The dwarf looks to both Jacob and Sirah as well, "But truly! It is the greatest axe! It will cut through steel like butta! Ye'd be crazy not to buy it. 10 gold!"

Krill

You study the dirt. Conjuration is tapping into the power of the Planes, therefore, could the ground be infused with some sort of planar properties. You ponder this question while staring at it, but don't come to any conclusions. Just seems to be earth, albeit enchanted earth...

Sirah faces the dwarf. "I'm sorry, but I don't think my friend here is going to buy your axe. I did notice that the local blacksmith's is closed down for the day, maybe if you go wait over by the entrance you can catch people who were looking to buy weapons but couldn't because of the store's closure."

The dwarves eyes go a bit wide, you weren't perhaps the most convincing, but the dwarf definitely finds your reasoning sound. Without another word he runs the other way towards the blacksmith, as he does you can hear him shouting to people, "BUY MY AXE!"

Krill, satisfied with the discoveries, heads back to the fork in the path and takes the final, rightmost tunnel, keeping a keen eye out for other intruders.

Jacob laughs at the sight, yet looks intently at the dwarf for a moment, trying to figure out why he's so desperate to sell the axe.

Heading down that path, you soon find yourself at another fork in the road. The good news is, this time there are signs indicating where the tunnels lead. The bad news is, they're written in the language you saw on the sign before which you couldn't read. The only sign that is in Common reads, "DO NOT ENTER, DANGEROUS" which is on the left path.

Jacob
The dwarf is hardly any bluff. The axe has to be a scam of some sort... Though he's being quite obvious about it... Clearly a sign of... desperation? For whatever reason he really really wants to get rid of that axe.

Krill scales the wall, crawling along it's ceiling and heads down the left path, keeping his guard up.

Krill

Crawling along the ceiling you head down the tunnel. The tunnel goes downward a bit and for a while, not too long after a fowl smell hits your nose and you come to what looks like a gate leading to what you could only imagine to be a sewer. The gate is padlocked shut and covers the entire corridor.

Krill heads back, and ventures into the other corridor.

You move down the other corridor, moving down below you start noticing more pipes, and soon you come to yet another intersection, this time with three different passages, labelled in the language you don't know.

You do not detect any magic in this area.

Krill descends from the ceiling, dropping nimbly to his feet.

"Ah, there's nothing in here after all..."

Krill heads back through the tunnel, eager to meet up with his friends for the party.

Kojiro uses his spot to try and detect any other characters of interest within the grounds of the castle. Spot: (1d20+14)[24]

You fly around the castle area a bit, but you don't see anyone of note.

Everyone

You spend the rest of the day walking about or resting. As dusk comes you find yourselves heading together towards the castle gates. The group is together with the exception of Kojiro, still in sparrow from. Kojiro spots the group below by the gates.

There are a few noblemen around the area as well, wearing their finest suits and dresses. They look like they're waiting for something.

Kojiro intends to join the party from within the gates to avoid the 10gp fee. He searches for a place to shift within the castle area once guests are let in. Search: (1d20+14)[21]

Sirah walks among the various nobles, trying to discern what exactly they are waiting for.

Jacob walks around a little; without his armor, he fits in well with the nobles around the gate, although his clothes are of rather simpler design.

He looks around to see if he spots anything or anyone interesting or familiar.

You make a quick glance around the crowd, you don't spot anyone in particular though and quickly become distracted by other things.

Kojiro

Flying around the castle a few times, you swoop into a window and find an empty corridor to transform in.

Sirah

Walking about the nobles, you attempt to gather information. You quickly discern that they're waiting for the captain of the guard to come out and let them in.

You don't really see any.

Everybody

After about twenty minutes pass, a man walks through the gate. Over six feet tall and with wild long hair, he doesn't look at all like a town guard, but regardless, he introduces himself as... "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, I am guard captain Jonas." he makes a slight bow, though looks a little awkward doing so.
"I welcome you all to our liege's personal party tonight. As long as you have an invitation, or pay the ten gold entry fee, you are able to attend.
You may not bring any weapons within, obviously. Please line up and present either your gold or invitation."

The nobles talk among themselves and get into a line.

Krill walks up to the gate, digging out a handful of gold from his pack.
"Eight... ...nine... ...and ten! There you go!" Krill says dropping the gold in Jonas's hand, giving him a toothy grin. He closes his hands around Jonas', his eyes piercing into the Guard Captain's.
"Say, I had something I wanted to ask you. Surely you have a minute to spare, Captain Jonas?"

He looks to the other guards that are with him, and nods to them. He steps to the side of the line, arms folded, glaring at you.
"What do you want?"

Jacob makes sure his sword is safely tucked away in his bag of holding along with his armor, and waits on the line for his turn, absent-mindedly playing with a platinum piece.

Sirah also takes a position in the line. She removes ten coins from her coin bag and prepares to hand them off to the guards.

Darius waits patiently in line sweating a little due to nervousness and his armor .

Krill grins.

"No need to be so tense captain. I just wanted to ask you a friendly question."

Krill brings his fist to his mouth, clearing his throat with a phlemmy sound.

"I've been hearing rumors about a bandit king, and that he's been taking up residence within the city. As a patriotic resident of Reishier, I don't know if I feel very safe around walking the streets. do you know if it's true? If so, could you tell me what places in the city to avoid? I don't want to be harmed, you see."

Everybody

You each, minus Kojiro, pay your ten gold and walk inside. Any weapons on your person would be confiscated if you brought them with you, unless you want to try to convince the guards otherwise. You may try to conceal a light weapon with a slight of hand check if you wish. You are escorted down a few corridors by some guards and taken to a lavish dining hall. Beautiful stain glass windows surround the room, along with long sapphire banners depicting a large, golden triangular shield. Rows of tables with plates and utensils imply that a dinner will be served at some point. Servants begin walking among the crowd, offering drinks. The noble crowd begin to stand around and chat.

As a few minutes pass by more and more people show up, the room is slightly crowded, but not too much so.

Jonas scowls a bit at the question, ""Patriotic resident? How long have you even been here? Yours is a face that's... Hard to forget."

[Alhuggins]

"I tend to stay in a lot, because of this bandit scare. I'd love to get out more often, but I'm scared senseless of the notion that I could have my livelihood in peril. Anyways, could you help me out? Your halfling friend Cilia assured me that you'd help."

Jacob looks around, taking a drink when a servant passes by and rather cassually sipping it, he looks around to see if there's anyone familiar, overall Cillia; and he tries to listen to the conversation around him, see if he can hear anything interesting.
