Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
Well, I might have made a record for slowest DM, but a posting finally happened. Let's hope I can keep it up now.
Alright, as for the Sense Motive against AC and possible penalty question, I use the combat maneuver Sapphire Nightmare Blade as example that a check made against AC for some sort of ability does not take an attack penalty. That's how I've learned to play that, so I figure it is the best ruling I can make here.
Try not to make the fight too short though. I'm eager to see this more.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
I'm sorry, I thought this thread died, So i haven't checked it in a bit. I'm glad i caught it. anyway thanks for the information on the funky skill check as attack, it really did matter on what my next move was.
anyway, it looks like i rolled a crit on my second attack, also, super low damage as per par for the course.
confirmation roll.
(1d20+5)[6]
extra damage if necessary
(1d8+4)[12]
[edit]
Yup, the dice roller hates me. nat one, and max damage. *sigh*Last edited by TheThan; 2014-01-30 at 02:40 AM.

Um... removing the needle requires a standard action...

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
Nope not dead, just rather slow, which again I apologize for. A week or so can happen sometimes, but this was inexcusable. I am trying to make up for it however I can, I guess just by being more active now.
Also Edro gonna need an initiative roll from you too.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
You still hit though.
Also, just a minor note, removing the needle takes a standard action, so you might wanna change that. It matters because of the skill penalties, and because of the last part of Dichromatic Lotus Butterfly:

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
At Morcleon:
Edited my post, made my second one
Think you could repost your sheet? I’m interested in studying up your character so I can figure out how to defeat you!
Also, ouchy.
Anyway maybe we should do a headcount, see now many players we still have since we had quite a few and I’m not sure if we still have everyone.

I keep imagining that ASCENTION! being said like an OBJECTION! from Phoenix Wright. Is that intentional?

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
Yeah, sure.
I only have one of my maneuvers left readied though, which is a multi-target attack that I can reroll attacks on. It's not much more effective than just a basic attack when going with one opponent though.
No, but it's a pretty funny reference. I was thinking of it more as a battle cry, probably shouted in katakana.Avatar of Furude Setsuna, by Telasi.Originally Posted by Akagi

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
I'm up for a headcount. I'm here!
I g\should really look at everyone's sheets again though, see what's what. I don't always remember all the characters' abilities.
Also the OBJECTION thing was kinda what I was thinking too. But I do know what you were really going for with that Morcleon.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
blech botched first attack roll:
(1d20+5)[14]
Think I'm going to lose by virtue of being down 10 HP compared to Riko.
even if i could hit her for a fair deal, too many defense tricks.Last edited by TheThan; 2014-01-31 at 07:08 PM.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
Actually, Riko's first amulet was a natural 20, so that one hits anyway. Not much point confirming the crit, though, since Xera's AC is enough that it would require another 20. Also, you do get a Reflex save (DC 16) to negate the three damage from her stance.
And yeah, Dream Battle gives a very large number of defensive things, with reduced damage on offense as a trade-off. I think it's to replicate the feel of the Touhou games. You can dodge ridiculous numbers of attacks, but can't nearly put out similar damage.Avatar of Furude Setsuna, by Telasi.Originally Posted by Akagi

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
Yeah please do so.
Also Edro I'm gonna need you to roll percentile dice here. Kord Worshipper using immediate action ability, will describe after you roll, but I can't make my post without the results of this roll.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
well it looks like the fight is over.
really wanted to win that one; but it was MUCH closer than I thought it would be, specially since Riko is up 10 HP.
That deal damage to enemies adjacent to you ability is REALLY mean.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
Actually, that’s not true.
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/com...tiplyingDamage
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/act...m#criticalHits
You do roll your weapon damage on a critical hit multiple times. however it’s such a common house rule that it’s easy to forget that it’s a house rule.
.... sorry, I'm just being nit picky. I'll shut up now.

Re: For Alcohol and Glory! [OOC Thread]
I think we're using it here, that's why I mentioned it. Though you are right, it's so common it's often seen as the actual rule.
Also, that Tanglefoot Bomb is taxing on my Junkheap ability, at best I can make two on one charge of my junkheap ability then I'm pretty much tapped out.
