Willow starts to melt a little when he gets close, but when he abruptly takes his leave, she's stunned and more than a little hurt.

She goes to find her phone and send him a text. "You're being an *******, Arthur. **** you."

D'aww, how sweet! Love's young dream!

Once she's done with that, she gets dressed in some of Arthur's clothes, tosses her Black Maul gear into a bag, and heads out. Since he didn't give her a key, she can't properly lock the door behind her, but she at least flips the little thingie on the doorknob.

And off she goes. First to MagMart to get some clothes that don't scream 'I spent the night at my boyfriend's' and then home to see her family. She's definitely NOT going to the workshop. Not if Arthur's going to be there.

Well, I'm not entirely certain what you're going to think when I tell you but.. A known is usually better than an unknown as then it can at least have steps made to fix it... Though would it be better if..? Maybe I should just get it over with and.. Well, I should probably blunt a few things just in case, anyway but there really isn't much explaining the gist, is there? Oh well.. At least it's in a nice, warm, comfortable environment. Gnawing on her lip as she debated back and forth just how to frame things, Riss finally took a deep breath and began.

"Well.. This is going to take a moment so I can tell you about a few things which will make this make more sense... With what we do to augment our brains, we are able to take what we learn and experience and transfer them between each other. It isn't done lightly, though, as without proper precautions, it also attaches the personality of the person along with the memories traded. Does that make sense so far?" the muse began, waiting to see if she hadn't quite lost her fey just yet. "What this means is that I could pick up someone's memories of being able to.. Play the violin or something and be able to do so with their level of proficiency. This can be done with almost anything within reason although knowledge of how to do something doesn't necessarily grant the same level of training that the original owner of the memory had... I'm dancing around the issue though..

"Not just skills, but experiences can be traded in this way. Like how a certain wine tastes or how it feels to be a certain athlete in some sport... Among other things. Now, um.. Again, these are kept 'clean' by providing more of a sensory 'ride' to the experiences but one can choose to have a more raw connection by stripping away the usual barriers set in place. These barriers are usually in place to prevent the experience from being melded into the 'rider's' consciousness and potentially creating a micro-personality from it. At the very least it can be quite destabilizing and.. And I'm going off track again.

"Anyway, there is a particular industry that basically creates clones for the singular purpose of a particular kind of.. Um.. 'Thrill ride' that, uh.. Is... There is this intensity that.. Um.. Well.. The main draw is that at the end, these clones all.." the muse halted again and rubbed at her temples. Try from a different angle, maybe? "...To many a mind, there is this kind of terrifying allure to the concept of oblivion. Because it is simply so obscure of an experience, it is a wellspring of curiosity and.. Well, it isn't exactly a healthy thing for a mind to constantly dwell on and expose itself to... Especially when... Well.. I think it might be part of the reason for some of my actions that might have brought me here, given the influences but.. Still, my decision was my own and.. And I guess it explains my propensity for the horror genre.." It would be obvious that she was attempting to make light of what she was having some trouble saying outright with her last comment although it was likely not going to be all that successful; something that was apparent to the muse given that she had slowly curled up, hugging her knees to her chest as she flailed about with her explanation.

"Still, um, repeated shocks of that sort to a psyche have the potential to cause lasting stress long after the initial event.. So.. I.. I, ah..."

"I didn't mention his place out loud," Magtok notes. So her narrative-sensing extends to thoughts of other characters. That means he must be pretty relevant, right? If the narrative is bothering to keep track of his thoughts, even trivial things like that, he has to be pretty important.

"But sure, sounds like a plan. You still know the way, or should we stop for directions somewhere?"

Well that's refreshing, someone with skill. Aric leaps to the left, simultaneously thrusting his spear towards the Tielfing's stomach.

She sucks in slightly and it misses.

Aric rolls and gets to his feet, and now there's flame...He raises the shield above his head and torso and lets the flame hit his shield. Due to the nature of Murynstil, the ore from which his weapons are forged, and the many runes upon it, Kallista should her flames coming back at her!

Love might notice Evan narrow his eyes for a fraction of a second, turning his attention to the door for a brief moment. He immediately turns back to Love and smiles.

Misha understands well the conversational hoops Riss is jumping through to avoid actually saying what happened, but this time they've successfully kept her from figuring out the context of what the muse is saying. Probably not what Riss intended, but Misha isn't as cerebral as she'd eventually like to be so it's a long while before she admits to herself she has no idea what Riss is hinting about and tries to find the words to say so.

"What were the clones built for?" It's hard asking when she knows Riss doesn't want to say it explicitly, but she doesn't know of any way to find out except by being blunt.

"It's relaxing. Most of the time. Occasionally something goes odd, yes, but for the most part it's just relaxing."

Kate often goes on off-screen walks in the park during which nothing notable happens at all, thus making them off-screen occurrences and giving Kate a sense of safety for when she goes to the park on-screen.

Aww, he missed...and now shots are being fired. Aric may be skilled, but he's not superhuman and lacks the ability to dodge bullets. but he's still gonna try! He dodges to the side and the bullet grazed his left thigh. He will awkwardly roll into a crouched position, ducking behind his shield.

"I want to ruin him. To make his most loyal followers see him as the slimy, irrelevant **** that he is. To photograph him peeling off his skin-suit to reveal the goblins standing on each others' shoulders hidden within, to get a video of him happily making out with a dwarf, or find detailed plans for selling out followers of Charlie to save his own selfish hide."

The cyborg shrugs.

"I'm willing to settle for breaking into his house, though."

Man, that'd be twice in one day. Not too surprising that MagClones would have the same plans as one another, though, is it?
