True but he makes it up by disabling traps and killing enemies that confront him too.

I also don't see 45 leaving...but we'll have to have something happen with Ardon at some point to make him more sympathetic so the others don't eventually get tired of his jerkishness and leave him. I could see it having something to do with the fact that his soul is missing. If he didn't voluntarily lose the thing it may justify a lot of his attitude.

Apparently I'm not allowed to just say "meh", even though saying just meh is exactly what I wanted to do, so I'll also say that this turn of events was predictable and boring, both Ell finding out incompatibility with her parents and the avenger prime starting working for her. I'm disappointed.

It's high-grade artifact magic, something on the order of "hurts the guilty and not the innocent" would be well within reason, though I'm not sure how that particular hypothetical distinction would be applied in this case.
