[Nexus] OOC 37: What Goes Here Again?

Eh, that's really hard to say, especially at this point. Each Side has its ups and downs. I don't know if any one particular side is worse off than the others. (Aside from Southside's non-existingness of course.

A governing body really probably won't fit in. I mean, they'd have a hard time trying to push in on the other people's turf. unless they wanted to democratically run in Eastside, but the current people just got voted in, so I don't see that happening. But again, it's hard to say in the midst of the current plot. I'm just speculating based onw hat I know.


In other news
I just did a number of fairly minor updates tot he GLoG OP, and I thought I'd list them here for all your benefits.

1. Did the requested updates tot he member list as well as a few minor fixes. I'm still looking for an excuse to update more, so if anyone has anything that needs updating or otherwise, please let me know.
2. I created the Miscellaneous Inhabitants section, which replaces the drone section. here I've detailed the protective spirits (likely to be updated more), the drones, and the ghosts. If any of the ghosts' players would like their ghost to also be included in the member list proper, please let me know.
3. Updated the defenses area to make mention to the spirits.
4. Updated cabin information, including reorganizing, updating existing cabins and full cabins, detailing general cabin info better. I invite people to define what cabins their characters living in, because I'm weird and like to document these things. Keep in mind not to just pop them in any old cabin, though, as some are full/occupied by a family or there may be other reasons your character might not be in a particular cabin.

If anyone else has any suggestions for updates to the OP, please let me know.


On that note, I'd like to make a request. Lately I've been making a point of making the GLoG OP, since I like organizing and documenting these things. As things stand, anyone willing to manage the OP can make the thread when the 50 page mark rolls around. I was wondering if anyone would mind if I were to be the one managing the OP and creating the new threads in an official capacity. I figure it'd be beneficial to have one person managing it, and I'm around often enough that there should be no delay in the new thread being made.

I'm leaving absent players' characters on there unless it's very clear they're aren't coming back. People come and go from the Nexus enough that it's hard to be certain.

As for Andy's cabin, the Apple cabin is supposed to be used by guests at GLoG on a temporary basis, so Andy should have moved out of there some time ago if he was there to begin with. Would you like to just handwave him into another cabin?

@horngeek: Skyside is still a thing! Not dead at all! Just on hold until MagCave Invasion is resolved. I don't know if your faction could find a place there if you're patient enough. Would have to know more. Just saying so though. I'm sure a lot of people think it died a slow and painful death of inactivity.

This is advance warning as I'll forget to give warning closer to the time, but I'm not certain as to my state of online activity this Day of Woden due to the anniversary of myself witnessing twenty two orbits of the Earth around the Sun. There is, weather-dependent and space permitting, a possibility of a hot air balloon ride in the evening.

Also, I don't think Skyside will have anything against magic. I hope not, anyway, as I'm planning on setting up a Temple to Pazuzu there, and Pazuzites have little technology. More than some Demon Lords, but not as much as the Devils. Demons tend to avoid science, anyway, due to previous bad experiences.

Take Amour’s intrigue (without the weird loner, and lover, issues), Nomlas’ boldness (without the uncouth idiocy, and ignoring the occasional bouts of OMG-cowardice), Vespe’s flair (without the moral weakness – don’t try and deny it), Butler’s sexiness (without the overtones of rank easiness), Fanboy’s gothic impressiveness (without the tendency to get on your nerves), and everyone else good looking you can think of’s attractiveness (without that ugly stench of mortality). He has slightly pointed ears, pale, almost luminous skin, big, red-pink eyes, lacking pupils, and a wiry, muscular physique, that screams effortlessness. He's flaming hawt. Of course, anyone who was in the Waves plot might recognize the form of Prince Kaelaroth Maschin of Magtok-Armennia.

He's wearing jeans, boots, a white shimmering scarf, a furry vest, a leather jacket on top of that, and a blue shirt underneath, largely chosen as his dress of choice to protect against unexpected zombie attacks. A pretty, if nondescript necklace hangs around his neck. On his pointer finger, not ring finger, is a bright ring with a small gem inset into it. Attached to his belt is a wicked looking dragon tooth knife, ammo for his rifle, and a pouch holding the lock pick set he wants people to find when they search him, the secret set hidden in his boots. Slung over his back is his ever present sniper rifle. Painted on the butt of the rifle is an elder sign symbol.

Hmm... I really need to commission someone to update that description with Nexus characters that are still around.

Makes me wonder who would end up in this new description.

He's an ugly buttface with pinkeye and sparkles. He looks like an elven former male model, with originally fabulous abs that have gotten soft and saggy over the years, because Reinholdt just sorta assumed that magic would take care of all the exercise and whatnot that goes into sustain that sort of physique. He has numerous cuts up and down his body, because he has a really weird fetish for that sort of thing, and his teeth are all rotten and misaligned, because trout-scented toothpaste isn't a thing.

Take Magtok's butt (without the shiny metal left cheek), Harnel's brashness (without the breast obsession, or the immunity to being burnt to death), Vyrn's paranoia (without the moral weakness – don’t try and deny it), Butler’s sexiness (Hey, I can say he's sexy and still be heterosexual. Shut up), Tobias's martial impressiveness (without the tendency to complain about how people view HALO), and everyone else's traits you can think of (without that ugly stench of individuality), and then just forget about all of those things except Magtok's posterior, because they're totally irrelevant and Reinholdt is just one ugly, smelly, totally unlikeable butt.
