitting position and, coughing, gives you a weak smile. "Ah, hello. I- *cough* I don't suppose you could- *cough* tell me where I am now?"

[Morty]

[Outside the Wall]

The man approaching the wounded ex-flier is a tall, muscular human wearing mail and a surcoat, with dark skin, eyes and hair as well as a pattern of deep scars all over his skin.

"Perhaps we should save the introduction until after I've found how many bones you've broken," he says and tries to get the stranger to his feet slowly.

[Morcleon]

[Outside the Wall]

"Twelve in my wings and another seventeen in my body," he replies with a rueful grin as he accepts your help and stands up. He appears to be human (save for the wings), with dark hair, pale blue eyes and a small trickle of blood running down the side of his mouth.

"It's not too bad. I heal rather quickly, so I should be fine in a few minutes." And indeed, you can see the subtle shift beneath his skin as his body rapidly begins to repair the crash damage.

"If you say so," Wenomir says with a shrug. These are his bones, so he'll take his word for it. "Did you crash into our fortress randomly or did you want to come here?"

[Mindfreak]

Training Grounds
Kirlia slowly stands, trying hard to hold her concentration.
She let's out another wave of aura, causing several rocks she ha placed down around herself to slowly start to rise.
She exhales, letting go of her concentration, sending the rocks back onto the ground as well as the dust.
Little Green, her Ralts, waddles over and lifts one of the rocks using telekinesis. Little Green then fired it high into the air!
Kirlia concentrated, focused...
And then shot off a small ray of red energy at the rock. As it hits it, the rock explodes! Little bits of it get vaporized, leaving nothing of the rock behind.

[Outside the Wall]

Chuckling lightly, Yuki shrugs. "If tripping and falling into an interdimensional portal counts as 'want', then yes, I did want to come here. Otherwise, no, it was an accident." He perks up at the explosion. "...nice ambience, though. Do things tend to explode routinely, or should I be worried?"

He extends his hand to the armored man in greeting. "Name's Sonozaki Yuki. I'm a doctor, of sorts, and a xenoalchemist."

[Morty]

[Outside the Wall]

"I'm Wenomir Rawicz, and this is Watchtower," the man says. "The purpose of this place is to protect the world from threats. The world being the Nexus. It appears to have dragged you in as it had so many others."

[Morcleon]

[Outside the Wall]

"Ah, so random appearances like mine aren't rare?" he mutters, staring up at the imposing building. "...could I stay here for a while? Perhaps do some work for you here and there? I mean, I don't really have anywhere else to go."

[Morty]

[Outside the Wall]

"They certainly aren't," Wenomir says. "As for staying here... well, we're not a hotel, so you would need to sign up and pull your weight to do that. Are you willing to join a para-military organization of apocalypse stoppers?"

[Morcleon]

[Outside the Wall]

Yuki looks pensive for a second, then grins. "Why not? With your line of work, you could probably use someone like me. I take it you have a sign-up form of some sort?"

[Morty]

[Outside the Wall ==> Training Tower]

"A sign-up, then a test. I might as well put you through it. Follow me." Wenomir will lead Yuki inside the training tower, where he produces a form from a convenient pile.

Following Wenomir to the Training Tower, Yuki takes the form and begins filling it out. A minute or two later of scribbling shapes and lines onto a chemicalized slice of dead tree, he hands the completed application to Wenomir

Other Information: My scalpel can, given the proper preparations and sacrifice, cut through anything. Even things that don't really exist. Also, if someone wants a graft for a cool power they want, get me a body of something that can has it, and I'll see what I can do.

"So then. This test. What, and when, exactly shall it be?"

Wenomir rubs his chin.
"We may have to test you in the field, as it were. Tell me, could you harvest some parts from creatures that evaporate after they die?"

[Morcleon]

[Training Tower]

Yuki thinks for a second before answering. "If the body's not there, then no, not after they die. However, if I could get a live but helpless specimen, I probably can. What kind of creatures are they?"

[Morty]

[Training Tower]

"They're demons. They're creeping into the Nexus and planning on corrupting the population. The next time we encounter them, we can capture one of them for you to experiment on. Can you fight?" Wenomir asks.

[Morcleon]

[Training Tower]

"Oh fun, demons," mutters Yuki. He really didn't like fighting demons. Too much variety, and each subtype of demon was so different from the others. Turning back to Wenomir, he nods, "I can fight. It's not my specialty, but have a few combat grafts I can pick and choose from."

[Morty]

[Training Tower]

"Alright then. See, I can't really test you in your area of expertise. I'm a warrior. But if you're up for it, I can take you into the field and we can see how well you manage to harvest the demons," Wenomir says.
