Out of curiosity, how contagious is a Smooze pony once separated from the main body? Like, would a pony dissolve from just touching her goopy hoofprints, or would she have to give the unfortunate soul a hug without her suit on?

The Smooze turns into inert mildly irradiated mud if there isn't enough ambient radiation. Hoofprints would become harmless after a few seconds. Before that they would probably just give a nasty burn.

A hug without her suit on would be the only way Island would be lethal. But even then she would be basically halving her radiation with the pony that's getting dissolved. Which would probably end up killing both of them. So it is in her best interest to keep that suit on.

Mind the ghouls though. Feral ghouls can be nasty.

Ahhhh, I see now. I had a critical misunderstanding of how the Smooze worked. I thought it was just a case of poisonous, acidic sludge that automatically melted any living pony it came in contact with, but it's more like...growing itself, if you catch my drift. It feeds off of radiation to sustain itself, and then can use some of that radiation to corrupt ponies (something that an individual Smooze Pony can't safely do apart from the main body) and absorb them into the Smooze. Where it then proceeds to mentally and physically torment them until their only thought is to obey the will of the Smooze, and corrupt anything in their path wait a minute this is sounding awfully familiar...

Perhaps the Goddess and the Smooze have far more in common than we realized.

Sadly, I'm limiting myself to one character at a time, disregarding one-offs and NPCs. She is rather close to Girdershade, in case you wanted to saddle poor Fleetwing with another over-irradiated abomination of life oddball pony for the road.

That, or Maripony, but I somehow don't think that would be the best choice of destination.

EDIT: On that note, who are we waiting on in Girdershade again? Unless interacted with, Fleetwing is going to probably just stew for a while, then finally get to business and pick out a destination for him and Violetta (and the two other party members he hasn't yet realized he's gained ).

At the moment Island is trying to get her bearings for the most part and would be open to most any form of not-blowing-her-up pony interaction. But you never know when somepony in the Wasteland might decide to blow you up.

Swift/Xithr is probably just hanging around the shed area, maybe even practicing some simple potion-making to keep her skills sharp.

Gleamy would just be sitting around, sometimes she wound "doze off" into traces of the Dream of Unity, but she would mostly just look distracted or like a statue or something, orthe than that, thinking, trying to remember, looking into the distance, etc.

Fleetwing will spend the first bit of the day stewing in the shed, but once he calms down he'll start to plan their next destination. Right now, he's leaning Manehatten. Additionally, he'll look over those blueprints to try and figure out how difficult it would be to find the needed parts, and how tricky they look to assemble.
