    It'll be 20 something turns before anyone has built a scout. I like Marathon, but it gets tedious on singleplayer real early with how slow everything goes. With a hotseat game it could become unbearable. Unless there was some way to set things up so that everyone had a huge cash stockpile to buy some scout/worker/settler early, the game will get super tedious.
