Default Am I doing this right/magic item creation

Ok so I thought of an interesting idea for a magic item and want to run the math to see if I am doing this right. My idea is to have a grapple hook that I can use when I am in a dungeon that can be a backup weapon. I wanted to take a Grasping Hook (from dungeonscape) and get it enchanted as a +1 weapon with the dancing weapon and ghost touch properties. My question is how do the existing properties affect what I can put on the hook? Since it does not give a equivalent, this acts as a +1 entry. would this be like I am making a +6 weapon or a +7? any help would be appreciated.

You would enchant it seperately as a weapon. Start with a +1 for 2k and go on from there. Its non weapon magical properties dont affect its weapon enchantments. Note that unless u can somehow gain proficiency with it you'd be taking the -4 on attacks.

    Sounds like a cool idea.
