"Not really, it's just kind of depressing." says Krayger with a shrug.

"Well, my friend" Lovejoy says with a heavy sigh "I do believe I hear the sound of batons being polished so this is where we part. If you could just 'forget' to mention you saw me, that'd be great..."

Krayger pulls out a slip of paper and starts writing on it with a pen from his pocket that would be considered oversized to anyone without a minotaur's large hands.
"Sure, kid. Gonna take my brilliant escape advice? Take this either way. Let me know if you need help that won't get me fired."
The paper, needless to say, is his phone number.
Yes, the minotaur has a phone.

"Well that's mighty nice..." Lovejoy pauses as he considers where he could fit this in his already crowded wallet "...of you." He eventually summons the overstuff monstrosity, the leather spine straining against the small book's worth of loose paper. He scrunches it in one of the folds, the wallet making a tiny creak as it accommodates even more weight. As he forces it in the wallet gives way, the leather splits dramatically and the floor between the two becomes strewn with folded and scrunched miscellany.

"Oh! Come on!" Lovejoy shouts loudly, briefly forgetting where he is.

Krayger pauses for a moment to look at the mess on the floor. Then he bursts out laughing. It's a deep, sort of booming laugh you'd expect from someone his size, and it actually might cover up the human's about pretty well.

Lovejoy doesn't see the humor in this at all and falls oddly silent. A look of absolute dread fills his usually jovial features. He looks between the mess and the minotaur before dropping to his hands and knees and picking up whatever he can reach.

Interestingly he doesn't seem to salvage anything. He flips the papers over, checking each side for something and then discards it, all in rapid succession.

"Not really, no," Dipsnig says. "You can always go and look for jobs yourself. It's better than waiting."

Main Room

"Sadly, jobs don't jump into my ways. At least not those I could handle now."

Fade still got the bandages, which means he is still hurt.

[Dipsnig's Office - Cessie]

Dipsnig shrugs.

"It's up to you. But I wouldn't really try to force the issue. Nexus isn't just Inside, and we shouldn't try to narrow ourselves down to that city," he says.

[Dipsnig's Office - Cessie]

"If I wouldn't have cared about Inside, I wouldn't have joined the council in the first place." Cessie replies. "The council is about Inside after all. Watchtower isn't though, there is a difference."

Krayger gently pushes love joy away and pulls out a small pouch. Opening it up it creates a small vacuum, sucking up all the papers and then holding it out to them.
"It only sucks if you twist it when opening it. You can go through them later."

"Sadly, jobs don't jump into my ways. At least not those I could handle now."

And now Lovejoy's on his hands and knees for no reason. He tries to get up with some dignity, cooly dusting off his knees as he stands, but it's a futile effort. "Well..." he clears his throat "Isn't that handy."

[Deathkeeper]

"Well yes, it is. Which is why I'll want it back sometime. But for now you were making your escape, yes?" says the minotaur, holding out the bag.

"Alright then. Let's discuss it in my office," Dipsnig says, leading the Creation there.

[Dipsnig's Office - Creation]

The creation follows Dipsnig and, once inside, sits down and opens up its briefcase, taking out a small file which it places on the desk. "Now then. While the internal workings of the turrets must remain a secret, I have prepared information listing their capabilities, weaponry, defenses, blind spots and weaknesses. You did specifically request anti-air turrets after all, so they are not capable of repelling much in the way of attacks from the ground. That said, any attempt at sabotage is all but guaranteed to fail. Or, at least any attempt at sabotage that isn't going to create a very loud explosion and immediately be detected by you."

[Morty]

[Dipsnig's Office - Creation]

"Right," Dipsnig says, looking over the blueprints. "I'll examine those in detail. How soon will you be able to start?"

[Slii Arhem]

[Tunnels]

Due to a lack of other options, Dipsnig will wait until Krait has opened a passage through... this.

"At least we know someone is in there. I don't think it could have happened on its own."

"Someone was here," Krait corrects, advancing down the passage where the rat abomination was, covered head to toe in all sorts of awful bodily fluids from the beast. "Rat-Man could be somewhere else now. Could be dead, even. Better dead, probably."

Tunnels

Beyond the blockage, the tunnels have been worn surprisingly smooth by some unknown acidic substance that left marks in the floor, a network of small, smooth trenches that the various fluids from the massive pile of beasts collect in and flow down through. There seems to be a design to the patterns, drawing any spilled fluids away from the center of the tunnel and to the sides, keeping their footing from becoming any slicker than their gore-covered boots could cause.

Thankfully, no more walls of flesh, fur, or bone spring up in front of them for the remainder of their trips through the NO tunnel network, though it may be up to Dipsnig's sense of direction and memory to guide them from there to where Slii's warrens connected to it.

Dipsnig stops and examines the walls around them, seeming to count under his breath.

"Alright. I remember the way to Slii's warren. We should find him, or whatever remains of him, there. Once we do that, we'll decide what to do with all this mess."

He heads in that direction as he speaks.

[Lord Magtok]

Tunnels

"Explosives. Support pillars taken down, let gravity do the rest. Go to Trog's after, forget the whole thing after three drinks, go home, sleep, check Wall for bounties."

Sounds like a great idea to me too, Krait.

[Zefir]

"Then just get some rest," Dipsnig says with a shrug.



"Exactly. All I can say is that you should use your best judgement. I can hardly tell you how to do your job," Dipsnig says.

"I dislike the option of doing nothing. That's why I asked. I assumed you got stressed by something and I could take over the small issues to get you some time.

[Morty]

[Main Room]

"Well, thanks for the offer, but I don't think you can help me," Dipsnig says. "Wait until you've healed."

[Tunnels]

"Whatever is in there might well burrow its way back to our base. I need to know what lurks in those tunnels before I do anything," Dipsnig says.

[Shadowcaller]

"Exactly. All I can say is that you should use your best judgement. I can hardly tell you how to do your job," Dipsnig says.

[Dipsnig's Office]

"I always do." The sorceress gets up from the chair. "But I should leave now. My children needs me. Just try to arrange my contracts as soon as you can."

[Morty]

[Dipsnig's Office]

"Will do. Goodbye," Dipsnig says. Once Cessie leaves, so does he, to rejoin continuity.

[Dipsnig's Office - Creation]

"Right," Dipsnig says, looking over the blueprints. "I'll examine those in detail. How soon will you be able to start?"

"As soon as possible. Work can be done with pretty quickly, though it will mean that the entirety of the area will be somewhat...flooded with workers for a day or two."

As stated, there's no information on the internal workings of the turrets.

Key features listed though are its weaponry; primarily a precision laser designed to pierce and detonate fuel tanks or similarly vulnerable locations on aircraft, missile pods, and a high velocity projectile weapon.

Secondly, a couple of small point-defense lasers are mounted on each turret, primarily for use shooting down incoming fire, they're too small for anything beyond that.

There's designs to have the turrets be submerged and only activate when a threat is detected, and notes that there's no exposed parts on the outside of the turrets hence the claims that sabotage would require something quite...explosive, to be successful.

There's nothing specific with regards to sensors or how these turrets are powered, though.

The dull pastel brick red pterippus crisscrossed with battle scars comes trotting into the office, likely with a chaos mage of some kind close behind.

"Arright, this is the place," Sunder says, gesturing with a wing. "You can find someone to chat with about gettin' licensed. I got my own business to see to."

She won't even wait for a reply before heading off on her own to find an official sorta person to talk with about the recent attack on Trog's and how everything went down. Mostly just to report that she did in fact get paid for defending the tavern.

Always good to know plans are working properly.

Enter Phil, a normal enough looking human, if you can get past the orange irises. He enters shortly after the pterippus Sunder.

"Hello," he says looking for the nearest quasi-authority figure, or even quasi-sentient figure. "I'm told that I can get work here and that this is a good place to start for finding out about Nexus"
