Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VIII: [Demotivating Intensifies]
If you want an intelligent rust monster cohort that doesn't require transplanar breeding programs... would using Baleful Polymorph on it, then Awakening it, then using Dispel Magic to turn it back into a rust monster work? A brief bit of googling results in a great wailing and gnashing of teeth and shrugging of shoulders as to whether a creature laboring under the first would qualify for the second. Though I think I would allow it, personally, if the original creature possessed animal-level intelligence (or if they failed their will save).
This gives me a crazy itch for an adventure hook, too: an awakened animal is being pursued by a group of adventurers. Said adventurers are the awakened animal's former allies; they Awakened him after a run-in with the baleful polymorph spell, as above, and now have access to Dispel Magic and want to return him to normal. But that would mean that the personality he has now would be completely erased when the old self is brought back, since dispelling the polymorph returns one's old ability scores and memories.
Also I wonder if you could BP a given creature, claim the resulting kitty-cat as an animal companion and then dispel it. But I think that, at the very least, is way too ripe for abuse, all things considered. :P

At the bottom.
Attack on Titan: The only setting besides Paranoia where going through a character per session is considered a good thing.

Only A character? I'm pretty sure a game of paranoia should be a character per player. At least, after the inevitable last-second orgy of backstabbing. Which most certainly never happens because Friend Computer is more than capable of mediating all disputes that could lead up to such.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VIII: [Demotivating Intensifies]
...one character per player per session? What? This is Paranoia. Games don't LAST more than a session. And players get six lives at a minimum.
Also, Friend Computer should have a friendly voice. Making him sound sinister misses the point. He should be terse and friendly even as he sentences people to death for treason.Last edited by Drascin; 2014-04-07 at 06:44 PM.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VIII: [Demotivating Intensifies]
IMHO, it went a bit downhill after [REDACTED] happened. It kinda went from being "The Madoka of Shonen Anime" to being "A (Pretty Good But Still Mostly Just Another) Shonen Anime."
(I would like to point out I still put "pretty good" in that description.)
Anyway! Some Nobilis love:

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VIII: [Demotivating Intensifies]
They only last that long because re-inserting a character back in the middle of a mission is a pain. So any deaths are final until the next mission. Its not as much a 'how will we fulfill our mission' as to 'how hilariously/disastrously off-rail can we go before someone blows us all up'.

Re: D&D Demotivators Episode VIII: [Demotivating Intensifies]
...Thaaaaaaanks, Doorhandle. I had stuff to do the last couple of days, ya know. :P
Seriously, that show is so silly and dumb and amazing. It's like Fist of the North Star if you gave it a sense of humor and replaced all the exploding bikers with Redwall-level food porn.
(Also, the producers for the English dub are named Hunter and Cook? Funimation, you are having a giraffe.)
I know to what you refer, but not why you bring it up. :P
So I'll just say that the show is good at what it does, but doesn't do what I wanted it to, and trust that will serve as an adequate response!
And now, a poster addressing a subject that is near and dear to my heart:

Seriously. Camping is like half of your job, guys. If you're still using a blanket and bedroll your second week on the road because you're saving up for armor or whatever you really need to examine your priorities.
Edit: actually, how about we make a challenge out of that, since there doesn't seem to be one going? Roll out your best homages to decadent homelessness.Last edited by Time Blossom; 2014-04-09 at 12:52 AM.
