Shadows in the Blood
Check out the new webcomic from 2040 Productions!
Synopsis:
Reim's joy at finally finding the portal home was short lived.
After 5 grueling years of tireless searching and endless battle, Reim
dared to dream his days of fighting Zenith's horde of Shadow-Kin were
over.
He was wrong. Now with his human form lost to him, his family dead and
the myst threatening to claim his very soul, Reim must continue to
fight. Not only to defeat the divine evil besieging Balzar, the last
great human city, but also to save himself from the growing darkness
inside him; the shadows, in his blood...
"Shadows In the Blood" follows the adventures of Reim, Teran and their
allies as they fight to keep the light of hope burning in a city that
is falling into shadows... Can they continue fighting the monsters
that hunger in the dark without becoming monsters themselves?
Some lines should never be crossed, some wrongs can never be made
right. Some men are born to be saviors and some are just born to
fight.

Re: Shadows in the Blood
You need a better pitch than that. At least include a short description of what the comic is about and what people can expect from it.
Edit: First impression -> i really don't like the site design. There is no way to bookmark a specific page since the URL always says "index.php#comic" and the Next button isn't in line with the other buttons. Plus, there is no "yo, this is a link" cursor change when hovering over a button.Last edited by Domochevsky; 2012-11-16 at 11:10 AM.

Re: Shadows in the Blood
The comic is interesting, the artwork is very nice, but the website design could be better? I also agree that you need a better pitch or description to lure readers in. other than that... Excellent! :)

Re: Shadows in the Blood
your archive button appears to simply send one to the first comic. From a non technological standpoint, your comic seems to have potential but it's a bit to early to really appraise the plot.

Re: Shadows in the Blood
That's not a firefox problem, that's a "your internet" problem.
I'd like to say that, not having read the actual story, the art looks excellent. I think I'll enjoy this. Another thing I'd pass along to you guys is that you might want to hop on over to "Comic-rocket.com" and make sure your page on the site is satisfactory. CR is a great tool for keeping track of webcomic progress, and I use it exclusively. The information about the comics are user-created, though, and as such don't have anything pretty like a banner with the title on them until the comic's owner contacts the site.

Re: Shadows in the Blood
Okay, yeah. So I read the first bit, and I'm definitely intrigued. This is definitely a very promising comic, and as far as I can tell, there's really only one problem. The main character doesn't seem like a Mary Sue -- he's apparently a good deal weaker than the Lightkeeper, and he also seems the tiniest bit mental. The art is gorgeous and cinematic, and the story is intriguing, if a tad pedestrian. The only problem is that everyone talks way too much.
I get that you seem to be going for a guy kind of like Spider-Man, who cracks jokes while he fights, and all that, but no matter how fast he is, nobody can complete sentences in-between punches in a normal fight, let alone a super-powered one. So what those extra words do is this: they clutter up the gorgeous art, making it harder to follow the action, and they slow down the action tremendously.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this guy is supposed to be both quick-thinking and very agile. However, in these panels, everything seems so slow:

Again, terrific comic. Just work on the pacing and reduce the banter mid-fight, and you could have something really exceptional.
