The gleam of Hikari's blade reflets the light of the inferno for but a moment as the blade cleaves the shadow in twain, its mask obliterated in the powerful attack. The atmosphere grows even more stagnant, almost as if the world itself would begin to reject you soon if you stayed any longer than you had to.

"Zio."

Matt crushes the Emperor card in his fist, sending a shower of sparks swirling around him for a few moments. The motes of azure light form Hekatonkheries and there is a clap of thunder as the Persona fires twin lightning bolts at the remaining eagle.

Cupping his hands around his mouth, Matt calls to his friend. "Lachlan, get away from that thing! I don't want you to be in the crossfire!"

Edwin groans as the first attacks are launched.


The Magician card appears over his right hand and catches on fire.


"Lámhfhada." He says, shaking his head and letting the summoning finish.

The boom of the thunder cracks through the air as Hek's lightning bolt strikes it's target head on. The Eagle lets out a shriek as the lightning rips through it's hide, black goop seeping from the impact site onto the concrete roof.

With spontaneous flashes and shouts coming from every direction, Aster's senses get terribly mixed up. She shuts her eyes and covers her ears to possibly calm herself down. Her thoughts continue to add to her confusion, however.

Why is this happening? What did I do to get myself here? Two Lachlans? Do we need to fight? What does he mean, "I'm you."?
