Last time we played it was probably one of my most fun games in the league, as long as he keeps getting confused as to where the touchdown line is it should be a fun match

Ugh, what a crushing defeat. The dice gods were merciless to me- Whenever I was receiving I either got double skulls, or repeatedly fumbled the ball pickup. Added to the fact that Tasroth was clear and away the better player, and that converted into a curbstomping the likes of which I haven't had since I first started playing.

The second match between the Daggers and Ruddigore is complete, with a 0-0 tie. It was a fun game, and the only reason Thufir didn't win was an accidental missed blitz and a subsequent double skull.

Although my Witch Elf has been rendered unplayable with -1 STR, she only had 2 SPP and isn't much of a loss. I suppose it's better than death, I now have a substitute punching bag Witch Elf once I buy the new one.

I need to affix a big flashing neon sign to my laptop which says "PRESS THE ****ING BLITZ BUTTON WHEN YOU WANT TO BLITZ YOU FOOL."

Had I remembered that key detail, I would then have won the match, unless Luzahn then scored in 2 turns in response.
Although, to be fair, at an earlier point he could've pushed the ball out the sidelines, but for some reason he blitzed the wrong Vampire. Given that I was pretty much in control throughout the match and forcing him to make desperation plays to try and knock the ball loose, though, the draw smarts somewhat.

Also, I blame Tasroth for jinxing me by saying I was definitely going to win.

Just played my Wood Elves versus Winters Heart's chaos dwarves and boy was it brutal. I had my first death, but it was just a lineman so i saved my apothecary (which was a really good choice because it saved my wardancer from a broken back later.) I had a good chance to get the ball early but couldn't quite do it so he managed to score on turn 6. I almost got a quick reply but messed up and blitzed somebody in the way of my wardancer so she had to leap over the knocked down dwarf instead of just making one dodge away :(. I obviously failed and ended half down 0-1. Then second half I had a very early 2 turn score and almost held him from replying but he injured so many of my guys that I was reduced to leaping my wardancer into a cage for a one die block, (where she almost got her broken back off the failed leap). Needless to say he scored and with only one turn to reply I couldn't answer it. All in all a great game but really brutal.

I watched his match via the in-game spectating feature rather than over his shoulder partly because it's much easier not to comment on how he's doing that way.

Also, I was wondering, with the expansion of the league, will we have larger playoffs this season?

I honestly don't know how the dice can be so biased in one team's favour, everything I tried bar one stupid play towards the end seemed to work without a hitch and everything those poor rats did seemed to fail on the first action.

Props to Choyrt for sticking with it all and making the match the most entertaining I've had since I played him last.

The Amazons dominated the first half easily, but were thwarted in the second by extremely bad rolls and reckless play. An orc victory was narrowly avoided by a brave Orc catcher that broke his own leg in the endzone on the final play of the match.

So was it a tie, then? We seem to be getting a lot of those.

It was, in fact, a tie.

After some delay in arranging the match (somehow, the living dead have odd ideas of time), the Poets Society faced off against the Skaven Ekrund Infiltrators. The first discovery was that halfling chefs are sufficiently talented to satisfy even the tastes of ancient reanimated corpses.

A solid defensive effort in the first half prevented the Infiltrators from making real progress (and a few lucky dice rolls helped), with the ball being knocked loose and allowing the Poets Society to take a 1-0 lead into the half.

While the Infiltrators were able to put pressure on the ball, ultimately the Undead were able to push back the Skaven and score shortly before time expired, making the final count 2-0. A badly hurt Wight was able to Regenerate, but did not return in time to influence the match.

The same ghoul scored both touchdowns, and was recognized by the announcers with the MVP award.

These halfling chefs will be the end of me. I need to reduce the value of my team. 4 Gutter Runners actually wasn't that useful. Very fast yes, but all those Strength 2's meant my line would collapse.

If not for that failed Dodge turn 8 (and the fact that I somehow had a Ghoul pick up the ball and throw it, with a Wight that caught the ball and made the GFI for the TD), you'd have led 2-0 at the half rather than it being tied at 1. I don't know if I could have scored twice in the second half to tie, let alone three times to try to win.

I'll chalk up the four mummy-induced casualties as partially spillover from not having caused a single casualty against Science Officer's Skaven. Seriously, how did all of his armor 7 rats escape without a single one even being Badly Hurt? At least my mummies have been kind enough not to permanently injure anyone. Yet.

Odd line for an Undead team after three matches: 2 completions, 0 Kills. I didn't expect to throw the ball with this team, much less have it work at such key moments.

So, a very close 1-0 win for Chaos over the Lizardmen. With the dice screwing us both in the last few turns.

Still, no lasting injuries to either side.
