The musk of the Plague Marine marks his advance, overwhelming senses in liberating entropy, A sensation so absolute that flesh cannot help but betray its master to the ultimate destiny of all life. In so doing, Nephthys directs his plasma cannon around the next corner, marking the hulking Inquisitor for certain destruction.
A brilliant burst of blue fire trails from the plasma cannon into the Inquisitor.

Its carnage! A shimmering protective field goes up as the plasma shot races in before flickering in as the plasma overpower it. Even as psycannon shells tear massive chunks out the wall - one slamming into chest with bone shattering force, the ball of plasma engulfs the Inquisitor. The Inquisitor emerges unshathed but the same cannot be said for one of his colleagues or the 3 crewmen crouched at his feet who are engulfed in raw plasma and reduced to nothing but ash.

The psych assault that had assiled his mind is reduced to nothing as the warp cascades around the psyker and with a faint tearing sound a shimmering 8ft tall red monstrosity appears about 13m away from the psyker on the far side of the bridge and command throne. The blood letter immediatly rushes forward, hellblade carving through 2 of the crew with wild abandon. As the plasma consumes the psyker the blood letter looks almost dspondant before it hacks away merrily at the horde

It would seem that Qaeviir's bio-lightning had not wrecked with the officer's nervous system as the Magister had intended, instead the officer was trying to fell the khornate. Due to that he assumed the woman would retaliate upon the officer any moment now, as he figured followers of the Lord of Skulls did not see too kindly at being attacked.

With the plague marine having moved up, the Magister could too. He ran a little bit up behind the plague marine, and leaned against the wall — while of course avoiding getting his robes dirty from any unclean surfaces on the wall — as to use the hulking Astartes as cover from the officer's potential return fire. Being a human among power armoured hulking Astartes was a good thing if it was cover you were looking for. He figured the plague marine would use that large plasma cannon on the bridge crew around the corner any second now, and covered his ears a little in anticipation of the rather loud sound produced from this close distance.

As Qaeviir reached the wall behind the nurgleim he instantly regretted his decision to advance to this position. The plaue marine's tail or whatever it was had a most unpleasant odor about it from this distance, and the Magister had still gotten somewhat used to it from their time on the same vessel. But this close was not something he liked. But just as he regretted his decision he could spot the beginnings of a blast of psychic hellfire originating from the plague marine just infront of him, and just like that he was in the T-junction they had gone through before.

It had been some time before his displacer field had been activated and the Magister always thought it was a little peculiar how the surroundings could change so seamlessly as the field teleported to avoid something. He thought it was most annoying if it happened mid-sentence or during important study though.

"Hmm." the Magister Immaterial remarked after his brief warp-transit. Now he had to run all the way back to take that psyker out. Or perhaps... Qaeviir had an idea. A somewhat risky idea, but still an interesting idea. He traced his hand along the robe up to the jewellery hanging on his chest and pressed at just the right spot on one of them. At that moment he flickered out of existence where he stood and into existance at another position. What he could see was more or less the same view of the statue in the T-junction, but he had moved almost 10 metres back into the corridor. It seemed he had arrived where he hadn't hoped and his gamble had not paid off as he now had to run back even further. He didn't bother trying again and instead started running back to the bulkhead, arriving to the massive open door a little while later, the short corridor after the bulkhead looking a little scorched from what he assumed was the psychic power used there before.

Amongst the vast columns for fire and smoke and flames its total carnage. The flames from the chaos terminator washed over everything bathing things in a strange promethium glow. Even as that was happening the corridor around the chaos troops turned brilliant white as the fires of terra ripped down the corridor burning through terminator armour and reducing a dozen of the reapers to nothing more than charred shapes of ash on the floor. A cascade of gurnfire sounds as yet another terminator wreathed in smoke stomps out - the combi bolter churning out rounds in a rapid format.

The aftermath on the Imperium side was as devastating as the psyker and all of his allies slammed into the ceiling, the bridge raining burning bodies, dead bodies and both demon and inquisitor.... The inquisitor crashed to earth still burning but not badly affected by bouncing off the ceiling. THe Captain's field flared brightly as many of the men and the blood letter and the psyker had to shield their eyes from the bright pulse of light. The Magister kept up his stride as he went through the bulkhead and rounded the corner, at which point he saw all the smoke and vapor that was most likely a result of the psychic blast of fire he had avoided just moments before. The fine Q'Salian heavy robes Qaeviir wore fluttered a little as he lowered his posture when he went past the three power armoured beings standing at the corner. He quickly assertained that the right cogitator bank was a good position to take cover, avoiding the gauts of flames sure to come and still be within range to use his bio-lightning.

As the Magister Immaterial reached the end of the cogitator bank he surveyed the bridge. The smoke from the fire suppression system made it a little hard to see, but he could make out whom he assumed was the Inquisitor in terminator armour, as well as the captain of the vessel. Neither of the psykers he had detected before seemed to be standing, most likely taken out by the Astartes. The khornate was taking cover on the left side of the bridge, either hiding or preparing a charge through the bridge crew. That's when he saw it through the smoke. Oh. Interesting. A bloodletter tearing through the bridge crew on the far side of the bridge. Most likely summoned by one of the psykers reaching too greedily from the great ocean without the control possessed by one talented as himself.

He thought for a moment of destroying one of the Lord of Blood's lesser daemons just because he could. But it was more tactically sound to let it do it's bloody work among the imperials. It was a good distraction. He was surprised the Inquisitor was not engaging it personally. He had heard rumours that some of them hated daemons above all else. Not this one, then. he mused. Leaving that train of thought, he started to mentally calculate a good course of action, weighing pros and cons of different things. But he knew the highest priority right now was to deal with that Inquisitor. The question was how.

    Spoiler

Full run through the corridor, around the guys hanging out at the corner and then taking full cover behind the cogitator banks right of the corner, far enough in to avoid vul's flamer (he should probably be able to notice where the gaut of flames have been going by burn marks on floor/cogitator banks). No one will probably pay attention to him through the smoke and chaos due to unremarkability. Perhaps the Inq if he's got warp sense and can make the psyniscience test to see through IoN.

Not wishing to catch allies in the area of the plasma cannon's blast, Nephthys mentally swears to himself that he can no longer use it to destroy the High Lord of Terra. Regardless he is unable to use it at all at this moment as it recharges its energies and the red rune forbids its usage. For the moment he moves back behind the wall, waiting for the red rune to turn green, his tail leaving a ringing sound as it pounds against the wall. He also mentally grins hearing the useless psyker no longer using him as cover. He likes to think the neat-freak Tzeentchian was too offended by his tail's glorious musk.

Vul, observing the human girl charge, smiles to himself. Very brave, little mortal, and very foolish. Khorne surly smiles on you. Then he sees the captain attack Alicia from behind, while the Inquisitor attacks from the front. He hears the Inquisitor's shout.

"Going somewhere Inquisitor? I think not. You will die here, as your Corpse Emperor died so long ago."

Calmly, Vul strides towards the combat, pausing as he does so to unleash another burst upon the puny horde of mortals remaining. Even as the flames burn them, Vul looks at the Bloodletter and nods slightly, in respect.

"Death to the False Emperor. Blood for the Blood God." he smiles as he watches mortals burn.

Both blades- one crackling with power, another crackling with force are mere millimetres away from Alicia's flanks when she spins ducking under both in a move that surprises both Captain and Inquisitor!

The elegant move is spoiled slightly by the great cloud of mist and steam that rises off the bodies of the dead - nearly all the reavers lying dead - many from the Imperial Psyker but also many from the plasma and flames of the traitor astartes. The feeling of being the last few survivors fighting in a charnel yard an appropriate one for the blood soaked and now near deserted bridge.

The Plague Marine moves out of cover to let the atrophied remnants of his autosenses pick out his targets through the smoke. Unfortunately between the distinct ringing buzz of a weapon's powerfield on metal and the fact that at least three individuals are picked up in a cluster when Nephthys recalls there being only two left, it is more or less confirmed that an ally is engaging them in melee. With this in mind, he mentally shrugs, resigned to believe that, at least for the moment, he is rather useless. Instead he makes a run to grab the Melta Blaster he's had his eye on for some time.

During the few moments behind his cover the Magister had come up with a few possible courses of action that might prove useful, all while hearing the gauts of flames spewing out in the background from what he assumed was Vul's heavy flamer. What he had thought of had potential drawbacks though depending on the situation at hand. He raised himself up from behind his cover to survey the area to assess the situation and decide on the best course of action from the alternatives he had conjured up.

The Magister saw that the khornate was tied up in fierce melee with both the Inquisitor and what he had assumed was the captain of the vessel. That was good for Qaeviir as that meant he would not have any stray bolts coming his way, but it made some courses of action less favourable. That the khornate did not seem to manage to land any blows during her current vicious flurry was another matter. At the top of his mental priority list he had placed a barrage of bio-lightning at the Inquisitor and to attempt to create an area of technological disturbance in the area to disable the heavy terminator armour, rendering the Inquisitor an easy target. However, the khornate depended on technology in her power weapons too. That made it problematic for that particular application. The Black Legion sorcerer's advancement seemed to indicate his intent of joining in the melee fray as well, cementing the fact that it would be an unwise decision at this moment.

Another option was to use one of the Changer's powers of afflicted hallucination, potentially lessening the danger to the khornate if it could take one of her adversaries out of sanity for a moment. So very tempting. he thought as he smirked behind his mask. The Inquisitor he figured would have an easier time attempting to resist it, not to mention the potential presence of a psychic hood in that terminator armour — the smoke not making it entirely clear at a quick glance if that was the case. That made the captain a better target for now. Qaeviir raised his arm towards the fierce brawl and extended his index finger from which a multihued bolt of light leapt and struck the captain. It would be only moments for the effects to surface if he's unable to resist.

Nothing happened. The Magister Immaterial's bolt of light struck the captain, but it did not seem to have any effect. Qaeviir was quite surprised an ordinary human such as that could resist one of the powers of the Lord of Sorcery. He became slightly annoyed over the impertinence of the imperial man, who obviously would be nothing if it was not for that conversion field of his. It was more or less the reason the khornate, ignoring her obvious inability to survive, was most probably now dead on the ground and the captain was still standing. Maybe that bloodletter who joined the fray just now could do any better. Perhaps. Possibly as incompetent as that woman.

The expression of his mask changed. It adapted a more frightful visage, more in tune to Qaeviir's feelings towards the captain. With his arm still extended he opened his hand up, the fingers reaching out towards the cluster of melee combatants, at which point a surge of lightning arced from his fingers straight for his enemies striking both the captain and the Inquisitor. Even though the Black Legion sorcerer was in the affected area, he did pay much heed to that this particular moment after the denial of the Changer's grand power of induced delusion. They relied on technology. Exploiting that reliance was his intention.
