Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Yeah, it only killed most of the microbes. That's why people still turn into skeletons and stuff.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
....Welp, that last two minutes was unexpected.
SpoilerAlso, it figures that the Ice Kingdom's been done, since the new version of it's been in the background for at least, what, ten episodes now?

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
So, uh, that episode. It was nice. Also, someone needs to track down the translated Korean, because that would clear up a bit.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Oh dear.
SpoilerCandy person immortality just got a bit darker, and going by PB talking about colonizing and the actual kingdom's greyish pallet scheme that shows up every so often when bad stuff is happening in it, I don't think this will end well. Also, Bubblegum convinced one of her more dim subjects (apparently on purpose, giving the clone acted almost exactly as James did) to sacrifice himself, and she had no trouble with cloning said candy person and naming said clone after the sacrificed original. That's not a good sign of her value for individual life.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Spoiler
The real question is why should she value individual lives whose personalities and memories she can bottle? Seems a little odd to maintain that she, who lives in totally different circumstances from us, would have to maintain the same moral/ethical grounding we do.
I really digged this episode, especially with the similarities between the radiation folk and the zombified candy people.

Well,
Spoiler: Recent Episode Spoilerit's hard to say how much of his actual memories she cloned. Sure, he's a doofus of the first order, but he seemed to have literally no recollection of the events that transpired.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
SpoilerI thought it was clear that the vanilla ice cream sandwich person she whipped up with James's DNA was a blank slate, effectively, going by how he reacted to the awards. It's a identical physical copy of the original James, but that just means that the 'goofiness' of the original is intact, rather then any of his actual identity.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Spoiler: JamesYeah, I figured that was the point of the lucky coin. The "real" James was disturbingly fond of that thing. The clone James, on the other hand, seemed pretty nonchalant about it.
Besides, even if she could completely restore his memories and personality, the original James still suffered a horrible fate and is now a toxic zombie, so it's not like there isn't a victim here.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
The clone she made of him very much wasn't the original one; it's pretty obvious that the new James is just a replacement goldfish for the old one.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
It kind of irks me they are going into the mad science direction, as opposed to the 'joy in science', especially since she is a female character. There is not enough female characters on TV who have a true joy in science. She was kind of going in this direction earlier, and it saddens me she is no longer.
She claims that she knew they wouldn't work, so she had to make sure they weren't attempted. That makes a fair bit of sense actually.Last edited by Ravens_cry; 2013-11-27 at 07:07 PM.
