You have the go-ahead to try and steal from one of the three public Temples. I'd recommend the Inside Temple, as that's the only temple that doesn't practice slavery and therefore doesn't keep any torture implements on-site. The choice, however, is entirely up to you.

And it's unlikely that the Hermitage's location will be revealed in one of the others, as the Inside Temple officially don't know where it is, and Elezibethele has only just moved in so might not have let the others know where it is anyway. Also, it's the Temple most likely to utilise torture and won't hand over intruders to any external authority besides Dalachrech, to whom they are given via an altar and nerve-eating beetles.

Alright, I'll start with the one in Inside then go hit the other two temples. As for the secret temple I'll leave that for another day(never). I can't post right away as I have to leave the house but I will post in a few hours.

Also, I read about that adventurer camp-thing a minute ago and, since I think one or two of the scenes I'm participating in are about to end and it sounds funner than a barrel full of monkeys, I'm asking if you've got a bunk for one more. Even more so now that the camp is radiating with that Psychonaut vibe as the first camper to show up is a psychic.

And definitely a compliment. I've played through Psychonauts about four times now, I think, and I would purchase the sequel if one was ever released if only because it would be the sequel of Psychonauts.

1. They could join an org together to get to know each other better and make friends.
2. Spec could suffer from a minor mental breakdown and bring Trium up to speed on her less-than-ideal situation.
3. They could fight some dudes!

Megan can find out through her computer that the virus is some sort of immune-system targeting disease. The virus causes severe brain degeneration; it cause the brain tissue to decompose. It is a nasty, man-made virus...rather strange. Extremely contagious, and it spreads by air so Megan is at risk of contracting the disease. If she doesn't move away from the blown up chess piece soon, she could possibly get sick

How did the virus survive the explosion? Considering that germs and virus die when exposed to high heat...

I think Toby, with his bioweapon laboratory, would do a much better job of handling an engineered virus. AMEN should contact him for help.

Well, considering that Aric kept saying that Excelsior was printed on the chess piece...even after the explosion, and me and Megan both kinda remember that that might have been the company that Marciano owned?

Marciano isn't behind this one. Zane wouldn't work for that deranged little halfling. and Emperor is correct, the virus can survive an extreme heat, such as a quick explosion.
Also, I'm just a minion, the real mastermind has yet to reveal all his plans to me, so I'm in the dark as well.

Nope! Riv owns and operates Excelsior Tech, not Marciano! Plus, why would anyone be stupid enough to print a company name on a custom explosive unless they were trying to frame someone else for the crime? You don't lob chess pieces at dudes while you're under fire, after all.

But...

Even if extreme thermal conditions don't murder this virus, there are several other almost surefire techniques to dispose of them after sealing off the hazardous area that Megan might be aware of.

Copper exposure. Copper pwns microorganisms. Pressure. Every living organism compensates for atmospheric/water pressure bearing down on them in their natural habitat. Get rid of the pressure bearing down on them and pop! They explode! Radioactivity. Deprivation. Sonic waves. Light. Denature with base/acid. Inject self with specific virophages. Have Toby stab it to death. Stuff like that. The only reason I bring any of that up is that if an explosion didn't eliminate 'em, the best standard fire can probably do is make 'em dormant.

Best thing about the sickness, as far as I can tell, is that it is a virus. It cannot multiply on its own. There's also a level of host specificity associated with pathogens, so AMEN members with nonhumanoid anatomy possibly won't be plagued by it, I'd like to think. But that's all extrapolation without experimentation.

Course, The Hatters might jump in immediately to try to help fix everything if they were aware of the details of the attack and sterilization efforts.

If you want her to go fish for demons, Mindfreak, maybe you should just put her in a thread with a silver object. Possibly after OoC agreeing for another character to accompany her. If we do it all IC, we'll be lucky to get it running by Easter.

Yeah. And it's Excelsior Tech, not Excelsior Industries. There's nothing at all industrious about Riv's little science project.

As for killing viruses, it's not that hard to do, even with the heat-resistant strains. The main difficulty is in finding a method vicious enough to absolutely/positively eliminate every one of the little bastards without killing the patient as well. Alexandrian's done a pretty good job of outlining the best methods, but, I'm not sure how effective any of those would be against oxygen molecules.....

And for that matter, how the boop does oxygen have DNA?!
