I've got an insane pseudo-ai stuck in space at the moment. Perhaps the satellite network picks them up and the Tizona's faulty matter regulator forces them into a physical body?

And Havel the shotgun knight could possibly meet something in the hunting grounds. What's a revenant?

Imagine if people playing WoW couldn't log out, die if their character dies with no revives or anything, and die if they are separated from the controller.
Except it's a virtual reality headgear thingy.

A revenant is technically a fairly generic term for undead; the version in question, however, has an aura of crippling fear, can telekinetically manipulate its weapons and can only be properly killed by removing its armor, as well as a cursed object worn under it, though it can 'die' before that. It also feeds on blood to grow in power, much like a vampire.

Edit: @Imp: Probably somewhere between those. Some amount of magic, and regeneration, but likely not to the extent of those if they're magic-users, specifically.

Kinda, though hilariously it was conceived before .hack came out and the author had to be convinced to stop sitting on it and actually make it a thing.

I'd send Riley in after he and Sarah are done, but that could take a while and as much as I love abusing the kid, I don't want him to actually die.
