Baccata's Yew

"Yes, I am. I've never met another dryad before. Do you have a yew, too?" Baccata smiles. Yay, a friend she doesn't need to worry about outliving!

Except for the fact that yew trees are some of the longest-lived trees in existence, with some suspected of being over a thousand years old.

Gathering of Friends

"Do you get on well with each other?" Natalie's still a bit astounded by the two-soul problem.

[Reinholdt]

"All right." Reinholdt says. He doesn't really care about whoever it was that got telenapped, but it'd be good to know what the spirits can do. It'd also be nice to know he wasn't hallucinating. Both good reasons to follow Reelshka.

[Grounds]

Reelshka stares off into the distance for a while. Then, a breeze blows next to her, and Reinholdt might spot a very indistinct shape in the air, resembling a big wolf.

"Show us where it happened," she tells Reinholdt.

[Reinholdt]

[Grounds]

Reinholdt heads all of three feet away from the bench to stand in front of the Main Cabin. "Right here. I was on the roof at the time." Reinholdt says, nodding upwards for a bit before looking around down on the ground. "Yep. Standing right about here."

Reelshka looks at the air where the indistinct wolf-shape is standing and seems to whisper something. The wolf-shape walks over to Reinholdt and sniffs at the ground. Up close, Reinholdt might feel the presence of the spirit even if he still can't see it very well.

"Now let's see if it picks up anything."

The wolf-spirit will try to pick up the scents of everyone who has passed there recently and focus on any scent the source of which was abruptly removed.

"Nope. A yew's a kinda tree, right? My tree's a willow tree." Salix chatters excitedly. "I never met a dryad before either. One time auntie Reelshka told me another dryad was here before but she's never came back, so that doesn't count. Where'd you come from? Your tree wasn't here before."

"My tree was in a graveyard by an old church on a hill. There were a group of people, the Winstons, living in a square cave they built nearby, but these walking corpse-people wandered by and killed them. I got very lonely after that, so I told the first person I met afterwards that I would give them the location of the Winston's old home if he'd help move me somewhere I wouldn't get lonely. He agreed and left, but he came back and moved my tree here. His name's Justin, and if you see him, give him a big hug. How'd you get here?" Baccata sits down on the ground and leans back against her tree, unconsciously starting the process of hiding within it. It looks as though she's now growing out of the tree; her legs are root-like, and there's no gap between her back and the trunk of the tree. The jumpsuit makes these changes harder to see, however.

A scent? Well, Marty's scent is clearly sensed, he's absolutely oozing black and demonic magic. His magical aura still can be sensed.

"Well, you're safe now. And, um, whichever you you are, I want to be friends," she declares.

"It's hard to say," Sophie answers. "I've always been a human, so I don't know anything else. But it doesn't make me feel like I'm really different from anyone who isn't human.

"Then what make you all alike?"

"Ooh, I know who Justin is. he threw my friend a big birthday party. he's really nice." Salix says, although she hasn't actually had the opportunity to really meet him. "So you're gonna live here now? That's so great!"

Meanwhile, a young-looking golden-haired woman is walking down the path while wistling...

And when she arrives at the campground's gates, she might encounter a young silver-haired, dusky-skinned man tending to the blooming cactus there.

Rose tilts her head as she looks at the cactus wall. "Huh. I don't think this was here last time I was in the Nexus... hey there."

"Ah, hello." The gardner looks up and smiles with a nod at the newcomer. "Welcome to the Good League of Good."

"Oh, I lived here a while back. I meant the cactus fence.

More a delaying tactic than anything else, I'm guessing?

Sorry, I'm Rose."

The young woman extends her hand.

[Gate? What Gate?]

"Pretty much. And nice to meet you, Miss Rose. Taurus Russkij," he introduces himself with a smile, taking the hand and shaking it firmly.

Rose smiles as the pair shake hands. "Anything major happened recently I should know about?"

"Well, that would depend on 'major' and on 'recently'. I believe I heard something about a kidnapping," Taurus says.

"Really? Huh. If they need help on the rescue mission..."

[The Bushranger]

"You'd have to talk to others, Miss Rose," Taurus says politely.

Not as politely as Butler, though.

That would be inconceviable!

"I might do that. Is Quinn in charge of that, or someone else?"

[The Bushranger]

"I belive Miss Sophie is in charge, actually."
As Quinn knows nothing!

"All right. I might speak to her, then...

Say, how long have you been here?"

"For some time. I honestly haven't kept track of time too well," Taurus admits, with a bit of a blush.

Rose laughs. "I know how that feels, believe me. Time flies when you're having fun, wasn't it?"

"Or, as the frog said, time is fun when having flies," Taurus answers with a grin.

"Hah! Well, it's a pleasue to meet you, Taurus."

"Digger is from Boston. That accent is as impenetrable as it is hilarious. The girl talks normal at least." Though Baccata hasn't gotten a chance to meet her. "I'll have them get on it before they're gone today. Do you have some sort of equipment shed or..."

Harald will show up as an acrid pall of metal and electricity, with underlying tones of human. His track will be thin and spread out coming up to the main area, but thicker from when he got off his hoverbike (which leaves a faint trace of metal). It will approach the main cabin, and turn into a thick cloud where he stood to fill out the form, then disappear.
