A brief bit of googling results in a great wailing and gnashing of teeth and shrugging of shoulders as to whether a creature laboring under the first would qualify for the second. Though I think I would allow it, personally, if the original creature possessed animal-level intelligence (or if they failed their will save).

This gives me a crazy itch for an adventure hook, too: an awakened animal is being pursued by a group of adventurers. Said adventurers are the awakened animal's former allies; they Awakened him after a run-in with the baleful polymorph spell, as above, and now have access to Dispel Magic and want to return him to normal. But that would mean that the personality he has now would be completely erased when the old self is brought back, since dispelling the polymorph returns one's old ability scores and memories.

Also I wonder if you could BP a given creature, claim the resulting kitty-cat as an animal companion and then dispel it. But I think that, at the very least, is way too ripe for abuse, all things considered. :P

    Anyway! An unrelated poster:

Only A character? I'm pretty sure a game of paranoia should be a character per player. At least, after the inevitable last-second orgy of backstabbing. Which most certainly never happens because Friend Computer is more than capable of mediating all disputes that could lead up to such.

...one character per player per session? What? This is Paranoia. Games don't LAST more than a session. And players get six lives at a minimum.

Also, Friend Computer should have a friendly voice. Making him sound sinister misses the point. He should be terse and friendly even as he sentences people to death for treason.

Honestly, the one time I ran Paranoia, my Friend Computer voice was based around the voice of the Turrets. My friends thought it was creepy, so I think it worked well.

They only last that long because re-inserting a character back in the middle of a mission is a pain. So any deaths are final until the next mission. Its not as much a 'how will we fulfill our mission' as to 'how hilariously/disastrously off-rail can we go before someone blows us all up'.

You can also do it in hexadecimal: "DO [insert whatever needs doing for the plot] EXACTLY AFTER A SECOND(S)."

and not to forget there are 10 kinds of people, those that understand binary and those that don't.
