A man walks in. He looks extremely out of place, wearing a suit and a top-hat. He uses a cane, though he doesn't seems to need it. He walks straight to the bar and sits down. Even though he has never been there before, he says The usual. There is absolutely no way the waiter/waitress could know what he is talking about.

Garrett raises an eyebrow. The other huntress hadn't told him about dust, and it sounded like some kind of drug.

[Deathkeeper]

"Magic fuel, I presume?" Spako asks, mentally joking at how Garrett seemed pretty excited to make these orders and has let most of them get cold at this point.

[Arkhosia]

Yep!

Caelynn replies, pulling a red crystal out of her pocket.
This is dust.

"Looks like Kool-Aid," Garrett peers at the dust with obvious interest.

"...you keep a solid chunk of magic fuel loose in your pocket? Isn't it, you know, a little dangerous if something hits it?" Spako asks, a bit worried.

Strangers wandering in and asking for unknown drinks isn't as uncommon an occurrence as one might think. While there is a short, bemused pause from the barman, he is swiftly presented with A Drink.

It's pretty nondescript. Generic alcohol, ice.

The man may notice he is being inspected by a small mechanical drone, hovering a short distance away. It whirrs and buzzes as its single red sensor focuses in on his person.

This isn't the usual! The man lifts his hand that was holding the cane, that now holds a dagger. He slams the dagger into the bar next to the drink.

[Baeleck]

'Well for all I know, it is the usual,' says the bartender. 'Be more specific next time.'

Isn't that excellent? Just the sort of lousy service Trog's is renowned for.

Niara frowns ever so slightly at the angry top-hatted man, though there's also a glint of curiosity in her eye when she sees the swift transformation from cane to dagger.

"The nexus does weird things to precautions," Garrett chuckles.

'Well for all I know, it is the usual,' says the bartender. 'Be more specific next time.'

The man sighs. He drinks the drink. Uggghhh! He spits the drink out at the ground. He is obviously disgusted. Get me something better. The knife is lifted and brought below the counter.

Spako sighs. "Yes. Yes, it certainly does that."
he says, brushing the crumbs off of his scaly hands and going back to shuffling his Deck.
"You gonna name that crow, Garrett?"

[Arkhosia]

I'll invest in runes or something then.
Caelynn replies.

The man sighs. He drinks the drink. Uggghhh! He spits the drink out at the ground. He is obviously disgusted. Get me something better. The knife is lifted and brought below the counter.

The barkeep's smug expression transforms into one of mild alarm, and he takes a step back away from the counter, out of easy shanking distance. 'If you could give me some idea of what you'd like, that would be helpful...'

Non alcoholic. You don't want to see me drunk. Something sweet, just not grape flavor. The man looks calmer than he was a second before.

"I dunno. Hey crow, you got a name?" Garrett shakes the pesky corvid off his shoulder.

"Corvis Rex. 'Your highness' to an unwashed peasant such as yourself.'

[Baeleck]

'Alright, um... here.' A suitable drink is quickly retrieved for the top-hatted man; it's a clear, slightly fizzy, citrus-flavoured beverage.

[Deathkeeper]

Spako snorts.
"Well, considering the Deck conjured you up half an hour ago and I haven't seen any soap around, it's accurate to say you've never washed in your life. And since you're naked and Garrett isn't, I'd say you're more of a peasant than he is. Thus, 'rex?' I think not."

[Arkhosia]

King of a scavenging species. Sounds very noble.
Caelynn comments sarcastically

Garrett laughs as the crow splutters.
"I'll have you know we crows are one if he most intelligent species of bird there is!"

[Deathkeeper]

"Oh, yeah? Well, you weren't intelligent enough to think and talk without a second lucky Draw from Garrett, so congrats, you're only two million years of natural evolution behind the humans, as opposed to two and an eighth like the parrots. And ravens are just as smart as crows but bigger, so you lose in that one too. Sorry, buddy."
He's making up numbers, of course, but the crow can't prove that.

If you're so smart, then what's 73 multipled by 136?
Caelynn asks.

The man takes a sip. He seems to like it much more. Ahhh, thank you The man throws plenty of money on the table. He then rises to meet other patrons. Again, he is carrying a cane, and the dagger is no where to be seen.

Niara figures she's probably spent enough time durdling around in Trog's now. That was the problem with using the place as a dimensional hub - one was inclined to get distracted.

But she had work to do, or rather, work to look for. She'd just completed her last job, so it was time to hunt for a new one. Leaving another few coins tip, she hops down from her bar stool and makes for the door, nodding politely to Spacko and Garrett, whilst also adding a 'thanks again' for Caelynn's benefit.

The drone follows out after her, obedient as always.

"Well-I-it's!" the ctoe squawks and splutters and flings nasty feathers everywhere, "I don't see you inbred primates at any institutes!"

'Maybe you should be nicer, then, eh? We don't even work at institutes and we've ou'smarted you!"

[Deathkeeper]

"I can light things on fire with my mind. What would I do at a normal college. Face it buddy, you're just as lame as the rest of us. Nothing wrong with it."
He chuckles.

Filii aproaches Spako, interrupting the argument. Hello kind sirs, is there a problem? I may be of assistance. The man has a suit, and he walks with a cane.

Caelynn tells the bird smugly.

"Signal...I don't think the other huntress told me about that. What is it, some sort of PACK-esque super school?" Garrett pats the crow reassuringly while it undergoes a conniption fit.
