Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
I thought they were completely random. There shouldn't be a method for the way they work.
(I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the fool's powers were random. At least, that's how they worked when I was the fool. Linky
When the real seer is called, the moderator should truthfully identify the chosen person as usual. When the fool is called, however, the moderator should identify the chosen person as a random role chosen from among the roles remaining in the game -- unless the fool attempts to identify the seer, in which case the moderator should indicate to the fool that the person he has chosen is a fool.Groom to the Haberdasher's Daughter.

I'm still not a big fan of following the fool. But Joosbawx is aparently high on other's lists as well.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
I still don't like following the guy who's entire schtick is having crazy, random visions. And his claims of "figuring out" the random pattern is somewhat disconcerting. I stand by my opinion from the last round.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Ms E stands shocked at the manner of Fullbladder's death. "That's just plain wrong... Since it hasn't been done yet, I thought I'd mention his burial. I assume everyone agrees to a honorable, proper burial, right? Um... I suppose I can scrounge up some shovels..." Ms E disappears into her home and pulls out a couple, although one is suitably smaller than the other to accomodate her size.
Ms E listens to comments from the Fool and other villagers as she digs. "Yeah, although I suppose that explains why the last scry showed Fullbladder as the rogue." *shrugs* "Seriously though, how do you have it figured out, Gralamin?"

If everyone really wants to know, I will reveal it. However I will die tonight for doing so. Are you sure you want me to?

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
"Bleh ... trading one wolf for one special power ... I don't know if we're coming out ahead in this. I do know that Gralamin's 'scrying' seems highly erratic to me. But then, there are others whose actions have caught my eye as well. The Llama/Fairy still raises my hackles; until I see more compelling reasoning, that is where my suspicion lies."

As usual, Blood carries his daily coffee to the scene. He sighs and takes a long drought when seeing the Ranger dead, and then throws his mug into the grass. *point at Joosbawx*

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Joosbawx moves with the rest of the village en masse toward the fire and discovery of Fullbladder's body. Grimacing, he turns away...straight into the pointing finger of Gralamin. Quirking an eyebrow, he asks,
"Before you condemn me based upon the theory of the Fool, I'd at least appreciate an explanation of what makes you believe, without a shadow of doubt, that I am a wolf? You won't have a chance to share it later if you are killed...so instead of pointing and working behind the scenes in secret I would appreciate at least a shred of evidence.
That being said...I am not a wolf."
((I usually don't check this at night...glad I did, I guess. Incase this does go out of character, I have been a wolf before, and when I was and called out on the carpet for it I never stated that I was not a wolf. Not imperical evidence by any means, but in case that holds any water for anyone I'm putting it out there.))

Ink stands looking at Fullbladder's corpse.
"Well, there goes the entire guard. Protection of the village my foot.. they were all either too busy dying or being wolves."
Ink grabs the other shovel and starts digging.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
El J looks at the shovel in Ms. E's hand and, after a moment, breaks down weeping at the thought of his friend Ceika. "I trusted her," he murmurs to the garter snake in his hand. "I miss her."
He finally gathers himself and shrugs at Gralamin. "It was bound to happen eventually." He rises to his feet, suddenly shedding his disguise of drunkenness. "Galamin tells you the truth. I am this village's Druid. Wolf and villager alike, you are all children of Nature, and she smiles upon you all." He winks at the snake in his hand. "Even you."

*Death points at Gralamin I need to point to someone, and working on random results don't bode well with me. I know you will not get lncyhed as well. Also, why was the druid mentioned? I take it the masons have contacted him, so I see no reason to reveal him as a target.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
I saw your appeal. I just don't believe it. Additionally, I'm not going to ride coattails on the _hope_ that the Fool believes the pattern is as simple as hit/miss in that constant order every time.
You're not my only suspect, just the one that's making my "something ugg" bump go off the most right now.Last edited by Helgraf; 2007-01-26 at 12:25 AM.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Ink stares in disgust at the touchy-feely treehugger hippie man and Ms Elaneous weeping on the ground.
"Less crying, more shovelling please. The corpse is starting to smell. And Druid, if you could stop talking to your little snakes and mice for a second, why don't you get some of your moles or badgers or whatever strange burrowing creatures you're friends with to help with the digging."
"I'd just like to point out that a Fool's 50% chance of netting a wolf is still much better than a villager's one in whatever shot. So unless you're utterly convinced without a shadow of a doubt that someone else is a wolf, why not play the higher odds? Does not apply if you're a wolf of course."
