Jack looks out over the campus as his minions go about their work and nods to Tenebra, who curtsies politely.

"I'm on to bigger and better things now. Soon, my obstacles will cease to be. The people of Inside deserve a better class of nightmare, and I..."

Jack's face darkens and he laughs, a low, coarse, rumbling sound.

"...Well...I'm going to give it to them."

See, change and chaos are closely tied. Large quantities of change cause chaos.
Lyrina points out, before focusing, radiating magical light to try and break the bonds.
And I hope for your sake that nightmare won't be destroying all light. Creating an absolute, that's something I won't allow.

Jack and the Underbed's shadows come from a place with no light, and are weak to it's burning wrath, but these have been bolstered by the light resistant darkness of the Dimmer Witches. The bonds weaken momentarily, but Tenebra focuses, not wanting to disappoint Jack, and they hold-however briefly it may turn out to be.

"No, no. You've got it all wrong," Jack chuckles, "The shadows are our most powerful weapon in this plan...but they are not the end to it, and neither is chaos. I want a controlled change, not a mess."

However may thugs there were before, there are now none as Krayger uses his superior skill and strength to beat the last two. This just leaves the twins (for twins they are).

Cassidy's burst does not seem to hit the sniper, but she does get in cover. She isn't even going to peek out for a bit.

Krayger removes his axe from the thug's head. He gives it a quick wipe on the man's clothes before advancing into the path of the melee twins, swapping weapons again. Sadly, his player remembers continuity, which means his shotgun is out of ammo, which means he's going for the pistol. No point in using the marbles, he's just going to assume cyber-arms don't protect their brains, and just go for headshots before they can close on them.
"Cassidy, keep 'em off us if you can! Driver, get to that tire, we need to book it once we trash these clowns!" he hopes she doesn't mind him giving orders, because she doesn't appear to be doing so.

Cassidy would be giving plenty of orders if this were a run more like the stealthy break-ins that she's used to. She's been in loud operations before, but never as a leader of that kind of fight.

She keeps an eye on the sniper, waiting for her to pop back up again. In the meantime, she turns her weapon onto the twins, firing a burst in their general direction.

"Job's a good 'in, yoor 'ighness!"

Jack claps his hands together and rubs them conspiriatorially (that may or may not be a word).

"Perfect! We have the plans? And the adjustments are made?"

"Wwwwwonderful! Tenebra, dear, let your people finish taking the notes, then lift the spell, could you? I have somewhere to be, shortly."

"Yes, love!" another curtsy.

((The Dimmer Witches and Black Bards come from Quietia, a planet of eternal darkness and creatures that hunt by sound. As such, while it seems like they control shadow, the Witches actually control darkness, which is why they complement Jack so well, they eliminate his weakness. They can't harden it and use it offensively like Jack, but they can darken areas, cause sleep and hallucinations, make the darkness tangible (and comfy!), stifle sound and light, and slow time in dark areas, plus your typical, witchy herbs, brews, charms, and broom riding. The Black Bards have sonic attacks and lullabies and the words of power and are pretty much heavy metal assassin musicians. Their home planet is ruled by a tentacle monster that rules thousands of other world's, but Jack managed to whisk away all the 12-22 year olds from Quietia by stealing them from their two academies, but the others are still there, as well as those already shipped off as slaves. They're not used to freedom yet, and have a Gothic/metal theme to them. Jack's been training them to work with his night wyverns.))

"I must be going now, dear. Stay safe," he pulls a small child's been out of seemingly nowhere and disappears beneath it.

"I will!' Tenebra curtsies and then, just a second and a half after Jack is gone, meekly squeaks, "I love you!"

The black fog fades away and Jack's minions blend into the crowd as the party resumes as if nothing happened.

Well now... shadows, nightmares, somebody's wifey, goddesses... this is all terribly interesting, but I'm sure my contract has been well and truly completed...
She turns to Tenebra, pulling out a card with a vector of her wings on it, the other side bearing a number in Braille. My card... I doubt Jack needs it himself, but you can keep it.

Whether the card is accepted or not, the moth-lady starts to flitter away.
