Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
SpoilerBoy, Roxy got the best of John quickly. To be fair to the Heir, though, it's not like he's spent the last three years largely surrounded by sprites and consorts who, by their very nature, are obligated to make getting the simplest of answers from them a federal issue. I half expected John to point out that he has been neck deep in riddles and puzzles when he so much as asks what time it is.Spoiler: My inventory:
1 Sentient Sword
1 Jammy Dodger (I was promised tea)
1 Godwin Point.

Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
Just had a thought:
Ms Paint, Gamzee, and Lil Cal are all the most important character in Homestuck.
THEREFORE, they are all the same person at different points in a stable time loop, like the Con Air bunnies.

Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
This is amazing.
I think there is only one way it can go, ultimately speaking. Dave has to get together with Jane to complete the circle.
Dave and John are best bros, after all, and if it's currently April in-comic Mother's Day is coming up...

Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
Shipping aside, the term "unstuck from canon" is now uh... canon. I think it was the first time the term was used in the comics.

Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
I think the implication here is not that she successfully made the MatriOrb, since half of the thing looks like it's made of ecto-gunk.

Wait, really? How long have they been going at it again?
Anyway I totally forgot that Caliborn was screwing with everything, looks like we're gonna be getting some more smack talk out of him soon.

Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
Never heard of Lobac, but Let's Read Homestuck is done by a group called CoLabHQ (used to be Homestuck Colab) who voice act the entire series, one half hour of content a week.
Not all of the actors are the best - the kids, for instance, were not very good at first, but they've come to their own through constant practice. Now they get their pick of the best when a new character becomes available - their Gamzee is awesome, for instance, and on showcase this week.
If you ever feel like seeing Homestuck from a new perspective, hearing the story without going cross-eyed from the sheer amount of words, or just enjoy some low-impact Homestuck, give it a shot. It's on youtube and it's gorgeous.Spoiler: My inventory:

This comic is blurring the lines between meta and not-meta in uncomfortable ways.

Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
You know, a second act of Caliborn's narration might have been too much for me. John being there, though is enough to keep me from being too annoyed with Caliborn. Also, Caliborn is off the rails enough that it's amusing in a sort of vaguely SBAHJ-ish way.

Yeah, John adds a lot of hilarity. Watching him squeeze through that door made my laugh much more than it should have.

Amusingly, fans predicted nearly every single character except that one. But in retrospect, if you go back and look at earlier pages, it makes perfect sense!

ch is Re: MS Paint Adventures 7: At the Price of Oblivion
yes.
which already says much about how Aranea is far more dangerous than Vriska
and Vriska, mind you, was the one who made Bec Noir exist. and caused big the mess that resulted from his existence.
now imagine Vriska, but far better social manipulator, much more subtle and better at thinking things through.
Serkets are dangerous. incredibly dangerous. and soon we will find out how dangerous they are when its a Serket who is actually good at what they do...
