With the thieves down the police make their way in to the building to free the hostages. Prismatica wont recognize any of the thugs currently taking a nap on the ground, it's probably reasonable to assume that they're local talent empowered by Mistress Nox to bolster her forces.

For the most part Platformer's search reveals nothing out of place in the store bar a disposable phone lying discarded on the ground next to one of the thieves.

"Hmm..." Kevin murmured when he found the phone, picking it up and, if he could get into it (since it's probably password-protected) checking out its recent calls, contacts, texts, and pictures (assuming it had any/all of those functions, of course).

The phone has no pictures on it, in fact it's a rather simple disposable affair. It has a small group of contacts on it, mostly just first names but one that stands out from the others reads simply 'Boss'. The recent calls show amongst other things a call to that number in the last hour.

"Kinda... too obvious, if you ask me", Megan mentions, "Then again, these guys weren't quite the masterminds either, so... should we try to track that phone? Police can do that - and I'm sure tons of people at St. Ambrose can, too... or, should we just call it?

"If we can trace the call it would be good. Might lead us to them. I don't know that calling would really help much, but- oh God sometimes I'm such an imbecile!" Kevin suddenly cut himself off. Then he did what he should have done the very instant their friends had vanished and tried to send a Chat to them. The Chat was effective at up to a mile, so if it got through it would narrow down their search area. Come to think of it, with his speed, he might even be able to triangulate them or set up a sort of spiralling search pattern.

Platformer: Emily, Vanguard, Lilith, Kaiju. If you get this message me back. And if you have any clues where you are send them too!
Platformer: We believe the people who took you are called the Shadow Thieves. Prismatica here might be able to tell you more about them if you're up and fighting and could use some tactical data.

I figure a "failed" chat would still pop up for Kevin, it's just that no one would respond. So if it doesn't work, he really has no way of knowing if that's because they're out of range, in an area that blocks such communications, unconscious, dead, or just can't respond (although the latter is pretty unlikely 'cause Rapid 2).

Chat is open to the other PCs as well.

"YESSssss!" Kevin hissed with a short fist-pump. They were within a mile and could hear trains. That narrowed things down tremendously.

Platformer: Awesome. We'll be there soon.
Platformer: Guys, if there's anything you want to say or ask do so now. I need to close the chat to pull up the maps in my menus.

Jubliee city has a small network of abandoned subway stations resulting from a battle in the 60's between the Young Sentinels (St Ambrose's first super team) and the Cave King and his army of Underdwellers. In the present they are only accessible via certain sewer tunnels and are a popular place for he city's homeless community to shelter during harsh weather.

Down in the sewers it's pitch black, or rather it would be if not for the light coming from the open manhole and of course the Princess of Rainbows herself. Surprisingly the sewer itself is rather more spacious than one would expect with two narrow walkways either side of a stream of the city's waste. Pipes placed every so often along the wall spew even more disgusting unmentionable in to the sewer.

It wont take our four heroes long to come to the a door way, any attempt to bar it long ago pried off, the faint noise of trains can be heard come from inside.

It took all of two minutes walking through the sewers, trying not to gag, before Kevin muttered, "I hate sewer levels."

When they reached the doorway, he'd make a quick check of his city map to confirm it was heading in the right direction. If it was, he'd head through, unless one of the others was opposed to it.

Through the door lies one of Jubilee City's crumbling and abandoned subway stations, littered with the discarded remnants of things left behind the various transients that have used the station as shelter over the years. On the platform opposite them a man dressed all in black (who Prismatica will immediately recognise as Umbra) sits on a crate playing solitaire, almost immediate his eyes are drawn to the glowing girl.

"Uh, boss? I think we've got a problem!"

"What?" A woman wearing thick black goggles and a lab coat steps out of the shadows, her a shimmering black mass running down her back, it's none other than Prismatica's nemesis herself! Much like her cohort her eye is immediately to Darby.

    "Prismatica?!"
