The Barren Wastelands Reboot (IC)

When Bic said that anybody could guard a tied-up elf, the elf scowls a bit. "Y'know, a pretty thing like you belongs with OUR gang. We're gonna be the new king of the hill in the Barrens soon. You follow us and...service us, and we can get you pretty things and nice things and sometimes even real food."

Bic giggled and shook her head. After that display? I mean, sure I didn't even see it, but when I came back, you four were laying there bleeding, and nobody else was even hurt.

She snickered again, covering her mouth with her fist. I don't recognize you guys either. A lot of gangsters come through the escort company... all of the big guys. You're not a big gang. And cute doesn't get me pretty things, or real food, cupcake. She sighed, honestly thinking about a life where she ate real food. No, I've been duped with that offer before. And the guys then even had some stories to tell. Whats your story? You don't always get beaten up when trying to take over diners? She laughed. Silly boy. She tapped his nose playfully.

[Frosty]

"Err...well...not *every* fight is an immediate victory, yah? Let me tell you there has been PLENTY of times where I've successfully come back from the bring of defeat..." The elf starts launching into a few stories about some of his previous exploits. From those stories, you can tell that the gang *was* poor, but recently has swelled in ranks and is well-funded...and looking to expand its territories into the Barrens.

Oh... She purred, nudging him to continue as he talked, but otherwise staying silent, trying to remember every detail he told her. Maybe you are big and bad.

She moved to sit beside his chair and leaned onto him. You're doing well. I bet you've caught the eye of some big fish, haven't you? She lightly squeezed his arm, and smiled seductively. You're starting to sound like quite the man.

[Azktor]

Taurus look at the mage/hobo and says "Are you felling okay?" Taurus makes a pauses and then says "I'm Taurus by the way, I did not catch your name. What you did back at the Krill on Grill was pretty impressive." Taurus do not like very much of small talk...but the guy just made four gangers faint without moving a finger and that is something he respects.
He then looks to the nerdy guy who have been quiet the whole time and ask "And how about you? What is your name?"

[Frosty]

The elf grins. "Yeah, and I'll be bigger and badder if you help me out of these ropes and then I get the jump on that scary troll downstairs. The big fish, as you say, will be very happy and reward me if I do so. And I can share those rewards with you. See, we want to take over this place, and the troll and the crazy mage is standing in the way..."

Bic frowned, clearly dumbfounded and distraught. If you're wrong, that troll will kill me. Approaching slowly, she slowly changed her frown into a smile. Baby, I need reassurance. If there is a big fish, then I'd have heard of him right? And if I let you go, you can handle a big mean all troll who has a gun, right? And you'll really take me with you, right? Looking disdainfully at the floor, she added, peaking back up shyly And not leave me behind, right?

[Frosty]

"Well of course baby! I can handle trolls and physical brutes just fine. That damned mage just caught us by surprise, that's all. I can run circles around that big, dumb troll. Trust me..."

Alright... but... um. I don't... who? Who are working for? This is happening so damned fast. Which gang even are you? And who is this big fish? How do I know you're not just going to make a run for it and leave me here alone to deal with the angry troll and crazy mage alone? I don't wanna be alone, baby... Bic looked around the room anxiously and let out a short word less whine.

Big names would be reassuring. For all I know you four, or, I guess you two, are the entire gang and... maybe there is no big fishy. If you run away that troll might kill me. Gangers don't care about girls like me. I know my place. I'm just a toy. But as long as I'm not broken I get to eat and I don't want to piss off a troll and break over a clever word from a pretty elf, you know? I don't want to be alone in the streets... or starve... what if you run.. oh. Bic sits on the floor and looks at the door that leads downstairs. He could come at any moment. I don't want to get caught either. But if you are telling the truth... I could live much better with you. And you're so handsome... I wouldn't have to be with any one ugly anymore... and real food. Bic whimpered with indecisiveness.

The young shaman talked all the while still holding the cuff of his shirt to his nosebleed.

"Ah, er... Name's Rover. Not feeling too good. Never seen me before? I love your food! Especially the #3, yum."

The drug floating within his blood kept him alert, his hands a bit shaky. But the overwork from the spell, and the rough situation in general, made him want to just lie down, hide, and go to sleep... a tiredness his body disallowed. It was an odd feeling.

[Azktor]

Taurus looks back at Rover "Yeah, I have...Just did not know your name, since I'm always on the kitchen. And thanks! I do try my best to some good honest food!" Taurus then look at the door and say "****! I wonder why she is taking so long. The elf was small, but usually the small guys knows the nastier tricks." Taurus looks back to Rover and thinks "Just like you..."

[Frosty]

"Man you girls are always so scared. That's why you'd be just another naked toy with us. But you're pretty, so you'd make a good toy, and trust me we'd feed you well if all goes according to plan. Forgot us 4. While we only had 50 people as recently as 6 months back, now we gots over 200 bros, and we gonna CRAP over these weak dreks around here! Our boss, The Masticator, are gonna make sure we live like KINGS!"

Bic sighed. Ok. Ok. I'll do it. Let me look for a knife.. She said as she turned and went to the counter. She slipped slightly and knocked something heavy onto the ground. She looked back at the elf and cringed. I... ****. I hope nobody heard--

The elf grits his teeth. "You...you clumsy slut! They're gonna hear you!" hisses the elf quietly.

[Azktor]

Taurus is about to say something more to Rover when a big BLAM come from the other side of the room. Taurus kicks the door with all his strength and run into the room saying "WHAT THE ****!" seeing the elf awake and Bic close by him. Taurus go close to the elf and says to Bic "Everything ok? Want me to put him down again?"

Bic jumped and quickly backed away a bit before stumbling, as if terrified, and half shouted Y-! I! Yes, I mean, no! It was an accident! I'm -- I was juss -- just watching him, I -- I di-didn't do anything! Like, anything! She stumbled with her words as easily as she stumbled in real life. I, uh, tripped and bumped into something. That! must be why he is, uh, awake and stuff. She stared at the troll for a moment, then a short whimper escaped her and she covered her face with her hands, collapsing onto her knees and shaking with silent sobs of fear.

And the elf boy will eat that right up. Stupid gangers want their women to be dumb so badly, they'll believe anything if it makes them right. I don't know why I am even trying to hard to be convincing. A small smile crept under her hands, but she wiped it away before whimpering softly again. Sorry. I'm just scared... she mumbled, barely audible from between her hands. All this violence, and then with the door and I knocked into something and it was loud! I'm just a escort, I don't like all of this violence. I took this job because Mr. Helst said it was safe, and I wouldn't have to deal with all the violence of the city and stufffff as long as I did what I was to-o-old... mm Falling onto her side she hummed softly to herself for a minute, then went quiet, still covering her face.

[Azktor]

Taurus stare at the girl for a second thinking "Damn! I cannot understand this chick, so strong and brave at some times and so weak and scared in others times." Taurus was not in there to wipe away some girl tears, so he let her cry. And went in the direction of the elf and gave a punch to make him faint again."Take this mother****er! For messing with Krill on the Grill!"

Since he is tied up I will presume that I do not need to roll for precision.
My Strength is 9, so my punch damage is (9 ÷ 2) = 5S, round up right?

Sure. With that 5S damage, the elf goes back into dreamland once more. You are now free to talk.

Taurus turn back to Bic and says "Calm down, he have fainted again...so, did you find anything from this guy?"

Bic sighs and stands up. I wasn't really scared of you, you know. I know you're on my side. But I had to make him think I was scared of you so he would continue to trust me. But I did find out a bit. She beams up at the trolls, feigning a dimwitted pride in her deception played on the elf.

Eagerly and excited, she recounts what she learned about the gangsters, and about "The Masticator." Maybe if we say this... uh stuff to the orc, he'll think that the elf cracked and gave up the info and the orc will tell us stuff to save himself from you ... uh... like kicking him or something.

[Azktor]

"What those ****heads are in a gang with 200, sounds like a lie. They will not take over Krill on the Grill..." Taurus mumble for a second and then says "I guess is a good ideia, the ork seens to be the leader, so lets talk to him."

"The Masticator" is the nickname that was given to a local Combat-Boxer. He's a has-been that used to be pretty big in the amateur circles, and the nickname was given to him as a joke when he bit someone's ear off during a match. Friends of the other boxer used their connections to remove The Masticator from the sport, and it is rumored that The Masticator went off and found his own gang to continue the mayhem...outside of the ring. However, the gang, The Alphas, was generally thought of as...weak and unimpressive.

Taurus is about to go talk to the ork, when a thought comes to his mind "Wait a second...I know that ****ing name!" He then share what he knows about "The Masticator" with Bic, Rover and Tych0. After explaining he then says "...so, he is The Alpha leader, the 200 members is probably a lie from the elf. They are not the biggest gang out there."

The Alphas is not based in the Barrens. According to grapevine, it shouldn't nearly be strong enough try to muscle into the Barrens, where the local gangs are *really* mean. 'SHOULDN'T' being the key word. The Masticator could just be really dumb...

Bic smiles and gives Taurus a look that says: "I don't know" 200 isn't the biggest I've heard gangers bragging about their numbers either, though. You may want to consider what you're going to do when you're done with these guys. They have seen our faces.

[Azktor]

"I know...but, they probably also have someone else that knows that they would come to Krill on the Grill as well, so I'm not really worried about they knowing our faces...but we can deal with that latter." Taurus is not worried, he have passed worst things in his life. "Well lets talk to the ork, see if we can find anything more."

Taurus then go to the place that the ork is kept. When he enters he sees a struggling ork, he grab his cleaver that is still there. He then remove the gag from the ork and says "So, like I said before...the elf was really soft and spit everything out. We know about "The Masticator" and I bet you that your boss is not going to be happy with you or your friends, he will just kill all three of you and you know it." Taurus make a pauses to let the ork assimilate what he just said and then says "But if I knew where to find him I would be more then happy to kill him. You still going to be in jail, but at least alive."

The ork gulps but then grins. "I'll do the next best thing. I'll tell you where he's GONNA be tomorrow. You know that big market square on Donski street? Oh he'll be there tomorrow, and I'm sure he and his buddies will give you nice, BIG welcome. Now either kill me or let me go, cuz Lone Star doesn't care about JACK in the barrens, and you know it."

[Azktor]

Taurus let's the ork finish what he got to says and then punch him into sleep times one more time. He then gag him again and goes tell Bic, Rover and Tych0 what he heard from the ork and says. "I do not know what to do right now...I just need a cold synthalcohol, I just can't think. Would you all like to tag along? If no, we could see eachother again 12:00 on Krill on the Grill tomorrow, right now I'm just going to leave then tied up, unless one of you got a better solution."

Bic glares Taurus. You mean a gun? I thought we all had guns. But I've had enough adventure for one day, I'm going home. I'll see you at the restaurant at noon.

[Azktor]

"I think a gun is going to be what we need to do...but I will leave that for tomorrow." Taurus certifies that the knots are firm in both the ork and the elf, that they are both with a gag and then places something really heavy ((if there is something heavy)) in front of the door. And start to leave the place with the others, going for Krill on the Grill.
