Hay Bale moved forward and ripped a gag off. Twelve words or less, please. She turned back around and glared out the door, practically daring the enemy to come.

Silverpine? Her best friend, now sporting the fashionable look of a stern mare in uniform? Not unless they wanted her smile to be more awkward.


The Cap'n? Staring right into those leering eyes that screamed, "As soon as nopony's lookin', I'ma pinch your cheeks and hug you into next week!"? She was already nervous enough about being up on stage without the added pressure.

For the briefest of moments, before them stood not a gender-bent stallion stuffed hastily into a dress, but a fey princess of spring and beauty. Perfectly natural, perfectly innocent, and perfectly, heart-meltingly adorable. Madam Wheel squealed in delight at the results.

He dramatically pivoted on one high leg and flopped on his belly with one hoof outreached towards Silverpine. "Gyak....babe....my pancreas...too much cute......" He frothed at his mouth. The Captain could be very dramatic.

"Bomb...not in here...we're distraction..." One of ponies managed to squeak out towards Hay Bale, his gag slipping towards his small equine 'chin'.

The shooter batted at some of the icicles but could not get them all with their gun as one icicle pierced their leg and another slicing the tip of their ear off.

Boss Mare appeared behind Icy, a look of restrained wild eyes as she swung a pan off the floor to swipe Icy with.

"Oh Captain..." the lieutenant murmured under her breath, as she moved to catch him in the best possible dramatic fashion, in keeping with the scene, with nought but the slightest quiver of her lower lip to betray how affected she was with Sandy's new look. Well, that and an encouraging smile. "Mr... Miss Shores, you look perfect."

Oh crap. Icy realised far too late the presence of Boss Mare behind her, the ice mage turning and trying to dodge far too slowly from the swinging pan. A solid hit to the head which would send her stumbling to the floor, stunned, her ice shield falling to the floor and shattering.

"And it is not my call to let you go, since you wish to avoid the necessary paperwork," the mare retorts at they make it to the end of the staircase. As they make it to the exit, they come to an obvious area where they are in the clear and nothing bad can happen.

And since nothing bad can happen they'll likely make it outside safety.

Lone Star grabbed some utensils (without really paying attention to what he was grabbing) and hurled them at the boss mare.

On an amusing note, one of the items Lone Star had grabbed was a pot of hot water, used to be boiling, but time had its way with it. The pot flew overhead, flying over Icy, though, the hot water in it did not keep inside the pot. Icy would find herself splashed from falling hot water, while the earth mare got hit broadside by the pot. "Aah f(**!"

As the escort gets closer to the entrance, where only a few other guards would be seen, everyone else escorted out, one of the guards escorting Fox looked at the other one and nodded. He then whipped out a cloth and forced it over a surprised Fox's face.

"What the f....." He jerked his body in protest and then passed out.

"Balboa's order, milady," The guard told Ammy.

Esmeralda gave Lone Star an eyeroll, which clue the pegasus in on who was in control now. Then her horn glowed, as she swept her gaze around the room. Any cultist who had their weapons out in the open suddenly would find their weapon freezing cold, enough that it was literally starting to freeze over. And any who obstinately held on to their weapon? Well, they might get a bad case of frostbite.

"I know a certain mare is going to want to have a clear chain of custody, all things considered." She hovers the writing instrument over to the guard for a sign-off.

[Outside Bridle Shores - Present Day]

As the fires raged on, the good airship Cirrus floated impassively in the distance, deaf to the town's pleas for aid. Weighed down by a hold full of vamponies and crew tottering on broken hooves, what more could they do? Swoop in to save the day, only to need saving themselves?

Regrettably they waited, standing guard on their own ticking time bomb and awaiting the return of their engineer...

Chef Julienne stiffened at Hay Bale's harsh language but kept her haughty attitude though clearly she knew her flank had just been told off.

The rest readied themselves for Hay Bale's word....

Es did her thing, it happened, freezing, frostbite all that ungood stuff. Lots of yelping as weapons were tossed at their owners' hooves. While Es was casting her magicks, another frying pan would head her way towards her horn.

As Fox Trot is most likely about to be hauled off, Ammy can't help but face hoof momentarily. That does, however, still take some effort. Because fancy dress.
"And I keep explicitly telling him not to have that information make its way to my ears," she mutters.

Well, Fox is already knee deep in an impromptu shady-legal-dealing lesson, so he'd probably not care about what the lawyer is concerned about.

Esmeralda cackled as she froze the weapons off each goon's hooves. "Bwahahaha, suffer, fools--" Then the pan impacted on the distracted unicorn, right on the horn. Esmeralda gasped in pain as the magic fizzled, reeling backwards. Her headache suddenly redoubled, and the unicorn swayed as the world spun around her.

There was an animalistic snarl and Lone Star jumped onto Esmeralda's assailant, barking like a junkyard dog as he punched the offender repeatedly.

No no no, we don't have time to- DAMMIT, STAR!!! Her forelegs shifted into massive tentacles and she began lashing out at the cultist ponies. OKAY, GO FOR THE DOOR!!!! She screamed. Fortunately, Es had already removed the cultists' weaponry, so there wouldn't be much to dodge, if anything.

The assailant just laughed, a hollow, mirthless laugh and rolled with the punches, not caring that his ribs were breaking, jaw dislodged, the whites of his eyes now red.

The kitchen staff began to funnel out, trying to make their way out of the kitchen in barely contained panic. The leader of the cultists just watched, expression dead, weary, tired, finished as she began to mouth something.

3...2...1....

From the chaos there was a loud sharp and shrill electronic whistle. Bright white light emanated from one of the cabinets underneath of the several sinks, poking through the cracks. Some ponies stopped to cover their ears, some started to push and shove.

Lone Star didn't have time to cover his eyes or anything to really protect himself from the blast. His body was flung across the room as it began to collapse around him. As his awareness began to fade, he wondered only two things:

1) Is Esmeralda okay?
2) Maybe I'll finally get to die...

Hay Bale expanded her mass and attempted to take as much of the explosion's force as she could. However, she was only one mutant abberation, and she hadn't been able to get to the bomb in time. her bones shattered and her flesh burned as the ceiling came down on her. She tried to strecth her flesh, give the ponies she was supposed to be resucing some cover.

She doubted it would be enough.

The battered unicorn found herself flying through the air, and crashed bodily into a wall... Whether or not she sustained serious injuries was quite unknown at this point.

Ammy can't really respond to the rumbling or noise. If she's close enough to debris or the shockwave, she also can't really maneuver well in the dress, not that she's an action-mare to begin with. Not being a trained first responder or anything, the lawyer-pony can't think to do much but stare towards whatever is going on.

Hostages that made it out of the kitchen would still get the wind knocked out of them, some struck by debris but still breathing. Some were caught under debris and cried out for help. In the kitchen it was just a mess, rubble, dust, Hay Bale, exposed electrical wires, smoke coming from an oven that was catching on fire. Many of the cultists lay dead in the rubble, bodies as burnt as the kitchen, though if there were to be a roll count, two would not be accounted for in this room.

Luckily, and miraculously, none of the hostages died, mostly just badly injured but still kicking, having had made it out in time into the halls. One or two may be in critical condition.

Outside, sirens were going on as ambulances and emergency response teams and of course firefighters were called to the scene.

Hay Bale's consciousness returned long before she had enough control of herself to move anything. Many of her neural pathways had been destroyed through sheer force in the blast and needed repair. So she set to work repairing her nervous system for several minutes. She groaned as she finally regained control of her body and shifted back down to pony-size. The earth pony mare pulled herself out of the rubble, coughing dust up from her lungs. Her body shifted into a semi-liquid form to let her slip between the rocks, but there was still quite a bit of shifting involved.

A low, incoherent moan sounded from the ice mage, her eyes still firmly closed. Hay Bale certainly wasn't going to get her answers this way.

Voices, several voices sounded from down the hall, static-y muffled voices. The sounds of rubble being moved around, along side the occasional sound of electrical wires crackling.

"Hello..hello..anyone in here?" A voice sounded from the entrance of the ground zero kitchen, huge blocks of ceiling obscuring views. The figure shifted through the rubble, minding their surroundings as not to set something off, domino effect you know? Another firefighter entered the room, gas mask over their face like the other one. A muffled conversation was had.

A second later, Hay Bale would have a figure stand behind her. "Sir sir...we have a live one." A mare's voice sounded from behind the mask. Hoof steps sounded, coming towards them.

"Can you move well madam?" The other firefighter asked and then looked over her shoulder. "We got another one, unconscious by the looks of it, hurry and get them out of here." They ordered the other referring to Es' down and out self.
