An active imagination was at least a good sign of a brain well exercised. Riss knew better than to expect either of her fey to share her predilections toward how she used her own mind, although she was still attempting to supply at least a few of the basics towards that respect. "I see. Are there any of them that you like in particular?" she inquired. Really it was just making conversation as her pixie relocated the pair of them to wherever she had planned.

"Hey, Mimi?" she asked after a few moments more, presumably after the pixie had elucidated either way on any art she was fond of. "You know how I'm working on learning more about runecraft and the like? I know I mentioned it a bit while I was working on the circle with Sora in my lab but I don't think I really spoke much of it other than in passing.. Anyway, at sometime later, would you be willing to help me out with a few experements?" she asked. Hopefully harmless ones at that. Not that they're naturally dangerous so much as I'm not sure I completely trust my current level of understanding..

"Um..." Mimi flies backward a short ways and stops before some big, green, toothy, beastly thing. "This one is pretty awesome. It's, like, a mix between a bear and an assassin lizard. Except with more spikes."

And now a shift in topic. "Oh, yeah sure. I can help you out! I have no idea what to do, but I can just do whatever you need me to."

Laela plops back onto her butt, but she's not letting the fairy go yet. "Ya. Daddy says I talk good." She pauses uncertainly. "You're shiny." She observes.

"Shiny, yes," says the fairy, glancing about before peering directly at Laela's pudgy face. "Don't look too long!"

There's a puff and a flash of light as the fairy attempts to startle poor little Laela. Hopefully enough to loosen her grip, whereupon the fairy will dart away out of sight!

"Hey... you're home now. Maybe I should get home as well." Dena states, blinking as her eyes are hit by the dazzling light. Drow from her world didn't have that poor light vision but in her drunken state she actually had a bit of a hard time seeing.

Cassidy looks over the tower for a few seconds. "You got one glam place, Tina," she says. There's a slight slur to her voice, although her body is more able to process alcohol than most. "Normally not my style, but you're okay."

"Aw, you're jus' sayin that," Tina bubbles at Cassidy, leaning on her a bit as she admires the waves of mellow light. Then Dena suggests headin' home! Oh well. She supposed that was inevitable. The pianist gives her one last starry-eyed look. "You sure you don't wanna come in?"

[Fettina's Place]

Shrike also looks just a little surprised at Sebastian's seeming obliviousness, but Fettina's wandering hands prove a very adequate distraction. Grinning a bit dazedly as well, she accepts the photos, letting Tina look. "Hey, babe, you toot my horn, and I'll toot yours. You did great." Grinning more, she winked at Sebastian. "Sure you don't want any compensation?" she drawled, winking.

Tina's Apartment

Oh. Oh. "Oh." Comprehension dawns, and Sebastian bops himself on the head with a laugh. "Oh dear, I think I must've left my wits behind somewhere. Possibly when you two started smiling at me." He does seem to recall being much more eloquent when not trying to flirt. "But, yes, that does sound.. very tempting."

Tina laughs and pecks Shrike on the ear, her eyes drifting back to Sebastian. Now he gets it. Her smile grows. Tina lets Shrike go and oozes off the side of the bed, naked as the day she was born. All that's left of her outfit is the hat. Her feet pit-pat gently against the cool floor as she slowly, slowly makes her way over to Sebastian.

Her slim, dark figure presses to him. She flicks her thumb and knocks the hat back at a jaunty angle. "I hope so."

Suddenly, with a click, Tina tries to take the poor photographer's wrists and cuff them together! No wonder she had the other hand behind her back. Shrike may well have noticed this as Tina was moving, and can intervene.

Otherwise, Sebastian will get one last wicked, pearly grin before he's dragged off behind one curtain he won't soon forget.

"I won't bore you with the details. But I'd love it if you told me one of those stories, Shark," Max says, eyes lingering on his date's scars.

The flash has just the intended effect! Laela almost falls over backward she's so startled. Keeping a grip on the fairy is her last concern. When she recovers, the feychild looks at her empty hands in dismay. She's lost her new friend, and that can have only one reaction; the little girl starts crying her little lungs out.

That's Sakura's queue to hurry into the room, but no doubt the piercing sound will wake Adir first.

Thryza giggles, snuggling next to her fiancee. All soft and fluffy and big, so much room to cuddle up in...

Hildur lays back in the futon and keeps her gaze on Thyrza. "Hard to think we were in sleeping bags not too long ago."

"I don't just say things to say them," Cassidy says. When Dena mentions going home, she doesn't look shocked. "Ah, let her go already."

"Hmm..." Shark looks over his various scars for a time before indicating a burn Mark on his shoulder. "See this? Didn't come from any old flamethrower. I got this fighting something called Peace Walker. Barely managed to escape from that and still get a rocket off."

"Peace Walker?" Why Max sounds absolutely mortified! He eats daintily, propping his chin on his wrist and watching Shark with those haunting eyes. "What manner of thing was it?"

"Laela?" Adir grumbles drowsily, throwing up a hand to shield his eyes from the sun streaming in their living room window. "Laela what's wrong?"

The fairy, meanwhile, peeks out from behind one of their family photos, uncertain of itself.

Laela says something in between sobs, but it comes out entirely incomprehensible. Sakura appears, her attention going right to her daughter, but then up to Adir when she spies him. "Is she okay?"

Adir swings his legs off the couch and moves onto the floor, getting close to his poor daughter. His eyes only flick to Sakura for a second. "Um. I'm not sure. Laela?" Well, now's a good a time as any. He tries to pick up the weeping faechild and hold her gently. The stag grins at her. "I can't help if you don't tell me what's wrong."

"Very. Even when I wasn't sure about being with a woman, I still wanted to be closer to you," Hildur says.

"Peace Walker's a robot," Shark says, as if robots were a thing in the mid-70s. "A huge walking tank, had all sorts of weapons. We were fighting it because it was going to launch a nuke at our home base."

Sakura raises an eyebrow. "Little person, Laela? You mean one of your toys?" She asks gently. Laela shakes her head. Not one of her twos.

Therlynn arrived at her and Eyros place, carrying Lysandra. She lays her down in her cradle, and plops down on the couch, taking a breath, and saying to Eyros, "Wow...I still can't believe we have a daughter now."

She sounds like she's about to say something else, but is cut off by crying from the other room, at which she frowns and says, "Let me go see what's wrong." A few minutes later, she's back, breastfeeding Lysandra and saying, "I think she was just hungry."
