I've missed Jade. The innocence, the cheerfulness, the raw power, the complete and total inability to acknowledge the absurd coupled with the tendency to get caught up with the inane... Three years and she just introduces herself as if she just moved in next door, despite the canine appearance and the display of raw power.

Speaking of raw power, I'm wondering what's happening around Derse right now. Because I don't see Dirk and Roxy panicking the way Jake and Jane do. Dirk because he's... well, Dirk, and Roxy because Dirk is right about her. And because it's the Condesce, the architect of their woes, standing right in front of them. Of all of the Beta kids, however, I think John is the most likely to have spent time improving his combat skills, and it would be amusing to see Dirk and Roxy's expressions while he proves it.

I suspect that the troll meteor is going to explode into Derse, rather than John. John doesn't really have the ability to move at the kind of speeds that Jade can manage, and also there's a symmetry to having a dancestor at each location.

    Huh.

...I can see why there was no Flash for the Alpha kids' God Tiering- the whole 'void session makes everything silent/dead/pathetic' thing that Dirk was talking about- but I'm really disappointed that the return of John and Jade comes with so little fanfare. Honestly, I was expecting Hussie to have all four of them arrive in one big Flash on 4/13.

Maybe the troll's meteor will go for skaia and get portall'ed to earth in the far future after the kids/trolls evacuate? Except that doesn't really make sense, since Jade could stop it easily.

I think it will be passing by Union Jack though, since he was sent to the very outside of the session.

Union Jack teleported outside Incipisphere; so was Dirk, but to the opposite side (but nobody else from the B2 party was similarly disposed of, what does that mean? Is it that Dirk [or Jack for that matter] could somehow beat Condi's plan, or is it that the other good guys are somehow important in a way that Dirk isn't?)

    Jane and Jade are mind-controlled

Roxy and Jake are subdued; the former is obviously confused and the latter is freaking out

John and that ship are presumably just inside the session (or however near Jade had to be to do the spacey thing) with no way of knowing what just happened barring some sort of contingency they set up (which I doubt)

Where's the Trolls/Rose/Dave meteor right now? I don't quite recall.

Also, as this is the official END OF ACT 6 ACT 5, Act 6 now appears to be falling into the same pattern as Homestuck as a whole, not counting the x2combo:

    A6A1, A6A2, A6A3, A6A4, A6A5 (split into two sub-subacts)

Presumably Condy still needs Roxy for her ambiguous glitter-covered plan.

The meteor should be showing up any minute now, and as soon as it's inside the Incipisphere I'm sure it will have a Bad Wolf, Worst Teammate to greet it.

We miiiiiiiight be seeing them this next intermission, but I'm betting more Caliborn.

I'm wondering how Jane and Jade are gonna get snapped out of this eventually. Will simple non-heroic/just deaths work, or will it have to be the death of the Condesce?

    Sucessfull troll empress is sucessfull.

The good news is that Dirk may meet the meteor group, and tell them about what is going on. The bad news is that the kids have lost a first guardian ally, and the only one they have left is PM, who is too busy dealing with Jack, while )(IC now has both JAde and GCat.

Also, I bet we are having more of Caliborn's Start of Darkness next.

Dirk is probably the most screwed out of anyone. Basically he needs to be found, or else Jade needs to be released, in the timeframe for which Dirk can survive in space.

According to MSPA's wiki it looks like grimdarkness explicitly has to do with the horrorterrors, so no. She does kinda look different though, maybe it's related?

i was under the impression it happened when some powerful outside force (mainly said horrorterrors) took control of someone/a player. The Condy definitely counts as a powerful outside force so it's possible, however the theory does have a few flaws.

Mainly in that Rose, when grimdark, still had visible free-will, whereas jane in this situation does not. it might not be safe to say the HT's were controlling her if she did infact nothing which would further any goals they may have. Looking back at it, were we ever given an explanation as to why she turned grimdark in the first place?

i was talking with someone about this last night, and he was thinking that since she asked the magic cueball "are the elder gods good or evil" or something along those lines, the answer was so incomprehensible a normal human mind couldn't understand it, possibly forcing the HT's to grant her a fraction of power just so she didn’t die or go insane right then and there.

Why she suddenly decided to go find john and fight jack noir immediately afterwords still escapes me.

i really need to re-read the whole thing i think.

I seem to recall Rose turning Grimdark because the horrorterrors corrupted her light powers flipping them to void powers temporarily and her grief manifested those powers. But I can't for the life of me remember if that was explained by Hussie in comic out of comic or if it was just fan speculation.
