You can feel quite a bit of magic coming from inside the house, and underneath it. You can sense it enough that you can tell it's anti scrying enchantments. Seems he's come prepared.

Elden opens the door to prevent yet another inflammatory discussion.

"I wouldn't know, but I'm sure I wouldn't try experimenting on finding a carrot top brother for Ilya."

Elden, as you and (presumably) the party open the door, you find what looks like a relatively normal house. It's got tables, chairs, places to relax, all that stuff that you'd find in a regular farmer's house. However, you're all so very perceptive, you notice that underneath the dining room table is a covered up hatch, about as big as a person.

Adalhard runs Almacia into his hand repeatedly as the blade reappears over the hatch, going through it several times.

Adalhard's sword cuts at the hatch, making the sound of sword clashing againest wood. Nothing happens.

Before we go down, perhaps we should look around aboveground first? Bast, perhaps you should make a round?

Adalhard runs the sword into his hand at an angle to force the hatch open from a distance.

[LaZodiac]

Adalhard does so, and the hatch creek's only a crack, before closing again once the sword is removed. Nothing happens.

Adalhard pokes holes around the hinges by running Almacia through his hand.

Yes, that's what you'd do.

Adalhard pokes holes around the hinges by running Almacia through his hand.

At this point you're gonna need to do an attack againest the door to try and actually break it.

Adalhard then ranged attacks the Wooden Hatch until it is destroyed.

Ok. After beating on the door for awhile, he succeds in breaking it, as much as one can break a relatively thick hatch. What once was a door is now chunks of broken wood. Beneath the hatch is a spiral staircase, leading downwards.

Adalhard starts producing a sphere of ice until it reaches a radius of around 2 feet and rolls it downwards.

He'll repeat the procedure twice more.

Nothing happens after doing all of that.

Adalhard produces an ice chair with the back to a wall and sits on it.

Teodor sighs, and says "I think Adalhard has proven that there's no traps. We should get going after Bast checks this floor"

"They must have another exit, we could look for it instead of wading through the initial guard posts.

But of course, that would probably take more time anyway. So yes, we just need to wait for the searching to march downwards."

I'm retconning it that hse'd already left by then, becuase it's sorta silly to think she stood around for ten minutes after agreeing.

After Adalhard has finished with he hatch, Bast returns.

You didn't find anything out of the ordinary. However, you do smell some scents that remind you of people, so you know people were here, though it's muddled.

"Any possibility other than going down the hole?

A looking glass somewhere?"

Someone's been here lately.

"Seeing as this is the entrance to their underground base, it isn't surprising that someone has been here recently.

Unless that "someone" wasn't supposed to be here or wouldn't make sense to be here."

He stands up.

"To the wonderland it is. If only I had a hat."

Adalhard produces another ball of ice, rolls it downward and follows into the depths.

Assuming everyone goes with, you wind your way down the spiral staircase, untill you get to the bottom. At the bottom is a door! What shall you do?

You can definitly tell that on the other side of this door is the start of the anti scrying magic.

Adalhard tries to watch from underneath door any feet or semblance of the room.

It's faint, but you can see shoed feet. You also see strange claw feet, which you don't really recognize. You can also make out some traces of red mats, and what seem to be bronze squares.

They're not really moving around much, though you'd need to make an insight check (at a pretty massive difficult since you can't see anything but their feet) to find out what that means.
