"I don't even know ho is still alive anymore."

Shiela stands up and starts pacing around the room.

"I am not even sure if it was them. The Russian on the note was so bad, like the person writing it copied from computer or something."

[Bennosuke]

"It is a start. May I have your phone number? I will call you when I've found something. If there is nothing else, I would like to get started on my hunt. I will contact you when I've found something, hopefully by tomorrow night."

[Lentrax]

"Here. Is number for new phone. I will send you a new number tomorrow." Shiela scrawls a series of numbers on a piece of paper.

With that, Shiela leaves the mans apartment so he can... hunt?

Which leaves her in the odd position of finding somewhere to go.

The Pleasure House? No, they will be watching it.
Her home will certainly be watched.

A hotel? Maybe in Newark?

Shiela decides to head for the train station. She should still be able to catch a ride into Newark.

Shelia is escorted back into the hallway and takes the elevator back down to the lobby. A new bellhop is at the door. He is a young man, well built and dressed in the same uniform as the previous. He tips his hat and smiles as Sheila comes walking down the marble hallway. He opens the door her as she steps out into the New York City Evening.

A black Cadillac is idling right outside the building. The windows are tinted so that you cannot see inside. It is dark out and there is almost no one else out on the street. The window rolls down slowly.

Manny is behind the wheel. He smiles at you, "get in. Luca wants me to take you to one of our "apartments" here in the city."

[Lentrax]

"Right." as the car pulls away, Shiela settles back and reflects on the events of the day.

"Good to see you on your feet, Manny. What of Saddie? Is she... her voice trails off not wanting to finish the sentence.

[Bennosuke]

"She's okay, we took her to the hospital and told the doctors her boyfriend beat her up. What did you think of the monster?"

[Lentrax]

Shiela nods. It is good to hear that Saddie is alive. It feels as though part of her burden has lifted.

"Monster? What are you talking about? You mean Vince? He seems... Shiela thinks back on her conversation with the man.

She didn't take too much stock of her surroundings, she was to busy thinking of running.

"He seems different, somehow. I can't quite finger what it is though."

[Bennosuke]

"He's a dangerous man. I heard he once ripped a man's face straight off his skull. Just glad he works for Luca I guess.". He drives the Cadillac through the park onto the East side, pulling into an underground garage beneath another monolithic apartment building. "We're gonna get whoever is after you, don't you worry girl. Then maybe after that you and I can go out to dinner."

[Lentrax]

Where do you get such stories, Manny? Ripping a mans face off his skull.

As he again asks for a date, Shiela gives him a very sobering look.

Not many have taken bullets for me. Perhaps we will. Shiela opens her car door.

Shall we?

[Bennosuke]

Manny leads you, blushing a little to himself, to the elevator. The two of you ride up in silence, going up and up to the top floor of the building (21). The hallway is lined by a red carpet and the walls are a stark eggshell white. He leads you to room number 8, and taking a key from his pocket opens up your room.

Handing you the key Manny says, "This is where you will stay for now. There are ten rooms on this floor, each one belongs to one of Luca's men so you should be pretty safe, and they know you are here. I've gotta go for the night, I'm sure your pretty tired. Maybe dinner tomorrow night?"

[Lentrax]

Perhaps so. Good night Manny.

Stepping inside the Apartment, Shiela notes features like doors, windows, and lines of sight to other buildings. Taking off her suit jacket, Shiela goes into the bathroom, and finding it stocked to a satisfactory level, begins running a bath.

Her Glock is never more than a foot away from her. Luca may have protection for her here, but you never know. The Russians are ruthless, and will not stop until she is caught for execution or killed in an 'accident.'

After her bath, Shiela will go try and lay down to some of the worst sleep she could remember having since she was a scared little girl...

Scene II

You awaken to the sound of someone saying your name. Fumbling with sleep and the dark, you remove the glock from under your pillow, searching desperately for the source of the noise.

"Good morning Sheila. I have some information for you when you are ready to put that gun away."

You reach over and turn on the bedside lamp. The light hurts your eyes at first, but as you adjust you realize that Vince Maccali is sitting, rather casually, on your open window sill.

[Lentrax]

Shiela tosses and turns in the bed. Her dreams dark and disturbing. The sweat soaked sheets jerk as she awakens, grabbing her pistol. Her other hand fumbles with the bedside table, until she finds the switch for the lamp. Flicking it on, she lowers her pistol when she realizes who is in her room. Her sense of modesty finally kicks in, and she grabs the sheet, pulling it up to cover her bare form.

"You could have knocked."

[Bennosuke]

"Things aren't that simple.". Vince hops down from the window sill. He has on a red satin button down and black slacks, and he shuffles over to the side of your bed very slowly. "I'm not sure you should be trusting Luca." He puts a finger to his mouth in a shushing motion, before you can say anything, "I think he may have sold you out."

[Lentrax]

But... But Luca is one who took me after the turf war. He is the one who helped me get started on a better life. Why do this to me now? He wouldn't.

[Bennosuke]

"Ya, but are you part of the family, or were you just of use to them? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Luca sold you out to the Ruskies."

Vince moves quickly to the door and makes sure it is locked, "Now you're welcome to stay here if you want, but I don't think you're safe."

[Lentrax]

I don't know. How do I know I can trust you? After all, why would Luca send me to you in the first place if he was the one who sold me out?

[Bennosuke]

Vince smiles, a rather self satisfied look playing across his face. He is leaning against the door, "My, you are smart, and so very pretty." In a flash he has crossed the room, leaning over you in bed, his vice like grip wrenching your gun arm so that you lose the weapon, "And potentially quiet dangerous! You know, I never was given my payment, and I do want to help you with your Russian problem."

He climbs atop the bed sheets, straddling your legs, so that it is hard to move away or kick, and pins your other arm. "I know you won't listen, but it's best if you don't fight it."

You can feel your heart racing. Terrible thoughts run through your mind as to what he is going to do to you. Then, he lowers his mouth to one of your arms, and you can feel his teeth sink in where the flesh is soft. There is a rush of pain followed immediately by a numbing pleasure.

Feel free to roll to try and resist The Kiss. And I'm very sorry I've been gone so long, part of it has been work, and part of it was me wanting to work out part of this game (what happens next in the most cinematic way possible.

Shiela recoils in horror as Vince grabs her by the arm.

As he grabs her other arm, a scared 10 year old Russian girl sobs in horror on a cold winters day in St. Petersburg

Mama, please.

The men came from nowhere. She and her sister just managed to get away from the angry shopkeeper. They stole a loaf of bread and some apples, and as she and Talya caught their breath, they tore hungrily into the apples.

Then the bag came over her head. Talya, run! A muffled thump and a cry of pain, tells Shiela that Talya kicked a man in the groin. She hopes.

Vince pins her legs down, and she wants to scream.

A sharp slap across the face silences her.
Quiet, Bitch. You're gonna like this. this man pulled his pants down and did what he wanted. As he did he started beating Shiela. As the months dragged onto into years, she became acquiescent. She accepted her fate.

As Vince sank his teeth into arm, she wanted to cry out. Instead a low moan escaped her lips. She didn't know what he had done, but she was enjoying it. The pure unadulterated pleasure in it. She could feel her life slipping from her.

But it didn't matter. She died a long time ago, on a cold day in St Petersburg.

[Bennosuke]

You sink deeper and deeper into this feeling as you are flooded with past memories. The electric shock like pleasure pulses from your arm, down into your chest. The world begins to sink around you, and you can feel your body becoming lighter and lighter, the memories becoming more and more distant. As if you were too drunk and the world were spinning, you open your eyes to try and find stability, but nothing seems to stay in place. But you don't fight it, too much has happened today, too much has happened in your long life. And then, as if entering a dark tunnel, your vision begins to telescope and shrink.

You awaken to the sound of Vince's voice, "Sheila, now is not the time to die. I want to give you something. I want to take you away from all this pain, and I want to give you the ability fight. You deserve to take revenge on the Russians. I know who called the hit on you today, and I know where he is. I want to give you all this. All you need to do is tell me that you want it. All you need to do is ask for what I have to give you and you shall be granted power and knowledge and eternity." Your heart is racing in your chest, and now that you think about it, you have this tight squeezing pain behind your sternum. It feels like you can't breath, like you might vomit, and the pain is shooting into your left arm, not the one that was bitten, the other one. It feels like you may die!

[Lentrax]

Yes. Yes! yessss. The last was a soft moan. She could feel her release. She could feel everything sliding away. Then she feels the pain.

But she doesn't care. Over it all is hot burning need.

The need for passion. The need for desire.

The need for revenge.

Yes! Give it to me!

[Bennosuke]

With a quick movement Vince ran his wrist across his fangs. Yes, they were fangs, two long, dog like canines reaching down past his other teeth. Aggressively, the thrust the bleeding wrist into your face, "Drink!". The blood is salty and metallic. It does not come easily from his wrist, and there is no pulse, such that you are forced to suck, and suck, pulling at his wrist for this taste, this life.

Shiela gags on the thick fluid, as Vince holds his wrist up to her mouth. But soon she is sucking at his wrist, drawing as much of the blood into her as she can.

She wants it.

Needs it.

She wants more. She wants Lucas blood. He sold her out, and she will have is blood.

Literally.

[Bennosuke]

The feeling of total ecstasy is over before it began. Vince wrenches his arm from you're grip, pushing your face back with his free hand. For a split instant you feel the urge to bite his face off, and a feral growl escapes your curled lips. Then you are back in your body, in control again.

Vince has hopped back off your bed, the wound in his wrist already healed, with just the remains of some glistening, beautiful blood. He looks at you, almost with disdain, "Now listen up Sheila. Luca sold you to the Russians, and he tried to have me captured, when I went searching for the Russians. There was an ambush. I want to help you, but you need to help me." As he says this he becomes almost radiant, a beautiful commanding presence. For the first time in many, many long years you feel like you can let your guard down. Vince is somehow like your father, like your lover, but it's all so confusing, and your body aches.

This is not a hunger you are familiar with; there is no pain in your belly, no salivation or headache. You feel dry and tight, like every muscle in your body is threatening to charly horse. The tightness is worst in your chest, it's sufficating, and you can't breath. No wait, you aren't breathing!

[Lentrax]

Shiela growls as the arm is taken from her. She looks into Vince's eyes and wants to claw the eyes out.

Then he speaks to her. His words reach into her and she feels a stirring. She wants him to keep speaking, wants to believe him.

So she does. She goes to him, clutching his arm in both of hers. Then for the briefest of moments, she realizes what she had just done. She looks at her arm, then back at his. Pure horror fills her mind. Unadulterated, unyielding terror at what her body is telling her.

"What did you do?"

[Bennosuke]

Vince smiles, "I'm not sure you would believe me if I told you. I assume you have heard of упырь (upyr)?" He motions for you to sit down, regardless of your obedience, he continues, "I've given you power and every night from here on into eternity if you are smart. Together we will take down both The Russians and Luca's mob."

[Lentrax]

Vampire? That is a child's sto-

Shiela looks at her arm again. Perhaps it isn't just a child's story. Not anymore.

I want his blood. He took my life from me, a life he helped me build. I want his in turn. What must we do?

[Bennosuke]

"First we must leave", he says walking to the window. Vince has one leg out when he turns to you. Looking around the room, he points to the bed, "Do you think you could lift this bed? Try."

You try to lift the bed, but you already knew it would be impossible. "Fine, come with me." You walk over to the window, and at the urges of this strange man find yourself clinging to his back as he scales the stone wall. Up and up you climb, in the dark but warm night. You tell yourself not to look down, but you do. Everything is so far away, and on Vince's back, you feel like you are hanging two feet away from the wall, out in space. You hold on as tight as you can and after what seems like hours he has pulled you to the roof top. "From here we take the elevator back down. I suppose first I should let you ask me some questions, but make it quick. There is a lot to do and I am very very hungry. "

Shiela looks down and experiences vertigo as she feels like she is floating upward.

When he gives her the opportunity to ask questions she has a couple ready.

How can you climb a building without any equipment? Why did we go up? Why not just, I don't know, fly away or something? And if we take the elevator won't they call Luca and tell him I am leaving?
