Caelynn disappears, before teleporting behind Arina with a flurry of yellow petals signaling her position as she tries to grab Arina to use as a meatshield! I mean, surely Tenet's not going to shoot her partner in crime, right?
If you're senior members, explain why she just tried to shoot me!

Tenet rolls her eyes.
And do you see any bullet holes behind you? If she looks, she will notice a definite lack of holes where the shots should have hit, and she may remember a lack of the sounds of the shots hitting anything (if she's able to discern such things normally).
And when someone suddenly bursts in and points a gun at me, I find it a little silly when they get huffy when I point a gun at them.

After a thorough inspection to be sure the goddess in question is in one piece and intact, Arina grins at her partner. "I carry. You keep annoying insects off my back."

Death is part of nature, one of the constants in even the Nexus. I am a ronin, a masterless warrior, and wish to serve a noble cause. What better noble cause for me to serve than to protect death, a part of nature, keeping it from being bypassed, corrupted, or even ended?
I am loyal to the ends of space and time, and would even gladly kill myself if I was ordered to.

Civvy, from her place standing behind the kneeling Shantelle, shrugs a helpless shrug at Kyne and an expression that screams 'I don't even know'. Civvy definitely wasn't one to try to tell Kyne what to do, but, from her kneeling explanation of why she wanted to sign up, Shantelle kinda weirded Civvy out.

Tenet walks with Arina, rolling her eyes. Sure, when you're about five clearance levels higher, maybe. Until then, this is need-to-know info.

Well like I said, I was bred for the sole purpose of "crushing evil beings with maximum prejudice". I'm guessing I was sold off before I was born via a birth/breeding contract with whomever created me.

Eira smiles sympathetically and asks, "Aw..You want a hug?" Her voice is, oddly, completely free of sarcasm.

And so, hugging happens! It's...pretty damp and very cold, actually. Eira seems to sort of be huggling Grant, not willing to let him go, but it probably almost feels like the damp is seeping into his bones.

The feeling actually makes Grant laugh.

Feels like I ran through a sprinkler. Very refreshing.

Well, Eira's not letting go any time soon...She hugs sorta like an avalanche, as in burying, cold, and exhausting...Not the she seems to notice, or care. She's even so happy, a small snow flurry has formed above the two.

Grant begins to visibly shiver and looks down at the little Goddess.

Pesty is in fact coming up behind Grant; Eira may see a young adult woman with teal-streaked black hair and feline ears looking curiously at the pair, tail swishing.
The wedding ring she wears matches Grant's.
Must be the missus!

In her childish obliviousness, Eira keeps clinging to Grant not noticing his shivering, or, for that matter, Pesty coming up behind Grant...Instead, she simply murmers, "Mm...You're nice and warm...Thank you..."

Grant points down at the small goddess and says to Pesty, "I think this one likes me. Odd, isn't it?"

Pesty flails a little in jealous marital distress, but calms when she determines that Eira is in fact 1) cute and 2) not trying to steal her husbando.
Is she snowing on you?

Eira looks up at Pesty's voice, and smiles and asks, "Would you like a hug, too? Hugs are nice. They're a perfect way for me to show people how great the snow and the wind and the rain are."

Pesty hesitantly nods. She's really adorable... but wind and rain and snow are not fun for this science kitty.

Eira smiles and says brightly, "Come on in, then!" A gust of wind picks up behind her, trying to encourage her to make the hug a threesome. Meanwhile, Grant is probably feeling quite cold and wet by now...This is probably a not-good thing. She might give him pneumonia or something by accident.
