Spako stops and looks around. Nope, definitely talking to him. Reall? All the stuff happening in Trog's and he thinks them talking might be an issue?
"No, we're jut talking. Don't trouble yourself, sir." he tells Filii.

Ahhh, OK. I have never been here before. Do you know of any good drinks that you could recommend to me. Filii stands there until he gets a response. If he gets a suggestion, he will go back to the bar.

Caelynn looks confused for a second, then realizes her mistake.
... Oops, I meant Beacon Academy. It's basically Hunter College.

"Green Russian," Garrett suggests, then turns back to Caelynn.

"Are there other academies you could go to? Or other things you could learn?"

[Deathkeeper]

Spako looks at Garrett as he speaks up, then turns back and shrugs.
"He hasn't choked on the lemonade, either."

The man turns and walks away. As he walks he swings his cane, breaking the leg on a random chair. The patron sitting in the chair will find their chair falling to the ground in a matter of seconds. As the chair tumbles, Filii continues to walk away.

There's Sanctum, Beacon, Signal, and a few others.
Caelynn replies, sipping a glass of soda.

"Good schooling there, then? What's the age group for attendance?" Garrett's been looking for another place to learn since he left PACK. He can't really attend a normal college.

Spako scowls at the man's exit. What a prick.
"Sounds like a young adult range, given Miss here."

"I'd attend, if the other huntress hadby described Vytal as such a horr'ble place. What they're doing to the Faunus isn't right," Garrett almost bites into a honey roll when the sound of shattering chair makes him drop it.

[Arkhosia]

Sanctum and Signal are both 13 to 17, and Beacon is 17 to 20.
Caelynn replies.
It's getting better, at least.

Spako will catch the roll if it's in danger of hitting the floor using Mage Hand, one of his favorite cantrips, and levitate it back to his hand.
"Does this always happen when you try to eat? If it does I'm surprised you haven't starved." he teases.

"I know what it's like to be discriminated against," Garrett says, gesturing yo his hands and eyes, "And I don't like it. Were I the fool I once was, I'd endeavour to overthrow those responsible."

Garrett laughs at Spako's joke and takes the honey roll graciously.

I can understand why.
Caelynn replies uncomfortably.
Seems she isn't to fond of talking about getting back at those responsible.

Garrett kooks Caelynn over for a moment, and clears his mind to focus his empathy on her, trying to see if anything lines up with the previous huntress.

"As it turns out the Nexus is pretty good about it. Individual people might have trouble taking certain folks seriously, but for the most part people don't care about that sort of thing. I just hope my kin back home do fine without me. Sir's harrowing mentioned that I'd do good things for them. Fat chance of it now."
Spako says with a sigh. He wishes he had his ship back, Nexus or not.

She has a lot of worry on her mind, which she's trying to suppress. Ark being vamped, Magtok and DC, Saahep, her relationship with Magtok and Ark (AMEN members, she's a HALO member)... She's uncomfortable about the whole "fight the oppressors" thing because of the White Fang.

"We could bring your people here, Spako," Garrett says, putting a hanf on his friend's shoulder, "Many a people have taken exodus here and found it better, or made profitable trade 'twixt here and home."

He decided not to press into the relationships, they're not his business, and his only one ended in him being bitten by a vampire and gaining an unhealthy obsession with saving the girl that bit him. One thing does bother him, though.

"What is the 'White Fang', Caelynn?"

"That's the thing though, Garrett, it's not that it's the atmosphere or oppression around Wildspace that needed to change. It's that kobolds aren't that common, and on my homeworld most of their clans are xenophobic little ****s who need a slap upside the head. The slapping was going to be my job. There was a small merchant fleet set up by some from some other planets, but the Elves got jealous and fragged it. Pothoc elves."
Spako's ears perk at his question to the girl. She hadn't mentioned that name. Garrett never said he could read minds!

And of course,he can read minds. It's a radical Pro-Faunus organization that attacks and terrorizes those who are anti-faunus or do not, in some way, treat faunus equally.

"Then perhaps we could get you back?"

He turns back to Caelynn.

"I don't read them, I feel them. I can't help it, I'm sorry. If I focus, I can filter things out and figure out who's feeling what, but most of the time its a headache. This headband was made to stop it, but its a but damaged, as ye can see. From what I've heard, though, some of Vytal's people deserve such attacks."

[Deathkeeper]

"But then my player wouldn't be able to keep using me!

Are you letting The Bear get to you, Garrett? Smashing people and their stuff is never the solution until you're at open war, and one of that scale would raze the continent."

[Arkhosia]

He turns back to Caelynn.

Not all do, and violence just proves them right.

Garrett shakes his head free of his violent thoughts and apologizes.

"It is more than the bear that disturbs my tranquil. Fire and steel run through my veins as surely as blood."

[Deathkeeper]

"It's okay, Garrett. After all, I'm pretty sure I can eat metal. Plenty of weird natures at the table. Although I can't say I'm surprised your subconscious is getting irritable, you've tried six times at this point and you can't get around to actually eating your order!" he says, trying to lighten the mood a little.

Garrett laughs and nods a finger at Spako, then finally bites down on the roll.

With a loud bang, the sound of ripping clothes, and a flinging of dark red hairs, a reddish bear with a confused look on its face and a now even more tattered jacket on its shoulder now sits on the shatteres remains of Garrett's seat.

"Hruuh?"

Spako stops, stares, and snout-palms, all in about two seconds.
"There we go. I knew you had too much control for the card to not give you the curse. Still though, third time this month. I guess the Deck just likes bears.
Now, the last person to draw the Bear could still talk and was pretty much the same person besides the brute force thing, Garrett, so just stay calm and don't freak out. It's probably not a big deal
The time it takes to change back is kinda random, so we'll just have to play it safe and assume it might be a while."
Pleeease don't be permanent or something. Spako's pretty calm about all this. Probably because he's dealt with this before.

Caelynn, startled, teleports a few feet away.
What the **** just happened!?

Garrett growls and gestures and bear-shouts, and in another loud bang and a flash, is a human again, pointing at Spako.

"...don't want to be a bear but-! Huh? OH****EMYPANTS!"

He attempts to cover himself up with the remains of his jacket. He's got whipcord muscle from his training and travels, but most of it is horribly disfigured by massive scar tissue.

[Deathkeeper]

Spako chuckles. Heh, humans with their organs they obsess over covering. Of course, he's not going to go around pantless either, that'd be cold.
"Garrett Drew a card from the Deck that does that sometimes. Hmmm, that's odd. Usually a full body change absorbs clothes like a polymorph spell. But you only changed for a minute instead of a few hours, so I guess it evens out. Here you go, Garrett. I've been trying to sell these for ages."
He pulls out a set of silk clothes sized for a tall human. They may or may not fit.
