Sure! Although mostly, Magtok seems to be trying to buy the slavers out of business, I think anyway- I don't follow HALO very often.

I would hope not. That's a pretty good way to convince slaver's that business is booming and they ought to bring in more stock.

Last time, he used magic/technology coins that dissolved after a few hours, so he'd basically rescued them without letting the slavers know they'd been rescued. They still went out to get as much new stock as possible, they just don't have the profit from the last batch.

About the Titan Shifter thing, Sophia might not be too formidable for the battles, Imp. She is quite skilled in martial combat, but is the reckless type of fighter, and hasn't really used her powers very much.

Well, as long as she's competent enough to dodge through tightly-woven patterns of bullets (and there will be room to graze the bullets and squeeze through some small gaps without taking damage, just like in the games), there shouldn't be much of a problem. That's why I gave the yokai multiple power levels: to offer a decent challenge to combatants of many levels who may want to try their luck and/or skill against them. I have an idea for Chiaki's fight to help even things out a bit if Sophia struggles, and there'll be a little time to recover between fights. Plus, if she really gets into a bind, Midori can take a break from damage control and keeping the enemy from running away to lend a hand.

I honestly don't know if the terms would be friendly exactly, she'd still be upset about the whole abandonment thing.
