As Kila offers him a cup of wine, Simon looks to the beautiful woman, and smiles.
"Thank you."

Simon Clanks over to her.

In the evening light Klia smiles as she removes two clay mugs and a bottle of wine. She uncorks it and pours the dark red liquid.

Glancing at Simon from behind her long black locks she asks Do you want some food as well?. It's much better than Fillangus' grule she laughs.

Bob sheathes his sword and says,
“Well I think I saw some butchering knives in the wagon, maybe we can use them to butcher up this bear here and smoke the meat. It’ll last longer that way.”

"Dear lady, some food that is not reminiscent of dirt would be a wonderful addition to the evening."

Simon wanders over to the wagon, and acquires a pair of chairs and a table from the wagon, glaring at the merchant when he goes to object. He then sets them up, and offers a seat to Kila.

Fillangus Doddlehop, still asleep, does not object, though having only a small wagon, the closest he has to chairs and a table, would be some logs lying around camp. (Talk about unprepared.)

Seeing the lack of chairs, Simon instead retrieves some logs, suitable for sitting upon.

Oh thank you kind sir Klia giggles. She slips a small dagger from her sleeves and cuts two slices of bread and cheese.Its not much but at least it's not sludge

As Kila giggles, Simon reflects on how annoying that could get, but chooses to ignore it for now, after a bit of a struggle with his inhabiting spirit. No sign of this shows up elsewhere, however.
"No, dear lady, thank you for the wonderful food and wine."
Simon, after ensuring she had her wine and food, raises his mug, and proposes a toast.
"To adventuring. May we survive it!"

Afterwards, he sips at the wine, and is pleasantly surprised at the quality.

May we survive it echoes Klia before taking a long sip from her mug.
She then turns her attention away from the wine to Simon How did you end up working for a man who thinks mud is edible? she asks cautiously incase she is intruding on a sensitive subject.

As Kila asks her question, Simon shrugs.
"The pay seemed to be decent, and the risk, relatively low. I was also headed in that direction, so it made sense to sign up. You?"
Carefully sipping his wine, Simon continues to pay attention to Klia.

Downing the last of the mug before responding Klia said To get around, see things, do stuff and to get payed for accompanying Fillangus? Well it seems like I'm getting payed for getting transport.

Matching Klia's pace of drinking, Simon acquires the bottle of wine, and offers to pour her some more.

"Yes, traveling can be quite a lot of fun, especially with such lovely companions."

Klia smiles gracefully. Ah yes our companions are most agreeable but what is your opinion of our employer?

Simon snorts, conveying his opinion of the merchant most eloquently.
"He is a penny pinching miser. Better food would cost him almost nothing, and yet, he does not. Also, the pay is terrible."

Ryuuhei felt a deep sense of pride to himself. His path to manhood had been shaping up very nicely thus far. Speaking of, seeing his comrade dancing naked threw him a bit off-guard, but he found it funny and entertaining nonetheless.

However, the realization that his peaceful rest was suddenly interrupted dawned on him again, and irked him. Not only that, but he also found it slightly upsetting that, ironically, only their callous companion Santiago even recognized his prowess in battle. After the smoke cleared, everyone is back minding their own business without so much as a pat to the back for a job well done for the one who felled the bear.

Oh, Ryuuhei! Maybe on another day...

He tried to find comfort in gathering firewood for their feast. Bear grilling isn't exactly on Ryuuhei's bucket list, but it sure is something fun that he doesn't get to do quite often.

Casimir

Casimir tries very hard to stay unnoticable after his...antics, and very quickly went back to sit, a little way apart from the others, with his back to the cart. It had been his first time in a life or death situation, and he felt he had coped admirably. He had moved fluidly and without fear, and although he hadn't really had a chance to show off his magical prowess, he had been ready to.

His conduct after the fight was a whole different story, and he was incredibly concerned at the way his adrenaline had spiked, and the actions he had taken.

The following morning you all awake to a horrified shout of "THERE'S A BEAR IN THE CAMP!"

Prior to this outburst you notice Fillangus Doddlehop slowly roll out from under the cart, rub his eyes, and star at the bear corpse for a full half minute before exclaiming hiss discovery.

[Lexin]

"A dead one though. No worries, after all we bit him more than he us..." Says Faelyn in a tired voice, pointing the remains of 'bear barbecue'.

"Anyway, it seems that everyone is awake now, breakfast?" he asks after a while.

"What... WHAT!?" Fillangus Doddlehop exclaimes, at the sound of your non-nonchalant dismissal. Throughout breakfast he eagerly hounds the lot of you for details, and after clapping both Simon and Ryuuhei firmly on the back, he proceeds with his morning ritual of pulling out a large (~3-5lb) bag of silver, handing everyone an extra piece of silver to everyone on top of the two he normally passes out.

Afterwards, somewhat more mournfully he removes the honeyed beans that had attracted the starving creature, and begins cooking them in a pot for breakfast. "I had been meaning to save them or further north when the nights get longer, once everyone's begun to loose spirit..."

Simon looks at the butchered remains of the creature, already armored, although you could have sworn that he was not wearing it when he went out into the bushes for his business, and then back at Fillangus.

"Would you have room on your wagon for some dried bear meat? It has been drying on the fire overnight, and we might want to cook up some more of it for breakfast, before it goes bad."

[drack]

"Sure, Sure." The merchant replies merrily, then frowning slightly he adds "Though that pelt won't be worth enough to bother hauling. Maybe in worse time for armor, but these days it'd cost more to get it cleaned up, and tanned then the wait would cost me."

All the same he removes the teeth and claws while leaving the honeyed beans to the rest of you.

Simon acquires a frying pan, and starts cooking some bear steaks, feeling as though he had truly earned this meal.

The rest of the day passes much like the day before. The woods seem to grow thicker around you, and the bustle of the forest slowly dissolves into silence throughout the day. The sun begins to set, and Fillangus Doddlehop begins stubbornly refusing to admit that the village might not be around the next corner. As night dawns he passes out torches, and soon a thick fog falls, readily dimming the glow. As full night takes over he begins excitedly exclaiming "Ah thIs is it, I' know it anywhere. just behind this tree!" or "I recognize that rock, just another bend" "Over this next hill." every five or so minutes, the only sound in the woods that have slowly become quieter and quieter.

Right around the time some of you are considering clubbing the man over the head and finding a nice cozy bush to sleep in, a light appears up ahead. Still a light in the wilderness could mean anything regardless of Fillangus Doddlehop's insistence that they must be there, and of how he had always known it was there. Somehow the quiet of the darkened woods, and the chill in the air carries a sense of forbearance that covers the group.

"Let us check it first it might be something different than town..." says Faelyn and looks around. "Is anyone good at silent scouting?"

Simon looks down at his clanking, armored form, and shakes his head.

[Lexin]

Faelyn rolls his eyes "No, not you." and then turns to Josie Coperfield "How about you, kiddo?"

Josie grins as his reputation procedes him. He is standing off to the side with his hands in his pockets and his arms so crunched to the side of his chest that he looks even smaller than normal. Still, that dumb smirk plastered across his face despite the task he's being asked to perform. "Whelp, reckon it's time for the runt to earn his keep? Anyone wanna tag along or do I tag alone?"

As you creep into the woods (other people feel free to follow if you'd like), you virtually blend into the landscape becoming indistinguishable from the underbrush.

As you draw nearer you note a human woman crouching in the tall grasses, looking about as if to pick out any observers. Within the town you notice that the shutters and doors like exceptionally solid, while the grass seems to have grown to the knees of an average man. You do notice an Inn&Tavern at the fir side of town with the words "Prince's Bane" written above the door in elegant script. Within there seems to be the hushed rapture of tails told, though despite the silence of the night the human female doesn't seem to notice you. She herself hunched at the treeline.

Hesitating at first, considering a few tell-tell signs of mishappenings, Josie nevertheless tries to move a little closer, within reason, and see if he can make out what the hub-bub at the saloon is, if the noise is joyful or anxious.

If it doesn't appear that this can be safely achieved (based on distance from the gates and the seemingly careless guard) or if Josie manages to achieve this, he will double back to the camp.

As you glide through the woods you remain unnoticed, though the woman vanishes from sight into the tall grass, perhaps you had just been lucky to notice her before, though you still hear her breathing. As the wind change you catch a snatch of the story. "...he to go forth. As such he sent his vast hoard, and while many died he managed to smash the castle of Fenhheights Hill. After..." As the wind stills, the rest is lost.
