    Oh, I somehow completely missed Alex's religion. My bad.

    Anyways, I think I need to come up with some extra vampiric advantages. Hmmm...

    Hypnotic Gaze: You possess the legendary ability to crush the will of those around you. +2 on allure rolls, provided you can make eye contact with the target. Once per episode, you can simply order someone else out of the scene. They don't get to roll, they just walk away at your command.

    Shapechange: You can become a bat, a wolf, or mist as you see fit. +2 to on Luck to get into or out of places, and +2 on conflict to escape trouble.

    Children of the Night: You can summon up a pack of wolves (wild dogs) from the most improbable of places, or an equally improbable swarm of bats. +2 on rolls where a pack of animals could conceivably be of use.

    Supernatural Strength: +3 on conflict rolls involving physical strength.

    Yeah, making Supernaturals just plain better is very, very bad. +3 mods and penalties to other people at the same time is poor design choice. Playing with the dice more is one thing, but I strongly dislike this revision.

    Not horrible, though rolls to manipulate NPCs always feel useless. If we're going to still suggest those, there needs to be a section in the How to GM about not all rolls directly affecting the protagonist.

Cannot be taken for the same attribute as power of darkness

    Power of Darkness: Your true power can only manifest itself away from the irritating rays of the sun. Chose a roll when the character is created. +2 to that roll at night or in darkness, but a -1 on the same roll in sunlight or other bright light. Celestials may not take this ability. Cannot be taken for the same attribute as Solar Powered.

    (Note:It is possible to have Solar Powered and Power of Darkness on the same character, but they must be for different abilities. A character might have Solar Skill and Lunar Luck, but may not have Solar and Lunar Skill.)

    Touchy Spot: Let it suffice to say that your biology includes a bit of an inconvenient erogenous zone. Choose a body part; you receive +2 on Allure rolls and -1 on Skill rolls in scenes in which that part is touched.

    You are a blessed being from on high, whether that be an angel or a goddess. Your love for the protagonist is pure as the driven snow, and you will pursue him with all the warmth and compassion befitting a benevolent angel.

    White Magic: Among your holy powers is magical healing, along with other benevolent effects. +2 on rolls that magically aid or help another being. White Magic negates and is negated by the power of Black Magic when used in the same scene.

    Compassion: You believe in peace, not conflict, and seeing others find happiness warms your heart greatly. Thrice per episode, you may give +2 on another girl’s roll. If she receives VP on that roll for any reason, you receive a VP bonus equal to half of what your target received, rounding up.

    Purity: Your heavenly presence is not as marred and ridden with imperfections as many of your competitors. You no longer have a weak roll, and abilities that target weak rolls no longer affect you. In addition, your strong roll is increased by +2.

    Serenity: Your rise above the dirty tricks and fighting of your competitors to attain a peaceful state of enlightenment. +2 on non-Conflict rolls if you had the option of making a Conflict roll instead.

    Heaven's Grace: Twice per episode, you may take 4 on any roll...AFTER the roll is made. Like Graceful, it cannot be used with odd, foresight, big gamble, or other such powers. Negative modifiers to the roll are negated, even if a weak roll is involved.

    Miracle: Unleashing the full strength of your heavenly power, you auto succeed at any unopposed roll once per episode. Counts as the highest success possible.

    Faustian Pact: You can grant devilish gifts to your competitors, knowing all the while that the cost for a demon’s services is always greater than it first appears. Twice per episode, you may give +2 on another girl’s roll. On the next roll in which both you and your target participate, she takes -2 on her roll and you gain +2 on yours

    Black Magic: +2 on rolls that involve harming another being. Black Magic counters and is countered by White Magic in any scene both are used.

    Speak of the Devil: They say that calling your name will cause you to appear, but when it comes to your beloved, you’re always ready to show up. +2 on Luck rolls if your name was spoken by ANYBODY in the last scene. (If other players start referring to you as 'she who must not be named', that is intentional.)

    Temptation: Your charms are the perfect tool for drawing the protagonist into your grasp, assuming you don’t put him off in the process. Twice per episode, you may take +2 on an unopposed Allure roll. If you are successful, you also take +2 on your next roll. If you fail, you take -3 on your next roll.

    Torment: All that time punishing sinners has really taught you how to use people’s least favorite things against them. You inflict an additional -2 penalty on any girls using their weak roll (not including yourself).

    Power of the Damned: Sin is your meat and drink. +2 on any roll where one of the other competitors does something generally considered unethical.

    You are an unspeakable elder god whose visage would drive mortals mad with but a glance. Luckily for the others, you’ve decided to take on the form of a cute high school girl, at least as long as your ineffable whims drive you to pursue the protagonist.

    A Thousand Faces: You can manifest yourself as any number of unspeakable forms and avatars of enormous power while on this world, although most of them aren’t pretty. Twice per episode, by voluntarily taking a 1 on your d6 on any Allure roll, you may take a 6 on your d6 on your next non-Allure roll.

    Crawling Chaos: You giggle with delight and thrive on the discord and conflict your competitors sow in their ruthless attempts to win the protagonist’s heart. In any scene in which at least two other girls make Conflict rolls, you get +2 to any roll.

    Shadow out of Time: A judicious bit of body-swapping and mental projection lets you send your competitors down the paths of your choosing. Once per episode, in a scene where multiple rolls are available to choose between, you may dictate which rolls all of the other girls must choose. Their respective players may still decide which advantages to apply to the chosen rolls.

    Shining Trapezohedron: As the protagonist gazes into this artifact, your power increases exponentially. You may auto succeed at any unopposed roll once per ep. Counts as the highest success possible.

    Super Tentacle Hentai Porn: You have tentacles. Lots of tentacles. +2 on any erotic situation involving females.

    You cannot comprehend the true form: Once per episode, you reveal your true form. Every opposing player must roll two dice and take the worst. This is identical to Dazzling Display for all interactions.

If you choose to bite a competitor, you gain a +2 on your conflict roll, and they take a -2 to their next roll as they are drained of blood.

    Vampiric Drain: You grow strong from the life force of your defeated rivals. Whenever you get the highest result on an opposed roll involving at least two other girls, you gain +2. Vampiric Drain cannot be used on consecutive opposed rolls. There must be at least one scene between uses (no feedback loops)

    Catlike Reflexes: All that chasing the laser dot has really limbered you up. +2 on Skill rolls involving feats of agility or speed.

    Hiss!: Arching your back is a little awkward, but you still look plenty mean when you get really angry. You may take +2 on any Conflict roll, but doing so imposes a -2 penalty on your next Allure roll.

    Nine Lives: You have a knack for getting out of the stickiest situations without a scratch. Once per episode, auto succeed at any unopposed conflict roll. Counts as highest success possible.

    If your fine with limiters, why aren't you fine with the limiters putting them on the same level as mortals.

    And we are saying that is bad. Supernaturals should be for more supernatural games. They shouldn't be winning everything with ease. Look at many harem anime with mundanes and supernaturals. How often does the supernatural actually win compared to the mundane?

    Well sure if you compare a generic mortal to a protangist angel.

    However if we compare an eldritch horror to Old Man Henderson.... The circumstances are somewhat more even.

    Angelalex, this is the same issue as you're date VP thing yesterday. It's terrible for my game play for the four supernatural characters to all receive buffs, and the two humans to be at a massive disadvantage.


    More abilities, for them so that they are equal in number to a mortal class is fine and good. Stronger abilities are not.

    From a story perspective this is fine. From a game play mechanic this is not necessarily fine. If you want the supernaturals to basically autowin against normals, fine, but if you want a game where all the characters have the same chance of winning Protag-kun mechanically, then it's not a good idea to make supernaturals better than normals. You can fluff it however you want but mechanically there shouldn't be any clear superiority.

    No, it just has the 'after the roll' instead of a 'before the roll.' Certainly that's not too much, considering it's just the 'old way' of using Graceful to begin with.

    Each of the supernatural archetype now has a minimum of 6 abilities.

    After roll is a bit OP. You change the rolls from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 6.

    Sure, but you can only do it twice. Moreover, from the law averages....

    A standard d6 roll averages 3.5 (21/6). A before graceful roll averages 4 (24/6). An after graceful roll averages 4.5 (27/6). So even after graceful only adds +1 to your average.

    By contrast, compare Foresight, which averages 5 if you pick odds. (6+6+6+6+4+2=30)

    Speaking of which, I meant to fix that. Foresight, if you pick evens and get it right, should give you a total of 7 on the d6.

    (6+6+6+6+4+2)=(1+3+5+7+7+7)

    Now Fixed so evens and odds yield the same average on Foresight.

    The thing is, consistency is better than average. I can roll a d100 and have an average of 50.5. I can also just take 50. When DCs are commonly in the 5-7 range, being certain of getting a 4 is better than still having a chance of failing. Also, Grace isn't expended until after, while Foresight can still turn out to be a total dud.

    Greater risk, greater reward. Statistics should usually back that up.

    By the away, the statistical average of a +2 to the roll is...5.5. So don't underestimate those +2s, even if the variation is relatively wide.

    As a side note, Lady of Darkness is now renamed Power of Darkness and moved to universal supernatural advantages.

    Yeah with how much attention the supernaturals are getting I don't really feel a need to toss my hat in the ring until I at least clean up the work on the normal . That said, Illven's Thralldom is pretty much exactly what you want to see from a supernatural archetype - not necessarily strong outside of certain situations, but insanely flavorful.

    Sexbot: You were programmed with knowledge of every sex technique known to mankind and the porn videos to execute them. It also helps you can't get pregnant. +2 on allure rolls in erotic situations.

    Embarrassing Sensors: Your sensors pick up biological changes in your competitors, indicating when they are hot for the protagonist. Mentioning this embarrasses them all into leaving him alone. Twice per ep, -2 on all allure rolls except your own.

    Random Number Generator: 'Luck' where you are concerned is no such thing. It is simply manipulation of more variables then non computers can hope to comprehend. Twice per ep, substitute a luck roll for a skill roll.
