Alright, so last night some talk was made on the chat (which appears to be down at the moment...) regarding a possible Thieves Guild. I know a long time ago this was discussed, with Marciano leading from the sewers.

That never happened due to real life stuff bothering me at the time.

Buuuut, now it's all working fine, and with the new state of Marcy and the creation of Skyside, I think it could be rethought.

I know Magtok and a few others seemed interested, but if you have a character that might want to join, it'd be nice to know. Just wondering about interest and all.

The guild would be led by Jack the ShadowMan, but Marciano Louv're would supply jobs and targets.

There'd be pickpocket specific targets, clearing out stores, stealing from the rich, and even larger scale heists. The guild would NOT do any sort of assassination, and murder would be frowned upon.

Jack can recruit surviving Harlequin Crew members, but they might be too violent.

The Dimmer Witches and Black Bards'll be useful, though.

Violent types can be good. The Guild would offer loans to those who need to borrow money. Aaaand when the money isn't paid, the big violent guys need to be sent to reclaim said money.

Valcario would actually probably be a Thieves Guild enemy.

Thieves Guilds are too lawful. too orderly. take the fun out of it. The entire point to him is being a lone thieving vagabond who does it all by himself as an expression of his freedom. making it into an organization with rules? it might as well be a mafia by then, and mafias are the most orderly of criminals. and that just ain't right to his way of thinking.

you can make it, I encourage you, just saying that Valcario will be an enemy.

While Marciano and Jack both don't seem very lawful, a sort of honor code needs to be applied to that sort of thing. No killing, no in-fighting, no accessing the guild vault, blah, blah, blah.

Not really on the level of professionalism to be a mafia, but there would be a rule, and it'd be carried out. Lone thieving vagabonds, should they interfere with guild work, can be removed.
