Q672
Empathic Transfer, Hostile (psionic)
If you spend 6 additional power points, this power affects all creatures in a 20-foot-radius spread centered on you.
Q673
If i do 5-foot step, can i do a movement action? And can i make 5-foot step and run?Last edited by Kred; 2013-02-01 at 03:20 PM.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A672
No attack roll is required when using that option.
A673
No. If you take a 5 foot step, that must be your only movement for that round. You can take move-equivalent actions, such as drawing a weapon, but any and all actions that involve moving from one square to another are off limits.Like 4X (aka Civilization-like) gaming? Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
About Q673: note that you can use the Withdraw action (PhB p.143), which allows you to move up to double your speed and doesn't allow AoOs triggered from leaving the first square (unless your foe is invisible or something). This probably accomplishes what you want.
Also, about my earlier Barghest question (Q662) I think that I actually figured it out: I originally thought that the Barghest had 2 forms, a goblin form and a wolf form, but I'm pretty sure it actually has three forms, the third being its natural form (a goblin/wolf hybrid). It's in its natural form that it gets the claw attacks.
The whole "Barghests can use their natural weapons in any form" thing is still kinda confusing, but I'm pretty sure I've found how they intended the monster to work.

A 674a No.
A 674b Yes.
AC Bonus is untyped, and Inertial Armor gives an armor bonus. Bonuses of different types, from different named sources, stack unless there's a specific exception.

A677: 1d6 The reference to "catching on fire" specifically seems fairly clear.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
The latter.
Regarding factotums: Just to make sure I have this right, if a factotum gets 12 spells and his maximum spell level is 6 (this might be more than is possible pre-epic, or at all, I'm just pulling numbers out of a hat), then he's free to prepare 11 spells of 5th level, right?

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
But, when im using Graft Weapon + Claws of the Beast =
For a psychic warrior under the effect of the claws of the beast power, grafting a weapon means that attacks with this hand deal the base damage of the weapon, instead of the claw upon which a psychic warrior normally relies.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A679: Yes. You always multiply static bonuses, and never multiply extra dice (from sneak attack, for example).
A critical hit means that you roll your damage more than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls together. Unless otherwise specified, the threat range for a critical hit on an attack roll is 20, and the multiplier is ×2.
Exception: Extra damage dice over and above a weapon’s normal damage is not multiplied when you score a critical hit.Last edited by Larkas; 2013-02-02 at 10:50 AM.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
Q609
At 13th level, you can cast any touch spell you know as part of a full attack action, and the spell affects each target you hit in melee combat that round. Doing so discharges the spell at the end of the round, in the case of a touch spell that would otherwise last longer than 1 round.
So, let's say i am a lvl 13 Duskblade.
How does this work RAW?
1: The spell i channeled into my melee attack hits every different target i hit during my full attack. Example: I fight multiple enemies and designate my 3 attacks on my full attack action that round to hit 3 different enemies. If all my attacks hit, the spell affects each of them once.
Or
2: The spell effect stacks on itself every time i hit my target. Ie, at lvl 13 i have 3 attacks per round. I do an arcane channeled full attack on 1 enemy, the spell effect takes place 3 times on my enemy if all my attacks hit.
Or:
3: Both of the above is possible to accomplish with Arcane Channeling (Full attack).Last edited by Norin; 2013-02-02 at 03:44 PM.

Assume a bowman shooting a single opponent in base-to-base combat.
No reach weapons..
1. does he provoke aoo without an ally? (1vs1)
2. does he provoke aoo with an ally? (2vs1)
3. can he take 5ft step backwards (without aoo) then shoots normally?Last edited by _felagund; 2013-02-02 at 04:20 PM.

Cold Iron weapons cost an extra 2,000 gp to enchant on top of its doubled base cost. Is the 2,000 gp extra cost added only once, or do I pay each time I enchant my weapon further?I will NOT succumb to evil!...Unless she's cute._____________

Q 612
What special materials are considered metal for the purpose of the metalline special ability (Underdark p. 69)? How about Aurorum, Flametouched Iron, Pandemonic Silver or Rierdan Crysteel?
Q 613
Does the metalline special ability work if put on a +1 dragonfang weapon? How about other non-metal weapons?Last edited by Andezzar; 2013-02-02 at 07:00 PM.

Q614: Does natural armor gained from templates stack with natural armor from the base creature? Or is it just the best bonus is applied? For instance, I have a Kobold Half-Dragon. Kobolds get +1 nat armor. Half-Dragons get +4 nat armor. Does my character have +4 or +5?

1) is correct. The word "each" is not typically used in a context where, when applying anything to elements of a set, an application can happen more than once to an element. If so, it's spelled out.
Q616
Besides Impetuous Endurance, is there any way to pass a Will save on a natural 1, provided you have a sufficient modifier, and isn't use-limited? Neither Dumb Luck nor Impetuous Endurance quite work for something I'm building.
