Gezina, I'm working on a rat for you, she's turning out more cute then smelly at the moment though.

I decided to go closer to the 'monster' rather then the 'human' proportions.

Here you go:


I kinda like this 2nd version: Rat Sans Rags,
although mainly cause its a bit cuter & shows off the work I did on the body.

If anybody is wondering I am using inkscape.

I am using transparencies for the shading (tinted green for jillion, I pictured her in a forest, red for wanda, she's probably worring privately in a tent)

The extra thick outer line is a bigger challenge for that I select all the parts that border the image then I copy them and "combine" the copied peices into a single object. This new object I place behind the picture & give thicker lines. (in this case 4 px) This way the exterior lines are thiker well the interior are thinner like in the comic.

Hows this (boxed to show white flames):

I was going for a flying towards the viewer look, with a lot of fore-shortening to fit the whole figure into the avatar...
it is too late at night for me to decide if I am entirely happy with the results... the whole eyes sewn shut thing makes it difficult, because the eyes are a large part of both OoTS and Erfworld style.

Anyway I hope you like it.

..echum. Pardon. Got the scanner working. So. Here is some paper/pencil/marker work put into a scanner program only, cause I don't have Photoshop at my parents house. But I thought I'd toss up some things to back up my claims that I am drawing, lol.

...and now for some explanation. In the top left, we have yours truly, Erf-i-tized. Unfortunately, I still can't convey the proper menacing feeling that truly embodies a gerbil horde leader. However, I got the cuteness spot on.

Top right is Dweath v3.0... I'm still having trouble with the head and face/no face, so we'll just wait and see on that one. But that's the pose I'm going for. And I LOVE the scythe on this guy. prefect shape and size for Erfworld weaponry, methinks.

Middle left is a gobwin I swiped from Jami's first avatar in this thread. Was for practice, but I think I got it right. Minus, perhaps, the eyes, which look less like black circles and more like anime to me. Meh.

Middle right is just some guy, who may or may not look anything like me, but he is sitting in front of a tablet and plotting his next peice of art.

And of course, below that is a Dwagon. Not sure I like this guy, but meh. He's on the page.

...if any of you adventuresome photshopping sorts would like to color for me while I am busy being bored, what with Zelda being so drab and lifeless (sarcasm), please shoot me a PM, and I'll get you the creature of your choice by itself. Please do not color without my consent.

if possible, i would like to commision an erfatar of my namesake. Mauril is an odd hybrid of a dwarf and elf, refered to affectionately as a dwelf (which really seems to fit into erfworld). he is shorter than man sized, but about the same build (somewhere between elf and dwarf, obviously). he has a well groomed black beard and long black hair. if you color the eyes, they are grey. skin color is a light tanish color. he tends toward dark colors, reds, greens and blues. nothing specific about clothing, just general clothes, becuase he mostly wears medium armor, but i would like him to have a "relaxed" feel, not his battle ready pose.
im willing to open this up to any artist, but i really like what urodivoi has done with his skeleton and with khantalas's erfatar.

I'm quite happy with this guy... except he doesn't seem to invoke the whole fantasy world feeling. He could use some props to signify 'medieval type fantasy' a horse in the background would be good but would not fit... more frills on his shirt? his sword stuck in the ground beside him? a quiver of arrows on his back? Or I could just put him in his medium armor.

Well I will not make any changes tonight but am open to suggestions. (Mauril Everleaf if you like him as he is just say so)
