Alex looks to his guides, he had been so used to Kara doing this kind of stuff he felt useless in this situation unless he walked right into it which would be foolish.

"I believe it might be prudent to make attempts to conceal ourselves. I can throw up an illusion of us to distract whoever they may be, if they are hostile."

@Those who approached the source of the noise.

There is a clearing here. A few badly chopped stumps litter the area, no more than 3ft. tall.

A large brutish man , about 11ft tall stands with a greataxe next to a group of six broad shouldered humanoids with greatswords. These humanoids have olive skin and piggish faces.

Two of them are hacking a tree with the swords and are 20ft away from the giant.

The other four are spread out around the clearing with a wagon loaded with logs. Each of them are spread out 40 ft from each other, making a perimeter.

They also have greatswords in hand.

"Why aren't you chopping? You got an axe and you're big!" One of the orcs complains as he struggles to get the blade out of the tree.

The giant laughs.

"It is because I am big that you are chopping..Ha!"

Violet rapidly flies back to the others, and tells them what she saw, with wide eyes, amazed at what she had seen.
"There's... there's Things! Chopping down the trees! One of them is really, really big! They shouldn't be here!"

Archadious listens to Violets report and thinks for a moment.

"Hmm, sounds like theres a giant there. So should we attempt to negotiate peacefully first? Or do these people seem like the kind of people that would attack us on sight?"

Violet looks shocked. Of course they should talk. How else would they drive them away?
"We can probably scare them off, just by being here, letting them know that they fey defend their forest! That will work, right?"
For some reason, you get the sense that Violet does not normally do things like this.

"Well I suppose that we could try scaring them away, but I doubt they are very scared of fey at this point.
Can you try telling me more about these people chopping down the trees?"
Archadious asks, trying to ascertain more about the people there, before making a decision.

Violet explains what she saw, albeit in a confusing fashion.
"There were lots of them, and their skin was green, like olives. Isn't that a silly color for skin? Olives are not yummy at all! They have gigantic swords, and the really big one has a really, really gigantic axe!"

As Irraly hears the situation she looks at the others. Let me take this, if it looks like things are going bad come in otherwise do not act. She says rasining her head high like her highborn heritage and walks into the glade. Seeing the creatures a scowl comes onto her face as she looks at them, a glare that would melt bones. What are you doing here Slaves? Did I not send you to go and attack the city, idiots. GET OVER HERE NOW AND STOP CUTTING DOWN USELESS TREES! WE HAVE ELVES TO KILL TONIGHT. Irraly says in goblin looking at all the creatures before her as if they were under her, as if they were worth less then the mud on her boots. I SAID STOP!!!!! She screams again demanding them to obey her.

Seeing Irraly heading towards the clearing, Violet follows, hoping that she would be able to scare away the creatures.
To get a view, she hides in a nearby tree, peeking out from behind a leaf.

@Irraly: As the group decides on what to do, you scoff at petty male talk and walk towards the glade, through the badly chopped trees as the orcs turn around as they see the obsidian maiden walk up to them demanding orders on an elf city.

The thundering steps of the giant rumble the glade as his shadow covers you.

The orcs begin to casually walk around the giant and effectively staying a prudent distance from you.

"Elf woman! Who are you? And what elf city do you speak of? We are here on behalf of the Autumn Mistress. She never mentioned an elf city."

As The Giant addresses her Irraly turns her gave on him, a look that could kill something lesser. How Dare you insolent Scum talk to a high priestess of Lolth like that. When the others get here I will have you skinned for such disobedience. Irraly says rage in her eyes as she implies there are other Drow in the woods. You are worthless in the eyes of house Kalkyos. Killing you for such words would be easy, I think it would be much better to let my mothers whip bite into your flesh instead though. She says glaring at them all as she speaks, not answering a single question they ask, after all why would a noble answer a slave.

As word spreads to him that their are orcs and at least a Giant ahead he gets ready to charge in only to be stopped by the drow. Nodding his head he stays where he is waiting for some sign to tell him to charge in.

"Of course,"
Archadioua thinks,
"Leave it to Irraly to ruin any chance of surprise."

He looks at the others.
"Well, it seems our drow friend has decided to opt for negotiations and intimidation first. I vote that we attempt to remain hidden and circle the clearing in case anything happens."

He casts a quick spell to increase his agility.
He then begins to move closer to the clearing, circling it to enter the clearing between two of the orcs while attempting to stay hidden.

@Irraly: As the giant listens to your threats you watch him heft his great axe as the orcs begin to cautiously move closer, staying 40ft away from you and each 20 ft. apart from each other.

"Dark elf woman, we do not know of this city you speak of."

You turn around and see three goblins with short swords.

"She will make a good trophy for the Autumn Mistress, though."

You activate your anklets of translocation and in a purple blur retreat 10 feet, away from the goblins.

The orcs roar as the giant lifts his great axe as the goblins start moving towards you.

@The Party: Irraly is now in the middle of a frenzy of death. If nobody act fast. She may fall.

Irraly is furious at how these creatures had reacted, especially the little goblins known for taking care of the Rothe in her homeland. In a puff of smoke she vanishes 10ft. back holding her wounds. You will all die for disobeying me. And your corpses shall be used as a wall against the elves. Irraly says as she calls out in undercommon as if to a phantom army behind them that was in hiding.

"Dark elf...whatever threats you can issue forth are NOTHING compared to what the Autumn Mistress can do.

The rogue goblins rush at you and strike as best as they can but, the blades seem to miss their mark as you dance around them.

Then tell me this, Where is your mistress to protect you? Irraly says dancing around the enemies.

Seriously? I blatantly say this is an ambush, anyone with a brain can tell as much, even Aradia has the patience to hold back, but gods forbid another tree gets cut down because we were too busy making sure we survived... Or was she expecting the welcoming buffet?

Lúthon moves closer to the clearing, following Archadious's lead in spreading out and not getting too close to the clearing itself. The elf decides to once again get some use out of one of his personal favorite spells.

"Well, it's a good thing I'm here."
Thinks Archadious as he hides behind the foliage and watches Irralys get brutally stabbed by several small goblins. He watches as the orcs and the giant rush to join the goblins.
He begins to mutter an incantation and cast his most powerful spell.

"HeSeChuJiao-ZhuaZhuTaMen"

As he finishes the spell, a massive field of rubbery black tentacles appears, twisting and reaching for individuals to grab onto.

Alright, primary goal is to get as many of the orcs as I can. I'm hoping for at least 4 and maybe the giant.

@Irraly: The goblin looks up at your bleeding legs and grins.

"She is everywhere, dark elf. A mistress of Autumn hair and eyes that kill."

@Luthon: You look at the enemies assembled and use one of your finest spells. One that will knock every single enemy down with the sheer power of your mind.

The giant watches as the goblins and all but one orc are lifted off the ground a few inches as bruises manifest on their faces and bodies.

Someone made them believe they were being pummeled to death and, although standing, the goblins particularly look very much battered.

@Archaidous: You take out a piece of tentacle and fling it into the sky as this one drops on the ground and the earth shakes, causing a mass of rubbery tentacles to hold on fast to the orcs and giant.

Of all the orcs, one is held tight, as it spits blood, the crushing pressure to much.

The giant moves out of the rubbery field as it chops a tentacle up and stands right next to Irraly.

"Cleaving elves is fun...."

And watching a dumb giant scream as its skin is pealed off inch by inch is even better. She then turns to the orcs. I am giving you one last chance, obey me and take down this oaf or die. My house will not let you live any longer if you resist. If you agree we will put you to good use, Killing the surface elves. What would your god say? Irraly says to the orcs after they see the black tentacles and all the welts and bruise everyone but the giant had endured.

Meic quickly runs through his spell list again, and sharply intones the words to a curse, tracing in the air and his mind a sigil of a knife. He then loads his crossbow and looks at the group again, trying to pick a target.

It's a 20ft radius burst (that only affects enemies); I'm definitely hitting the goblins and the giant, and as many orcs as possible (if any; I'm not sure exactly how far away they are to where we are now).

@Irraly: The goblins, bruised badly and one of them with a large lump where its left eye would be, spits at your feet.

"This...this isn't how it was supposed to go."

His fellow goblin looks at him and the other one and nod silently in agreement."

However, the giant has released itself from Archaidous' mass of tentacles.

"She is only one little elf. A snack at best."

@Meic: You quickly trace the dark sigils in the air and a host of skeletal cherubs carrying daggers fly over the your enemies as these look in abject horror.

The cherubs giggle as the spectral blades sink in the goblins and giant's foreheads and then the goggles vanish through the woods as you load your crossbow.

Then enjoying dieing with your mistress when I get my hands on her slaves. Irraly says as if signaling for the army to advance.

@Luthon: The orcs see you after casting the spell and move out of the mass of tentacles after much effort.

One of them, however, is crushed as he lies entangled and dead.

@Irraly: The goblins are now terrified.

Should they listen to this dark maiden..or to death and beauty incarnate?

Aradia holds her ground, waiting to see if she can catch anyone without hurting Irraly with her breath weapon.

Sweet music is heard through the glade as Violet begins plucking her harp and inspiring everyone to greatness and vitality.

Irraly smiles as she sees the doubt in the goblins eyes. Lets get rid of this light shall we? She says throwing a globe of utter darkness up centered on the giant as she calls forth the magic of her anklets once more to bend space and time and bring her closer to her friends, not stopping as she reappears making a dead run into the cover of her allies. Thankful the globe of darkness would hide where she went from most of the enemies.
