Except, in English, ignoring unusual accents, cease and seize aren't homophones... Sorry.... Had to point that out.

In that case, I'm thinking a society of tribes that dwell in the desert and the foothills that gather every so often in the regions only city to barter. Salt is their primary currency as all the tribes need it. They'd likely be distantly related to the Ashenites, and like them, make use of horses. Theirs are of lower quality, but better suited to the harsher conditions.

As for the Blazing Avatar, he should show up uninvited the next time someone hosts an event. Let me see... Last time was a ball... Maybe a tournament or sporting event this time? Nope, scratch that. It'd be too much effort to keep track of such an event.

Are ability score increases immediate or will they only come into effect the next round?

For example: let's say I've got Military 9, and I spend the first two actions of my round are spent creating military units. I will see a Military stat increase of +1 because of these actions, which would raise my Military stat to 10. Could I then use a Military 10 action for my third, fourth, or fifth action of that round? The rules make it seem like the success of the action is essential to providing a stat increase (and OOC we won't know success until the end of the round), but in-game logic implies that the bonuses would accumulate immediately.

Nope, all actions take effect at the end of the round. So, in that case, you could use your military 10 next round.

So, for example in my own actions, while I'm making docks AND boats, I already had ports to begin with, I'm just improving my ports, and creating boats. Not creating ports for my boats.

I believe some actions can take effect the same turn, but only in a fluff way, not for any crunch part of the game.

What do you mean exactly? What it takes to fully come into control of a region? Colonization and conquest both take 2 rounds, with one action per round.

You could order people or give them incentives to move to newly acquired regions, though. Or people may move on their own.

Hmmm, now I'm wondering what horses on salt flats would be like. Never were any irl, as they're not well-suited for most mammals, but it might fit if they were adapted for it.

I haven't updated my IC post yet, but Raaneka plans to host Olympic festival games during the second action of this round. Would this be a good opportunity for a thread like the Grand Ball etc? If so, should I just create a thread in the IC section and have at it?

Perhaps I should just throw out some suggestions.

Main title will be "EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II".

EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II: Civilization Not Included
EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II: The Dalai Lama Quarterback
EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Game II: 2 Quest, 2 Curious

That would be a very good opportunity, indeed! If you wish to proceed, you can just create a thread in the IC section, put down the premise in the OP, and have a go. We'll see how many people participate.

Maybe some kind of religious summit... Mosi seems to believe that other religions are just incomplete facets of Radurja anyways.

Oh, I recently realized that at some point I changed Radurja from Nadurja. It might have been a typo at first, but it's pretty set in now. So if anyone remembers previous mentions of "Nadurja" it's probably heresy. Don't bring it up

Like zabbarot I have my actions for this round squeezed in tight so I probably couldn't make it. I think a lot of people do, you may get a better showing if you wait a round or two.

Also, another vote for 2 Quest 2 Curious

Bummer! I'd love to have as many people as possible, but I'm using the Games as an opportunity for a lot of diplomatic action, so I'd really like to get it done this turn.

Behold, the Raaneki Games of 347!

Let me know if anything looks amiss.

For those whom I've PMed about diplomatic negotiations during the second action of this turn, this is how I decided to fluff it. I'm pretty sure we're all interested in talking to each other anyway, so if we're all in the same place we can conduct a full-scale bird-in-bush massacre.

Silverbit is the first to reply to the Codex as a Seeker =D I am excited. Seekers are followers of Radurja sent from Genivana to other nations to study their ways. So anybody else interested in writing about their nation from the point of view of an outsider feel free to join in

Edit: Would it be possible to attend such events without spending an action so long as you took no actions there? IE make no trade agreements, form no new alliances, ect. ect. It's fun to use stuff like this for fluff >.>

So I should assume that my secret action was determined to not be a curiosity action?

And that I should also assume SECRET actions no longer count towards raising attributes.

The games sound interesting, but unfortunately, this came at a bad time where I have three irregular diplomacy actions taking up my time.

Ok then. That clears up general rules specifics, but I need one more clarification.

Previously, I received only +1 Curiosity. If you count my SECRET action as Curiosity, then I should get +2. Was it determined to not be a Curiosity action?

Correct, by Morph. Morph gets the final say on secret actions, since I have no clue.

Also Wombat, the second post has a few errors concerning Celero, and ironically, your Country Lyradis.

Celero is importing Craftsmen from Lyradis, and Lyradis is importing Wood from Celero. "Oddities" notes Celero has Fish/Game, and it has been only Fish since round 2.

If it is this turn I cannot attend. My apologies.
