I've got a pretty high tolerance/taste for bad movies, and I enjoyed it. Probably about on par with the second D&D film (which was far from great, but better than I was expecting after the first).

The strength and weakness of the film are the same thing: following an evil adventuring party. It's good, because it's not something you see often in fantasy films. It's bad, because the relentless "we are EVIL" character behavior is tiresome. Yeah, we get it, you are bad. A couple characters are developed slightly beyond bad for the sake of bad, but not by much.

Again, I did enjoy it. It's fun...but I'd hesitate to call it a good movie. If you don't like crappy films, you probably won't like this. If you had fun with the second, you'll have fun with this. And, as you say, dragons!

How do you make a Book of Vile Darkness film and not have it be a hard R? That thing was a pretty tame PG-13. I was unimpressed. Worst than Wrath of the Dragon God, better than the first (which isn't saying much).

It was Lord of the Flies Prc not Vermin Lord Prc, Vermin Lord can't go swarm form, only Lord of Flies can.

    I thought it was decent

was their a book of vile darkness for fourth edition? their comment about heroic and paragon tiers made me think 4th edition.

i liked it better then the other 2 and while i would not have seen it in a theater i did enjoy it and felt it was by the standard of a scifi original a high quality movie.

Synopsis mentions a the villain is a Mind Flayer... The effects any good on that? I'd quite like so see a live action Illithid.

I think they lied. I don't remember seeing one. Unless it was polymorphed into a humanoid.
