Aidan looks at the two Pokemon and says, "Elly, take the golem with a Water Gun. Hisei, Fire Spin on the Lancer." The two Pokemon move forward, Hisei spinning a ribbon of fire around its tails before launching it at the apparent Steel type while Eleara fires a powerful burst of water at the golem.

"Well, if I had to guess, it's because one of my coworkers nearly killed a man yesterday 'cause he was dumb enough to use poison in a friendly fist fight, didn't check for poisoning after while making sure no one mugged the bloke until noticing the interesting shades of purple he was turning, then decided that slipping away from the cops was better than risking time in prison and seeing if he was a very pretty boy or not. Turns out it wasn't such a great idea as he just got hauled off by Nationals, so Byron probably figures we've exceeded our mukup quota for town."
He sighs angrily, before trying to go back to a smile.
"So, long story short, more of the same for this group."

Ahhh poo. I'm gonna miss you! Like, a lot. A lot a lot. Its now noticeable she's still sitting on top of you, straddling your, ahem, waist.

Ya sure. Rolls! The man released a tiny blue elephant. Use Take Down Rolls! The elephant chaged at Fortino, dealing 63 Physical Normal damage.
Aidan
The Lancer erected a pale blue shield which completely blocked the twisting flames. However, Eleara's water gun hit the golem square and it looked like it stung mighty fierce. The Lancer quickly retreated down the narrow hole infront of it, whilst the Golum fired off a series of floating bombs at Eleara, striking without error for 39 Physical Steel damage before dropping down the large chute in front of it.

"Alright, go after them, guys! Hisei, get ready to light it up with an Ember! Elly, Water Gun on yours!" The two Pokemon dash forward, Hisei only managing to reach the edge of the hole on her side while Eleara leaps down the hole after the golem, releasing a powerful blast of water upon landing.

Eleara's blast ripped through the Golett. By no means should it still be standing, but it refused to go down. Unsteadily, it hopped down the last bit of chute, its fist glowing with fierce energy. A small lens around its eye adjusted as it flew down, and the punch connected with explosive force, dealing 77 Physical Fighting Damage and Confusing Eleara. The Escavalier was no where to be seen.

Eddie pushes himself up a bit before pausing. Well, nothing ventured...besides, he really was going to miss her, she was nice in personality and looks. So he hugs her, and puts his favorite hat on her head.
"Closest guy I ever had to a real dad gave me this when I was old enough to be an official member of the Family. He ain't around any more, an' we aren't picture people, so I this is all I've got of him. Kept it from bein' burnt, shot, stabbed...whole lotta ****. Know it isn't much, and is probably a bit stupid sounding, but mind holding it 'til the heat dies down enough for me to visit longer? Promise I will."
Maybe he was getting soft due to the muk that kept going down, but it'd be nice to be remembered fondly by someone if he didn't make it.

Aidan frowns as he loses sight of the Escavalier, and calls out, "Track him down, Hisei." The Vulpix nods, leaping down the hole and running down the tunnel even as Aidan orders, "Elly, shake it off and take him down - Aurora Beam!" The Vaporeon attempts to focus enough to blast the Golett with a beam of chilling light.

The girl picks up the ratty old hat, gripping it her hands delicately. As you move out from under her, she slowly stands with you. She carefully avoids your eyes. You'll be back right? I know your with Byron. I know what kind of stuff he gets people into. I know... she trailed off, nervously twisting the hat in her hand.
Aidan
The Aurora Beam tears into the Golett, cracking its metallic shell. Even then, it stood if you could call it that. Once before you fall, Thunderpunch! Electricity crackles through its fist before slamming into Eleara for 53 Physical Electric damage. In its place, Byron sent out a Lucario near you. The Escavilier still out of sight, if not out of mind.

Aidan frowns as Eleara falls from the final attack, and recalls the Vaporeon, eyeing the Lucario pensively. Finally nodding to himself, he releases Xylik and calls out, "Hisei... don't try and keep chasing him. Come back topside, but be ready to use Ember if he shows up near you." The Vulpix nods, making its way back towards the hole it jumped down.

Smart. Don't play on my terms. Water Pulse! The Lucario took a step forward, releasing a cascade of water over Xylik for 66 Special Water Damage and Confusing the Gligar. Still no sign of the Escavalier.

Aidan frowns as he sees the surge of water released, and calls out, "Don't go down without a fight, Xylik - Quick Attack!" The Gligar darts over the gap to slam the Lucario with its tail before it falls unconscious, and Aidan recalls it, releasing Zeus near the far end of the field.

The blow was hardly worth the Lucario's notice. It shifts just a bit towards Zues, sending an inky black orb of energy at the Machop dealing 64 Special Ghost damage and Lowering Zues Special Defence.

"That's something I can never promise, Karina. Ain't gonna lie and say I'll live through this whole thing. Seen too many go down for good to promise it won't be me next, and that's before I got brought in for this gig. Honestly, I never really tried at anything causea this."
He gives her a hug, close and tight, before pulling back with a grin.
"Then again, I've been surviving all sortsa stuff long before this war started and this definitely isn't the first hostile takeover that I've gotten mixed up in, though it's definitely the biggest. I like my odds."

"Got you..." Aidan mutters, before calling out, "Hisei, topside and Fire Spin the Lucario! Zeus, Focus and close in - but stay outside its Water Pulse range!" The Vulpix hops out of the hole onto the upper level, twirling a ribbon of flame around its tails which it sends out around the Lucario while the Machop focuses and moves around the hole.

The swirling flames encapsulate the Lucario, trapping it in place. Suddenly, the Evascalier shot out of the large chute near Zues, impaling the Machop on its lance for 54 Physical Flying Damage. The Lucario shot a blast of energy at Hisei but it went wide.

Aidan frowns as Zeus falls from the Escavalier's attack, and says as he recalls it, "Alright, then... essentially 3 against 1... Hisei, let's try to even things up a bit! Ember on the bug, then take cover on the lower level!" The Vulpix responds by firing a ball of flame at the lancer Pokemon before hopping back down the hole.

The ember connected with the Escavalier, but instead of burning its carapace, a thin vaneer shone and popped instead. Shouldn't have given up the chase so easily. The Escavalier disappeared down a chute, whilst the Lucario kept a key eye out for the other chutes.

"Eh, if I have to take him apart bit by bit, I'm fine with that. In the meantime... Hisei, another Fire Spin on the Lucario!" The Vulpix hops back up to the top level, sending another rope of flame spiralling at the Lucario.

With that, Eddie leans in and gives a kiss, somewhat awkward from never really having anyone to actually care about before. After a while, he pulls away with a smile.
"Think I now know what I'm doing with any shore leave I get. Yeah, I promise, Karina."

The Lucario fell to the Fire Spin, to be replaced with a Frillish.

The Esca did its thing and teh Frillish is slower. So top init, Hisei is up.

Aidan smirks as the Lucario falls, and says, "Now... here's where things will start to get interesting. Hisei, Energy Ball then take cover!" The Vulpix forms a sphere of emerald flame amongst its tails, and hurls it at the Frillish before hopping back down the hole and moving just a bit into the tunnel.

Aidan nods, and says, "Watch for the bug, Hisei - be ready to take it out." The Vulpix backs towards one of the tunnel walls, poised so that it can watch both ends and ready to strike if needed.

The Frillish continued its slow crawl, this time its wounds miraculously disappearing.

"Hmm... that complicates things slightly..." Aidan says, before nodding to himself. "Hisei... I know you can pull this off. Back topside, and Energy Ball the Frillish." The Vulpix darts back through the tunnel and hops up to the top level of the arena, firing off another ball of emerald fire as soon as it lands.

The ball of energy once again blasted the Frillish. Suddenly, zooming out of the large chute, the Escavalier charged its massive plume lowered dealing 65 Physical Normal damage, whilst the Frillish shot out a blast of scalding water dealing 46 Special Water damage.

Eddie holds her close, planting another kiss when he gets a chance before getting an impish grin.
"Now then, I believe there's only so much time before I head out, so where shall we begin?"
May as well enjoy her company as long as possible here, after all...

Aidan frowns as the two attacks batter Hisei, the Vulpix falling under the assault. "Well," he says as he recalls the Fire-type, "looks like this one goes to you as well."
