Basic FFRP rules of combat state Defender Decides. It's also an honor system but still. Please, as a general note to everyone participating in this RP Thread. Refrain from autohits/godmodding.

Generally their PC allies can handle their defenses for them, as Oliver just did for that scene when he appeared. If it's a strictly PvE, after giving a chance for other players to interviene, you can take control yourself.

Well, I haven't said I was in a room of my own, I only said I (while during nighttime) claimed a bed somehwere while hte rest were sleeping. So 2 things can occur: people already in a room wake up with more person then they went to sleep with, Robin has a room to his own. I'm trying to set up a moment of comedy here.. Besides, will the dorms be seperated for gender? Or will they be indiscriminate of gender?

Agreed, a character repository would be useful. And now, you're not too late yet. There are plenty of students that haven't been identified. Males seem to be the minority at the moment (not surprising given the 3/1 ratio in the show's main cast).

Alright, I posted a brief description of the trials. I will be creating a large map of the whole thing today on Inkscape as well.

It's a pretty difficult trial.

Oh man, this is moving so dang fast...I'm having trouble keeping track of the passing of time. Is the IC thread still set at the night before or the day of the initiation trial?

Also, "pretty difficult" is a seriously generous understatement for the trial...I mean, granted, several of the PCs seem at least somewhat experienced, but the monsters listed in the description sound like challenges for Huntsmen, not trainees...And yes, this *has* got me worried because my character in particular would probably be chewed up and spat out before even getting through the starting area.

I think it will be hard, but the lack of system (along with making things more difficult in describing and objective combat) frees up some options to describe combat more and finding a balance people are comfortable with. Instead of a dice driven combat you get a sotry driven combat in which narrative causality dictates whether someone kills a robot or not...

I'd believe that if the "monsters" weren't described as killer robots that're likely three times tougher than the Grimm seen in the canon. I can appreciate a challenge, but come on...Haven't we already established that these characters aren't on the same level of ability as those in the canon? How can they be expected to complete a more difficult trial when the mainstay heroes struggled so much with their initiation? It doesn't make sense to me.
