"Alright Green, you're doing good! Hit him again! Tie that big sucker down!"

Green does so, loosing more string at the large hippo before using his string to cross the entire arena.

As your String Shot hits for a third time the Hippopotas is getting more annoyed at its treatment as Rick calls out "Keep going Hippopotas! Get closer to him and then we can take him!" As he says this Hippopotas again begins to move closer to you.

"Alright girl, keep it up! He can't catch you! The bigger they are and all that!"

Green obliges, sending yet another coat of string at the Hippopotas, likely tying it up even more. Green then thwips across the arena for good measure, ending up on the other side. Sure, she probably could take a hit; doesn't mean she wants to.

"Let's try something else Hippopotas! Move away from it! Then bury yourself!" Rick calls out. The Hippopotas then steps back, and digs itself into the ground burying itself under the sand of the arena.

Tucker just shrugs.

"What, is your big scary Hippopotas scared of a little tiny Caterpie?" he taunts.

"Green, make it hard for him. Get a coat of goo on the ground."

Green complies, coating the ground next to her in goo.

You can see the mound that is the Hippopotas under the sand moves backwards away from Green before surfacing but also creating a little crater around itself with walls that make it so the lowest Green can see of it is its eyes.

Tucker just shakes his head.

"You have at least a hundred pounds on my Pokemon and you just sit away from me? What, scared of some silly string?"

Green continues to do nothing, coating more ground with webbing.

Rick takes a second to think as Green sprays down another layer of String Shot before calling out "Hippopotas, carefully move forward!" as he says this the big Hippo moves through his defenses carefully, watching Green as he does.

[Arcran]

"Green, open fire! String Shot!"

A blast of webbing is issued forth, arcing through the air for that last little bit of distance.

As your String Shot hits Hippopotas Rick calls out "Now Hippopotas use Rock Tomb on it!" As he says this the Hippopotas launches a group of rocks at Green.

"GREEN!" Tucker shouts as the rocks fall onto his precious bug, almost ending her. He turns away, tears in his eyes.

"CATER!" he hears. He turns back to see his little Pokemon crawling out of the rubble. A broad grin crosses his face.

"Good girl! Let's finish this! Just like we had planned!"

But Tucker doesn't even have to give the order. Another burst of string is already hitting the beast.

"Hippopotas move closer!" Rick calls out. As he does the Hippopotas moves a little closer to Green.

[Arcran]

"GREEN! END THIS!" Tucker shouts, maybe a little overly dramatic. Green spews forth perhaps her strongest stream of silk yet, completely covering the Hippopotas. It finds itself completely unable to move, trapped.

"Green, step away from the Hippopotas," Tucker say. Green thwips to the other edge of the arena.

"It would appear you Hippopotas is unable to battle. Sure, it's not a true faint, but it's close enough," Tucker says with a grin. He strides over to the edge of the arena, patting Green on the head.

"Do you forfeit?"

I rolled the final String Shot here.

String Shot creates a Column 2-meters wide. All Legal Targets within the Column lower their Speed 1 Combat Stage. If a target is hit by String Shot 5 times within 5 rounds of combat, they are Trapped. If a target’s Speed Combat Stage has already been lowered 6 times, String Shot Traps them.

Trap
A Move with the Trap keyword prevents the target from fleeing. A Trapped target may not flee, and may not be recalled. A Trapped target may not move from the spot they were Trapped in. If the user of the Move with the Trap keyword faints, flees, or is recalled the Trapped target is freed.

"The is the TM Earthquake, a devastatingly powerful move that has to ability to take out whole groups of Pokemon in the one shot" Rick then turns his attention over to Melody "[COLOR="Sienna]I am guessing you wish to battle now, since my Hippopotas needs healing do you mind if I use a different Pokemon for this challange?"[/COLOR]" Rick asks.

Tucker grins widely, picking Green up and spinning her around.

"We did it! We did it!"

As he does so, Green begins to change. The squishy body of the Caterpie becomes hard, rock-like.

"What the..." Tucker mutters, confused.

"Hey, what happened to her? Is she okay?"

[Dragonsage]

After watching the carefully planed victory, Melody replied Rick. "Oh. Of course I don't if you need to use another pokemon." She then glanced over to Tucker when he started to say something about his Caterpie.

[Lejosh]

Rick turns back to Tucker and says "Your Caterpie has fully evolved into a Metapod. Good for you, now it will be even more powerful than it was before."

Then Rick turns back to Melody and says "Alright then, take your side of the field." As he finish's he walks back over to his side, access's his PC at his end of the field and swaps his Hippopotas with a new Pokemon.

[Arcran]

Tucker almost lets manners take over. Almost.

"One more question!" he says, quickly jogging after the Gym Leader, Green's newfound bulk weighing heavily.

"There's one thing I want to ask. There's this Pokemon called 'Rhyhorn.' I've seen pictures of it. Do you know where I could catch one?"

[Dragonsage]

Melody and Shyvana take their side of the field before scanning the new mon.

[Lejosh]

Rick looks at the picture for a second before saying "Yes, if you are lucky you might be able to capture one in the only Mt Moon area if you are lucky, they are rare, but not unheard of."

He then turns back to the field and throw the Pokeball saying "Go! Diglett!" With that a small worm like creature appears in the field. "Since you have already seen my usual Pokemon battle I shall use a different one to change stratergies!" Rick says to Melody as he prepares for battle.

As you scan the Diglett with your Pokedex the following info comes up:

Weight : 1.8 lbs. 0.8kg
Biology : Diglett seems to be perpetually buried within the earth, usually having only its head visible. It’s brown and looks like a rounded cylinder. It has a big red nose and small eyes. Herbivore.

Then an electronic voice says More data is needed to record Diglett's stat's.

[Arcran]

Tucker's mouth forms a little O as he sees the little Diglett, but he almost chuckles.

"Thanks mister!" he says, dashing out of the Gym from the back exit. "Thanks for the badge!"

After leaving the Gym, Tucker makes a beeline for the Pokemart and going straight for the TM section, looking for one that Titian could use. He'd heard of a move called Waterfall; if he could find that TM for Titian, it'd be a good day. He didn't need one of those fancy HMs - they cost too much. A TM would be fine.

"A Diglett huh?" Melody read her pokedex before look over to the actual Diglett. "Shyvana, lets start things off with a Ember!"

The charmander stared down the mole creature with fierce angry eyes before she took in a breath and launched a burst of fire at it.

As you get to the Pokemart's TM selections you can see a small range of TM's mainly consisting of Waterfall, Sandstorm, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb and a small selection of assorted others.

Melody
Shyvana's Ember misses the diglett hitting the ground behind him before it moves forwards and then uses Growl on Shyvana.

Tucker rummages through the assorted TMs until he finds Brick Break and also grabs the Waterfall TM, going up to the counter. He slides them onto the counter than rummages in his pack for the Earthquake TM.

"Hey, could I trade this for those two TMs?" he asks, looking at the prices. "I think the math works out," he says, looking at the clerk hopefully.

[Dragonsage]

"Keep your distance girl!" Shyvana shrugged off the growl before moving over to I9 and firing off another burst of fire.

Tucker grins, pocketing the syringes. He heads to the Pokemon Center to try to get his team healed and the TMs applied.

When he arrives, he looks for a free nurse.

"Hey! Can I get this Pokemon healed," as he hands Green over. "Also, could I get these TMs applied to my Squirtle?"
