i still gotta prep my infusions for the day but that'll be easy enough.
My character was kicked out of the Izzet but still stubbornly considers himself a member of the izzet. so, now i'm just a wandering wierd-making person.

Artificers don't prep infusions, they just cast whatever they want off their list, up to their limit per day.

ahh, ok, sorry, this is my first time running an artificer, and i think i was told i had to prep them but ok.

Okay, you are awakened in your home/workshop one morning by a very loud banging on your door. "Open up!"

A tall man in brightly polished armor is flanked by two of his comrades, obviously Azorius patrolmen. "Are you the owner of this residence?"

"no, a friend is having me housesit while he's on jury duty." ( not sarcasm)

"Very well then, could you please come down to the station so we can take a statement please? It will only be a few minutes"

"The statement would be regarding concerning the identity of this residence's owner, as well as the nature of the loud noise reported to be coming from this residence."

"oh, the loud noise..."
" listen, i didn't mean to disturb the peace or anything but i find i sleep better when the windows are rigged to foil any would-be thieves from stealing from me."
" that and you can never be too careful when you don't know who your enemies are, right?"
" i'll come with you guys though, just let me get my scimitar, the guy who owns this place has been trying to get it for years now."

"Very well then, if you insist, though I hardly think weapons a necessary." the main guard says as he taps his foot impatiently.

* goes and grabs scimitar and attaches it to belt, also grabs bag with my other stuff in it, including my spellbook*
" you never know when you'll need something. let's go."
* locks door behind me*

"Very well then, could you please follow us?" The main guard leads and the two others follow behind you.

* follows the main guard while whistling to self and contemplating what i want for breakfast ic*

After following them for a while, you all turn a corner into a dark alley. Suddenly, one of the rear guards pulls out a dagger and attempts to plunge it into your back.

The alley is 10 feet wide, with the path behind you blocked by the rear guards, and the head guard directly in front of you. You notice they don't look as much like Azorius patrolmen now, perhaps something more sinister instead.

"i should've known you weren't azorius. No azorius would've bought the bluff about my friend being on jury duty!"

The two behind you are about to follow up, but suddenly have rocks dropped on them from above.

ok, i'll quickdraw my scimitar, then bladed dash, hitting the guy behind me on the left as i dash by him if i can do so.

Bladed Dash? Oh I see, you're just moving and attacking. Roll to hit, and note that you'll take an AoO from the main guy.
